Well, until we know what the relationship between you and your neigbour was prior the Christmas chicken incident,
There is little or nothing we can comment about the poor dead chicken.
Even a mad man or woman won't just kill an innocent chicken and throw it in the dustbin on Christmas day if there is nothing hidden or unknown to outsiders.

I can definitely say it's because your poultry is a discomfort to them. The smell and everything. It can cause resentment.

the best answer i have heard so far.. We don't know the full details of the living conditions of the house.. Some houses don't like pets sef talk less of a poultry

Come 24th of December. I sold some and decided to give some to my neighbour because I thought I will be a greedy person if I don't do so.

I felt something when I gave a particular neighbour. She accepted but the happiness wasn't genuine because I saw it in her eyes.

I think the best item(food) to give out during a celebration like this,is drinks(malts, minerals,etc). Some folks don't may not believe in what you are celebrating, hence rejection of your food.People prefer giving them drinks to food in a celebration they don't believe in.

Pls ask her the reason may b you can learn from it and next always gives to those that need it by observating your environment not necessary your immidate neighbor

Just start avoiding her, talk to her, answer her greetings but just be careful with her. Such person can actually kill you.

I wud have said probably she’s not hungry because hungry person no Dey reject food bt then even if Ure not hungry u don’t waste valuable things u may need another time so there’s more to her action.

I don't know about other states or tribe rather but in Edo state, Neighbors exchange cooked food and when we were younger this was fun and you would eat till you throw up.


Fast forward to now, because of the fear of everything...very little of this tradition is happening today, even if it does people are scared to eat the meal just like the case of the OP and his neighbor (I wouldn't blame her).
