This is wrong.
Check the FAQ rule for fractions. It should be, "Two and a half grand".
You're wrong.
Even a quarter million dollars gets transcribed as $250,000.

I said so because I was once marked down because of this.

If a speaker says, "One grand". You can transcribe as $1000, or £1000 as the case may be. Same thing goes for two grand, three grand or any kind of grand.
But once someone says something like, "Six and a half grand". If you transcribe it as $6500 or £6500, you might get away with it if you're being rated by a lenient rater.
But if it's someone like {30}. Trust me, you won't get away with it.

But just do whatever work for you, sha.

Dispute the rating if it ever happens. That's overzealousness.

Then, you should dispute that rating. Get a clarification from Slack. Take it up with Arlen. Whatever you have to do to get clarity. That was not a valid point. Like @Samsard pointed out, a quarter million = $250,000. How much more a grand and a half. It's $1500, bro.

It's far from logic o...
First off, you can only claim one call at a time per account.
So, if truly he's an army of transcribers, they should all transcribe from his account baa?
Are you getting my logic? wink

You don't download the audio, you just listen to it online (different from the first test)...

The audios are not live calls.

After the first test, you will have to pass another mini test (not audio transcription). The test is about the Do's and Don'ts at Qaworld and their FAQ. U will have to read the passage and answer the objective questions (they don't fail u if ur answers are not correct at this stage, u will only be prompted to select another answer)...

After the mini test, u enter ur PayPal email address and then you can start transcribing.
Please can you help me out? I have done the test, passed it and also the mini rest too. I even downloaded slack App please how do i start transcribing as I am using an Android phone. Thanks!

Just try and keep your account clean from any transactions. Just use it for Qa alone. Don't send Imoney to anyone or receive from anyone, just Qa alone. I just withdrew $321 few hours ago and it entered my account like speed of light. That's 4 weeks hustling for Qa. God bless the people who made this thread. God bless my oga at the top Thorrvik55, @Obi I see you grin I'm loyal.

I transcribed a call yesterday that the customer is a Nigerian, Igbo woman precisely. The son seems to be an extravagant person, so the mum was telling the rep to also include her email or phone number, so she can be getting update as well. She said she wants to teach the son how to be responsible. The woman was just tearing Igbo any how with the son while the call was going on. "Chukwuma, bia denye email address gi nga" was one of the conversations. Working with QA can be real fun sometimes. grin grin grin. The call was supposed to be 11.3 minutes, but the actual valid conversation lasted just for 8.4 minutes. The remaining part of the call was left for the son and mum to speak in the background.

I did one of a Benin man last week too. Got a 5 because his English was clear like a typical African trying to be careful not to make a mistake. Searched him on the internet in order to get correct spelling of his name, then I discovered he's been in the state for very long, yet he still speaks typical Nigerian english(in terms of speed). And one mumu girl go dey blow Amerinaija grammar because she study English for university. Despite sey she never even enter Benin Republic for her life.
