Victor Osimhen has been given the medical green light to return to training after spending two nights under observation at the cardiothoracic center of Monaco. It will be recalled that the Nigeria international felt dizzy and complained of chest pain during the first half of Lille's 3-0 win against Monaco in the Coupe de la Ligue on Tuesday, leading to his substitution in the 23rd minute. There were initial fears that he suffered a cardiac problem, however, medical examinations conducted in Monaco did not reveal any anomalies. According to French regional newspaper based in Lille, La Voix Du Nord, Osimhen flew to Lille late on Thursday afternoon, accompanied by Patrick Flamant, the doctor of Lille, who previously worked at AS Monaco. Lille coach Christophe Galtier has a big decision to make, whether to include his top scorer on the roster for their next match at Monaco this Saturday and he is expected to monitor the Nigerian on Friday. If Osimhen is not passed it to play against Monaco, former Chelsea star Loic Remy is likely to replace him in the starting line-up. 1 Like |

Philosopher1979: Now you are stretching the meaning of being REASONABLE to the EXTREME. KC has played 5 seasons in the EPL and has played 100 games and scored 18 goals. If everytime he plays he scores then how many goals should he have scored. You are the one doing mathematical theory of presumption by probability. Football is about quality and there is no mathematical equation that links time played to the probability of scoring. U deh deceive yourself infact you are deluded. There is nothing where those his statistics equates to excellence. It's the complete opposite but you guys well a lot of you are walking in fanatical delusion. 1 Like |

Jose Mourinho’s side, Tottenham Hotspurs are in discussions with Queens Park Rangers regarding the permanent transfer of England U21 international, Ebere Eze, allnigeriasoccer.com reports, citing a report by Love Sport Radio. The report added that the proposed transfer would see one or two Tottenham players join Queens Park Rangers as part of any deal. Having burst onto the scene during the 2017-2018 campaign, Eze has grown from strength to strength and is having his best season as a professional, with 9 goals in 22 Championship starts. Regarded as one of the top young players in the Championship by pundits, the 21-year-old was recently named as the second-best performing Nigeria-eligible player in 35 European Leagues by CIES Football Observatory. Eze has contractual obligations with Queens Park Rangers until June 2021 and is valued in the region of 20 million pounds. |

Gernot Rohr has received a vote of confidence from former Nigeria international John Utaka to continue coaching the senior national team amid speculation surrounding his future. The onetime Lens, Rennes and Montpellier striker made his thoughts known during an interview with French radio station ARL FM on Thursday. ''Gernot Rohr? I think he is a good coach and he has proven it,'' Utaka said on the radio programme Top Girondins. "Nigeria just had a good AFCON (3rd place) and there are good results in friendly matches, like against Brazil. He is a very good coach, I like him." Samuel Kalu is not a guaranteed starter at Bordeaux in the 2019-2020 season, making just three starts in the last ten games in the Ligue 1, but Utaka is backing the winger to retain his place in the Super Eagles squad. "If Samuel Kalu can be regular under his (Rohr) orders? In football, everything is possible, and it also depends on what the coach puts in place . But with work everything is possible and work is what pays in the end,'' he concluded. Utaka earned 49 caps for the Super Eagles before hanging up his boots and was part of the squad to the 2002 and 2010 World Cups. |

komekn: A significant part of the OPs logic was the relationship between minutes on the pitch and goals/impact made in that time. You have for your convenience ignored that and gone for goals per game which is in the context of OPs logic is mischievous. 5 Likes |

Watford in Talks to Re-Sign Odion Ighalo With Other Premier League Clubs Interested James Cormack 03 DEC 2019 Watford are keen to bring striker Odion Ighalo back to Vicarage Road in January, with the player looking to return to the Premier League. The Nigeria international left the Hornets in 2017 in favour of the Chinese Super League, moving to Changchun Yatai in a £20m deal before joining Shanghai Shenhua for a mere £5.3m fee in February this year. During his ventures in China, the 30-year-old has scored 46 times in 72 appearances. However, Ighalo is set on a return to the English top-flight, with Shenhua willing to allow their man to leave initially on a loan with a view to a permanent deal, according to TEAMtalk. It's understood that Watford's hierarchy are interested in bringing Ighalo back to the club, but they are just one of a few Premier League teams who hold an interest in securing the Nigerian's services. Everton, West Ham, Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Southampton are all believed to be chasing a deal for the former Hornet in January and it will likely come down to the striker's preference. Along with Michu's 2012/13 season, Ighalo is widely regarded as one of the Premier League's greatest one-season wonders after his impressive 2015/16 campaign for the Hornets. His 20-goal tally helped Watford earn promotion from the Championship in 2015 before continuing his fine form in the top-flight - scoring 16 times in 37 appearances. He would then go on to score just once the following season, before departing for China. However, after rediscovering his goalscoring form while in China, Ighalo could prove to be a very astute bit of business for the Hornets in their fight against relegation. With Troy Deeney's availability an issue and Andre Gray often failing to fire, Watford have only scored nine goals this season - comfortably a league-low - as they currently sit rock-bottom of the Premier League table. https://www.90min.com/posts/6510094-watford-in-talks-to-re-sign-odion-ighalo-with-other-premier-league-clubs-interested 1 Like |
