I just discovered after making trip for Christmas, that my power steering pump was making noise while driving. I checked it immediate and discover that the oil level in the container is very low. I added oil when engine was cool and then discovered further that the oil finished next day.

I took it to the mechanic and he told me that the steering rack is weak or bad. he said I have to leave the car so that he can remove it and the. take it to ladipo for repairs. He asked if he should put engine oil to reduce the dripping or if I will be adding oil as palliative measures pending when I ll bring the car. I opted for adding oil myself.

can I bring the car to oyingbo with assurance that it ll be sorted out that same day? what should be my budget while coming? can the leak be repaired or the rack must be replaced?

You don't have to leave the car with your mechanic, Your power pump(the noise) and steering Rack(oil leakage) is bad and you need to change your power pump and your steering rack or you can kit, that is, repair your steering rack if you are on a budget. Proper kitting should last for 6 months. All these shouldn't take more than 3 hours.

-- Do not bridge your burnt fuses with copper wire, replace blown fuse.
