This match will make it a whole calendar year since Lingard last scored or assisted a league goal.

But watch him get a bumper contract in May

Nah. We played other tactics today. In the first half, we throughly dominated them
We had like 75% possession that first half, chasing for goal openings. It could’ve been 2 that first half.

It’s a forced error. If Perreira didn’t quickly close down that defender he won’t make that error.

The front 4 put on a good pressing game today. Same with the Newcastle match.

Pellegrini sacked. Not surprised.

Not true. We played good football in the first half.

Overall we can say the coach got the tactics and substituions right
Good football? We have always dominated mid table teams, to score is the wahala. Same happened today, we only got lucky with the first goal.

Anyway, I need to go get canopies and chairs for the party at Chelsea thread tomorrow afternoon.

The way we played in the first half was different though from our previous approach against small teams. We played between lines and it was wonderful how we connected

Naah!

He is most likely on his last United contract. He is 27 years old and he has 3+1 years left on his current deal.

First away Premier League clean sheet for Manchester United since Leicester on February 3. Martial has broken double figures a month earlier than last year; good going given he was out for eight weeks.

cheesy cheesy cheesy

I am happy, but we still have issues penetrating defences. Good thing is we have started capitalising on mistakes by opponents, that plus counterattack should get us going.
grin

Hopefully. That will be a way to start breaking down teams. We did create a good chance today while dominating - Brandon Williams lob to James- his blocked shot falling into the path of Martial whose efforts was cleared on the touchline by Bardsley.

More work needs to be done though. We should be scoring against these park the bus teams.

Marcus Rashford has been directly involved in 16 Premier League goals this season, only Jamie Vardy (20) and
Kevin De Bruyne (17) have had a hand in more.

Statement season.

Matic and Fred bossed the midfield effectively with elegant and pressure alleviating passes. Matic can still do the job against less pacy and pack the bus teams. Since he is 31years old he should be okay with 15 to 20 games a season.

28 games. 0 goals. 0 assists.

Jesse Lingard ends 2019 without a direct goal involvement in the Premier League.

I just confirmed, his current deal expires in 6 months. There is an option to extend for a year though.

He has 2 years left. His contract ends in 2021. His last renewal was in Mourinho's 2nd season

After recent evidence and DNA testing, results are now showing that he's not from Africa but from somewhere in South America.

We await more consistent performances plus results of the DNA test before we can finally ascertain if he's truly from Brazil

If they've finally overcome that "small team syndrome" and they keep it consistent, then we can definitely finish top 4.

I'm particularly impressed at how long we led 1-0 without conceding. We've dropped many points like that this season

“Jesse Lingard can't play in the centre, he should play a little wider in the next game, probably outside the stadium”
