Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has rejected the offer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leadership to intervene in the conflict with outgoing Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson over the Soku Oil Wells/fields returned to Rivers State by the Federal High Court.

Governor Wike, in a statement by his Special Assistant on Electronic Media, Simeon Nwakaudu, said that there was no premise for the intervention by the PDP leadership, since the Federal High Court had already determined the issue in question

He said: “I don’t know why they are interceding. They have no power to resolve the issue of Oil Wells. Secondly, the matter has been determined by a court of competent jurisdiction.

“Anybody who is not satisfied should go on Appeal. Are they interceding on behalf of someone who betrayed the party?

“They know that Governor Dickson betrayed and sold out the party. They know that during the 2019 election in Rivers State, what happened in the state. That Dickson worked with my opponent.

Throughout that period, the National Chairman himself knows, that people were calling from all over the country to know the situation. Dickson never called one day.

“This was because of his alignment with the opposition . I can show proof that Dickson had already made up his mind to go over to APC.

“I am not going to sit down with anybody to discuss anything as it relates to Governor Dickson. I have no business with Governor Dickson.”

Governor Wike said that the right thing for Dickson to do is to resign from the PDP, so that PDP leaders in Bayelsa State can rebuild the party.

“In fact, Governor Dickson ought to have resigned from the party by now. So that the leaders of PDP in Bayelsa would rebuild the party.

“The National Leadership of the party should know that the only option left for PDP to be strong in Bayelsa is for Dickson to leave the party,” he said.

The Governor said that the party’s intervention is no longer profitable in view of the incalculable damage done by the Outgoing Bayelsa State Governor.

He said: “Where was the party when Dickson sold out? Why couldn’t they come out to speak out? Governor Dickson, you have killed our party in that State. What is anyone wading in for? I am not going to be party to that and nobody will stop me .

“Nobody fights Rivers State and gets any benefits out of it . I have said it severally. I am not here because of my interest. I am here because of the interest of Rivers State.

“The party would have waded in when they saw fraud. That Dickson was killing the party in Bayelsa State. He has achieved his aim by making sure nobody comes after him as he leaves office in February, 2020.

“Do you know the effect of APC winning Bayelsa State? And they are talking of wading in.”

And for Wike to be speaking like he own PDP. SMH, he is my guy but PDP is not a one man party, we know Dickson messed up Bayelsa but Wine should concentrate on Rivers and leave Bayelsa to bayelsans. What will he gain if Dickson leaves the party?

It is Wike, Jonathan and thier ilks that will leave PDP. Truth be told Nyesom Wike behaves as if he is the owner of PDP, Firstly without consultation with the leaders of the party he single handedly brought Modu Sheriff an APC goon to lead the party and we almost lost the party if not for God's mercy, He brought Secondus as PDP National Chairman (no problem with that), he insisted he will leave the party if the National Convention is not held in Portharcourt, we oblige him, not done he insisted Tambuwal must be it's Presidential Candidate at this point we said no,you are not god. He work against Atiku Presidential election, The only PDP Governor to congratulate Buhari when our party still have option of the Supreme court, this is a man who sponsored two aspirants in the PDP primary in Bayelsa State; Timi Alaibe and Okoko to the tune of 1.2Billion Naira, and having failed met with Timpre Sylva and the GMD of NNPC to sponsor David Lyon of APC all in a bid to get at Dickson, we have heard him say Timi Alaibe is good, no doubt that may be true, but does he Wike understand the politics of Bayelsa better than the citizens of that State? why didn't Wike support and hand over Government to Chief Sergeant Awuse who we all know is the most popular Politician in last 2 decade in Rivers State, most times the popular Politician don't get elected that's what happened to Timi Alaibe outside the fact that he suffers from GRASSHOPPER MENTALITY jumping from place to place, victory was not in is star just like Great Ogboru and Sergeant Awuse. Recently Governor Wike had a spat with Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State and that Governor told him we know those who has more pictures with Buhari not public grandstanding and playing holier than thou, how many Governors of the PDP does Wike relate with in PDP? which of the South/South Governors are his friends? is it Okowa, Ben Ayade, Emmanuel Udom? Enough of Wike and his goons. We will hand him the empty carcass of PDP, so him and Tambuwal can run for President with the Lily livered Jonathan as thier guide.

He made a serious point there by asking if people know the meaning of APC winning Bayelsa state. That's a huge huge blow on PDP considering it's the home town of the immediate past president and a core pdp state. APC having access to the vault of bayelsa state, can use it in influencing elections in other states and it would be hard for pdp to win bayelsa back once they are in the opposition.
