After reading comments to the thread I made last night , I had a change of heart. Earlier , I vowed never to allow that bastard come close to my baby girl. A father isn't one with penis , but one who takes responsibility.

So I spoke to my elder sister and she said my baby girl has been asking questions about her father . She said she is really missing the fatherly bond and can't really connect with her foster father .

Then I remembered how she always calls me and wants to come and stay with me . I have made plans for her to come over to stay with me once she was done with her SSCE but her mum said she should learn a skill first which she is learning .

I began feeling for her and understand that she really need to know the truth . Is painful on my side letting this girl know this cos it will really affect her psychology.
So I called her mum this morning and told her we will tell her the truth and allow her see her dad if the so called man shows interests cos right now , is his family that is making the calls to see her .

But I will never grant them custody over that girl neither will I allow them to spend a dime on her .
Let me see that court that will grant that irresponsible man custody just by planting seed with out looking after it.

I will keep you guys posted as we progress .

From you writing style you are under forty years of age. I’ll hazard a guess that you’re under thirty also. Why put another person’s responsibility on your neck especially when you’ll disregard the individual when you start making your own babies?

I cud remember..there was a time mum took us to Lagos to meet the old fool..
On getting there I was able to tell him"MUM HAS REALLY TRIED FOR US THAT HE TOO SHOULD DO SOMETHING"

Those words shocked him..cos he never expected such a young me could say dat..even mum was surprised..

The stupid man..came recently to apologize..but then even without mumcee saying anything..

We the children turned against him..

You want them to meet her but you dont want them to have custody. Good luck with that. They say when you give a mouse a cookie it asks for a glass of milk. By allowing them access to that child you have already agreed they are the parents and you trust them. Thats a 1st step. Soon na to hand her over. What I find very interesting is the guy sef really doesn't give a shít but its his useless family thay are putting pressure and you wabt to oblige them. Good luck to you

If you don't allow the girl to contact her biological father, she might feel like you are biased.

No matter the terrible things a parent might do to his/her child, there is always a lingering desire to know why from the child.

AN irresponsible man is an irresponsible man, leopards don't change their spots. For the family to suddenly show interest there must be a reason, either the man is barren or they want to use her for ritual to remove a curse from the father's family, don't fall for it.

in that case i think you should legally adopt her as a guardian before showing her to the father. that way it will be harder for the father to apply for custody. at least until she is 18 or 21

This one neglected two boys and went with another woman.The two boys are now doing well and in money. The papa don get accident (life threatening) them don pack his skeletal remains come them boys side.
