They take 10-15 persons from DE annually. Like 10 are from jupeb and 5 from B.Sc. They don't write any exams so it's probably CGPA.

Please, does Ebsu admit non-indigene.
I couldn't access EBSU's Merit list but I got the following screenshots from their supplementary list. You can try looking up some of those admitted for Medicine on Facebook to find out about the Indigene stuff.

If you look closely at the list, there are some glaring anomalies, take for example an individual who had 283 and applied for Medicine got Physiology while the ones with 251, 259, 265 got Medicine.

Udus mbbs is quite solid and running well. School fees + acceptance is less than seventy thousand for 1st year and lower for other levels. Hostel is cheap too but there are expensive ones. Admission for Deltans is usually Max of 3/4 of the highest scorers amongst the aspirants from that state. It's a fed. Uni and other states must be considered too. Just aim to be amongst the top 2 aspirants from your state and you're good to go. Also 320+ in utme should sail you in smoothly. There is no post utme as at now
My best wishes are yours.
pls how many years is med school in UDUS

hello bosses in the house. I'm a medical aspirant, dentistry to be precise as we all know 2020 jamb is almost out but I have major problem which is I don't know which University I am going to choose yet. I am from osun state I put in unilag during the last jamb but my olevel is kinda of weak, 3b3, 1c4, and 1c5 also I flopped in the postume maths is not my thing so I end up scoring 12 in the postutme and also I had 257 in jamb, in short it all end in tears. I have gotten the necessary textbooks for the jamb and I am positive I am going to do better than before I am actually aiming for 320 now. I need suggestions on the best institution to put considering my state of origin, olevel result and my deficiency in maths.
please I need urgent reply.

DELSU is a very funny school, they are not organized.. they just employ and device methods to trick and delay students....in 2018 gossssh !!!! My computer for the CBT exam was sooooooooo slow .For 50 questions under 30 mins a slow computer I'll click and wait while my time is going for the next question to come up. Other halls had faster computers, the kind of speed u see while writing jamb That affected me badly as i wasn't able to ansa all. I had 10 questions left unanswered due to the speed of loading questions .2019 they conducted DE exam where no candidate was allowed to use Pencil or biro, just go empty handed into the hall to face 50 unknown questions. Turned out to be a lil bit of maths, confusing aptitude test included, (The person who set those aptitude questions must be from the devil. Each question
had abt 2 or 3 examples and the main question it self. The examples had different method of looking for a solution, two or three methods could give a solution to the examples , but not to the question wtf!! the answer is there nonetheless, it takes longer than necessary to decipher, too long in fact. And you have 0.6sec for each question
. English where you'll be given questions, nothing in italics or bolded. You'll have to decipher your answer from the options. At the end of the day DE cut off was pegged at 86. The next highest cut off for which was for pharmacy was pegged at 56. The general performance year was low. How'd dey arrive at 86 no one knows

What do you think about UNICAL?
86? Maybe it is Einstein and Newtons they want to admit.
I don't really know anything about unical. I know her mbbs is fully accredited but i dont know how they admit.

Hey guys...

What do you advice someone from Delta state that want to study medicine at OAU? Considering the fact that Delta state is not part of OAU catchment area.
I guess you want to enter OAU via utme. Well just beat her merit cut off and you're in with 95% chance.
The minimum utme score needed is 320, anything less than that means you must clock 35/40 in OAU post utme to stand a chance. OAU post utme seems weighty and can either boost or drag you down. If your utme score isn't strong enough, please don't waste your time on Ife Mbchb.
Since you're from Delta, you'd be considered only on merit. Practice, revision and smart work should help.
If you don't mind, I'd suggest Uniben or Uniport save for if you're western states based.

Getting mbbs is more of personal decision than motivation. Your Olevel is not weak per se. Mine is just a little bit better. The fact that you are truthful to yourself in knowing that 257 in utme and12 in post utme is low for mbbs in unilag shows that you're ready to improve.
Since what you need is suggestions and not beating, dig into those books and ace utme first.
When your utme score is out, there will be arrays of university to choose from. Catchment stuffs is abolished but we all know how slow regulations take to get into practice so you can still put in for OAU.
And not all Medical students are math genius - just know the basics and a little bit of help here and there, you are good to go.

To other aspirants, I don't think I'm in the position to advise anyone because I still need advises and guidance too. But my Father usually tell me that "Sooner or later, you'll clock 25, 28 or even 30. You can as well be a Doctor too".
Smashing UTME is one thing, gaining admission is another facet entirely. Don't be too proud to seek help when you need it. Most of the bosses above have dropped awesome recommendations and I can't fault them.
You need to have start preparing for UTME if you truly want to ace it. You should combine textbooks but ensure they ain't contradictory. Also get a copy of a good PQ too. Most of the utme PQs out there are erroneous - Don't cram PQ answers for UTME. It might have worked for some but not all.
If you haven't started preparing, ask yourself again "Do I really want to study MBBS? Or I'm just deceiving myself?" Dust those books and start reading smart. Relax mid study, stay abreast with information, connect with other aspirants.
Know that UTME score alone doesn't guarantee admission, it will only give you a greater edge than your competitors. 450,000+ or so choose medical related course in 2019 UTME and it's my pleasure to tell you that I secured 1 of the slots available for MBBS in Nigerian University.
You are your biggest motivation, you are also your biggest drawback. Decide which part of you needs to take the lead. The motivated part or the part drawing you back. 'Build on your strength and work on your flaws' is one of my favourite quote. Except you're an All-rounder, there are 4 subjects in UTME and there should be subjects that you'll find simple or easy for you to ace them. Build on those subject - your aim in them should be having nothing less than 90 or 80. If during past tests or exams you usually have 70s in them, this is the time to ensure you reach the 90 pointer. Then those subjects that you know you have to do extra work to pass them well, this is the time to have them as your result back up and score booster. Ensure you study them too. Don't neglect any of the 4 subjects.
Biology, English and Physics were my stronghold. All in all, Find senior colleagues to keep you motivated, connect with other aspirants, Revision is key during preparation - don't just read and believe it has stuck forever like that, practice and practice over again and don't forget the God factor.

Salaam

Yes, OAU will accept without discharge certificate. Nysc is not a compulsory criterion for admission in OAU. I don't know about other schools

As for UNIPORT, do you know a lil about the medical school there?

As ShahRukhKhan has stated above the catchment stuff though has been abolished might still be used (Naija way).
Since you're from Osun state I'll recommend OAU too. You have a better chance there. And also their UTME is 50% post utme 40% and O'level 10% which according to what I heard is different from that of Unilag.

But at the end of the day, be sure to understand the system of the school you chose. Very important.

Also make sure you do your possible best to score as high as possible in your Utme to boost your chances.

Thanks I really appreciate, reason I choose unilag before was because it has the highest quota in admitting student into BDS program, and osun state falls under its catchment area. like you said I should try and Ace my utme first and that's what I am going to focus on now.
