Is there any hope in the nearest future that cut off will come down to 467? My CRS score maxed out at that with all max parameters possible I and my wife have.
Thanks

There are different bodies who do this evaluation (ECA); WES, ICAS and so on. Like how we have NECO and WAEC.

I thought as much.

Thanks.

I will research on them.

Thanks again

Drum roll please....
It’s PPR!!!
Very silent reader of this Canada Express Entry forum. My first ever post here was just a few days before I received the Ready for Visa mail.
I’ve always had it in mind to leave Nigeria one day for the abroad. While I was still in university, I had researched migration to various countries including Australia and Canada, however I preferred Canada, Australia to me is just too far. Lol
Fast forward to meeting my husband who also had the same notion of moving out of the country to Canada. We explored the education route but it didn’t seem to play out. In fact I got discouraged when one of my close friends was denied a student visa even after getting admission. Seemed to me that the process was quite tricky and had more risks of refusal than express entry.
Did a thorough research about express entry on CIC , Nairaland and Canadavisa websites.
Decided to give the IELTS an attempt in Jan 2017, L7.5, R9, W7, S7
Got our medical degrees source verified by MCC. Experienced some months of delay with mine because my school didn’t respond to MCC on time. There was one non academic strike during that period. I had to go there several times and ‘greased’ some hands before it was finally rectified! Got ECA report in July, 2018.
Created an account on CIC in September 2018, CRS was just 414, dropped by 5 points to 409 after my birthday that same month.
Attempted the IELTS for the second time in October 2018, L8.5, R8.5, W6, S7.5 (After reading some people’s posts online about remarking some modules, I was encouraged to apply for EOR, W6.5. Unfortunately this was not enough to improve my CRS score, however I was happy I got my 15k back. Lol.)
Waited in the pool for sometime, hoping I’d get ITA or EOI from Ontario, but it never came.
After some encouragement from an unlikely person, my immediate boss early this year, I wrote the IELTS for the third time in March 2019, L8.5, R7, W7, S7.5 (dreamt about this scores) Victory at last!
By this time I had almost 4years of work experience and my CRS became 463 (had a dream about this too)
Got ITA April 17, 2019
Got my work experience letters from 3 places where I worked( including housemanship and NYSC) stating all that CIC required. Excluded that of my current place of work and attached LOE. I had some payslips for only my housemanship so I submitted 6months bank statements highlighting payments for my NYSC and the 3rd work place.
POF was 100% gift deed from my parent. Money was transferred in May 2019, but I submitted 6months bank statement and highlighted the day of transfer. Got bank reference letter and letter of non indebtedness. Included Oanda page showing the conversion rate.
AOR June 10, 2019 (didn’t pay RPRF upfront, wanted to get the request so I’ll know there’s some progress)
MEP/BIL July 16, 2019
Had like 2 GUs around this period. Checked my profile almost every freaking day. Lol
Biometrics was done 22nd July and uploaded
ABSOLUTE SILENCE AFTER THAT
Tried calling CIC with those call apps, just kept on ringing and no one picked. Maybe I didn’t do something right‍♀️
Wanted to raise CSE but got stuck where they asked for VO. I didn’t know mine, and I still don’t.
Saw a link for raising a CSE on Canadavisa which took me directly to where I needed without having to fill in VO.
Filled and submitted it on 30th November 2019. Basically asked for an update on my application and told them I was beginning to doubt my application would get a final decision within 6months.
Kept checking my account and then got a GU on the 3rd of December. Saw application/profile updated and the profile page had some slight changes like lastest update medical passed July 16 and percentage completion.
Got RPRF request letter the very next day, 4th December
My letter read admissibility review is still in progress and I was instructed to respond within 7days. Paid and uploaded the receipt that same day. Didn’t want to delay anything because the status was ‘action required’.
Checked my profile again the next day and ADR change from you need to provide additional documents to not applicable
I use my phone as a hot spot to browse on my iPad. I usually charge my phone overnight outside our bedroom. While I was reading on my iPad the night of that very same day(5th December), I heard my phone beep and I was just wondering who would send me a message at that odd hour. Something within me just prompted me to check my email on my iPad because I disabled automatic synchronization . Lo and behold my people, it was the Ready for visa mail!!! Came in at 11.03pm. It came just a few days shy from the 6th month mark.
I woke my husband up with the good news and we started praising God
This is the first ‘serious’ visa we would be applying for, the only travel history we have is Dubai.
This has been one of our major prayer points for a while now
It has indeed ended in praise

Hi DrAngie.

Congratulations on your eventual success! Only God could have wrought this.

But i am wondering. Is it possible to withdraw the IELTS scores with which one used is getting into the pool and submit a new and, most likely, better score report?

Also, wifey's M.Sc certificate wont be available until mid next year. How will she do it so that it can be captured when she geta in the pool by February next year, by God's grace?

Is it possible?

Hello. It would be helpful to state the type of certificate. That way, folks might be able to advise you if it would be evaluated positively. Good luck.

With an Msc and being under 30, you have a great chance of getting ITA to Canada.
Start on page 1. Read it like a book. If you read and still have questions, wait till you finish reading the whole page before you ask because your answers may be in the responses below it.
Step 1 is to simulate your scores. Use 8777 as the IELTS score benchmark and put in all the other details. Also read up on proof of funds because proof of funds for 1 person is different for 3 people. These details will let you know what your score is. Once you find your score go to https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/submit-profile/rounds-invitations.html
and compare it with the scores of the last few months. That will let you know where you stand.
Step 2 is to get your masters evaluated by an ECA
Step 3 is to get your proof of funds together.
Hope this helps

Hello good day. I’m thinking of going for express entry . I have msc econs. I’m in my late 20’s. Married with two kids. My husband is not interested in writing ielts. And he is not willing to travel yet. So how do I increase my points. I have not written the exam yet. Kinda scared. Can anyone help please. I also have a valid Canada visa which will expire soon.

You can take the CIMA certification if you've got accounting background, you can take the BCS certificate in IT, or the Hrdc diploma course in Unilag. These courses span from 6-9months.

If I'm opportune to get transcript from different institution and want to send it to Wes altogether without sending them differently, will it be acceptable by Wes?.
Thanks for your kind response in anticipation.

A JOURNEY OF A THOUSAND MILES BEGIN WITH A STEP…
ITA – 12/06/19
AOR- 25/06/19
BIL- 25/07/19
MEP 1- 25/07/19
Biometrics – 05/08/19
GU1- 05/08/19
GU2- 07/08/19
MEP 2- 16/09/19
GU3- 17/09/19
ADR(for RPRF) – 18/11/19 (submitted same day)
ADR changed to NA – 02/12/19
PPR – 02/12/19
VO- Ottawa
Family of 2
COPR: 23/12/19
NOC – 2212(primary) and 4031 (secondary) ECA: WES was used for the evaluation in 2018. The challenge faced was with the mistake made by spouse’s university on her day of birth. The university took up the responsibility by reaching out to WES for correction and we sent a corrected transcript as well. The follow-up was done through twitter and new ECA was issued for my spouse.
IELTS: The magic score didn’t come on a platter of gold. L:8.5 R:8 W:7 S:7. what I can say here based on my experience is that IELTS difficulty level varies, some can have an easy one while some might encounter a hard one. Bottom line is that we shouldn’t give up and keep on pushing until we get the desired score. The fact remains that everyone’s target is not the same. Also, its best to stick to one resource material. My recommendation still remains IELTS Liz (past questions and writing), E2 language Jay(speaking), ieltsonlinetests-google search (reading and listening) Medicals: We had our first medicals in July 2018 at children’s Practice (no longer listed by IRCC) hoping that ITA will arrive and due to personal schedules. We submitted it like that for AOR with one month to expire. The medical was passed. By August 2019, we went for another medical test proactively at Q-life (we booked via telephone then followed by email). We uploaded the medical reports via CSE and there were no issues and the medical was passed too. PCC: It was seamless at Alagbon in Lagos. I will just point out that after the first one expired, they changed only the certificate with an updated one without having to thumbprint again. It was uploaded like that and no issues at all. The price is very flexible and can be as low as #3500 up to #10000…make we shine our eyes wella. Other countries PCC that I submitted like UK and UAE were seamless as well.
POF: It was a gift from my family. It comprised of: one-month bank statement (shows the transaction dates), transfer slips, gift letter (not notarized) and exchange rate of the day (oanda and XE). I will point out that the bank statement was online generated version that I used.
Work Experience: My primary NOC employer wasn’t willing to give me the reference letter and it took time before I could gather the documents. I submitted salary certificate which covers part of the requirement of a reference letter, bank statement and a JD and work hours’ letter from a fellow employee and I attached his company’s business card. For my secondary NOC, it was my NYSC experience, I had reached out to my PPA (took time as well) and was given the reference letter in CIC format. I added my NYSC bank statement (no bank stamp) too. I will point out that the reference letter bears the salary paid by the school which was in cash and the duration was stated in MMYYYY format not DDMMYYYY format which can possibly give some headache about whether NYSC is one year or 10 months. A LOE was used to explain the documents in this section for clarity. Post-AOR: It was not easy because there were times of doubt and anxiousness. Generally, I prayed more and was positive throughout. It’s always good to find a distraction as this will prevent tension and keep sanity. lols Shout Out: There are some people whom have had opportunity to engaged with during this process and my post won’t be complete without giving them a shout out. @Newmum0615 (thanks for helping me fine-tuned my JD) @Ifeoma77(a lady with a beautiful mind, I appreciate you for the times I sent you on an errand for my EOR pickup and delivery, I am so grateful that you accepted my request for assistance even though we never met) @Topsmamen (thanks for responding to my email concerning our discussion on my reference letter) @Nairalandnewbie (am grateful to you for giving me a sample of a typical reference letter for consideration). Also to my friends here @Adeyemmy24 @bankedorcas for always checking on me. My June AOR crew ably led by my landlord @scandinavian02. Finally, to every prospective Canadian PR applicants who are yet to give up despite the challenges they are facing. God bless you all. Amen Final Words: Life is a journey full of battles such is this PR journey. We will encounter challenges but it varies, we can only win by not quitting because winners never quit. Likewise, faith is vital too because without it we won’t get anything done. I wish all of us the best. @Yemblaze @Eraytee @Stencil @Bankhy keep up the good work. We shall all get to our destination. Amen… Cheers

Well, those are the available options. Except you want to do a PGD course. People are doing these courses not because it's related to their field, but because they need to. CRS scores aren't looking like they'd come down soon, so make hay while the sun is shining.

Hello house, please I want to register for this BCS exam. I have an IT background already so I believe I can pass it if I study on my own. My question is

1) Is it a must to register through a Centre (ie Compunet in this case) before u take the exam or can you do everything online and just walk in and take the exam.

2) Can I get all the materials for the 3 modules online after registering for membership, cos what I see there is only the syllabus & Past Questions and not the materials.

Pls I will appreciate if I am added to any BCS WhatsApp group 08038630349...Any opinions and guidance from those that have taken the exam or about to take is really needed. Thanks in advance

Good morning sirs/ma,
Congratulations to all PPR clinchers and ITA recipients.

Please I am pleading with anyone that has an earlier date with Qlife to please swap with us.
ITA was received on Dec 11th and expiry date is Feb 10, 2020 which happens to be the only earlier slot left at Qlife.

We already made booking (family of 2) and payment done already. I already sent them an email and was told that they can't reschedule (REMITA receipt and ITA mail was attached to the mail sent). Please who can direct us on how to make them reschedule us for an early date.

God bless you guys.
