Postgraduate?, do you mean PGD?
If yes, why not go for masters since your GP of 2.99/4 will get you admission for masters in tier2 schools.

Besides, I hardly hear of PGD in the USA
Yes bro, I mean PGD.

Bro, please can you explain what you mean by tier2 or rather the names of the school so I can make a research on it. Just checked tier2 schools online and I did not get clear info.
Thanks

Many thanks to kallowdean for fulfilling is promise . May God continue to bless you. House please help me to thank and pray for him.
kallowdean:
Congratulations to the college applicants that I have selected.

Well, it was not an easy task, reviewing almost 100 emails. Am not a perfectionist, but in all fairness, I tried my possible best.
Those selected know themselves and they are solely free to make comments here. Those not selected should not despair as many more chances will come out soon.

Some call it Christmas gift, while I call it service to humanity in all capacity we can find ourselves.
As at this month in 2016, I was still in Naija fight to get admission overseas. But now I hold an MSEE and am close to a potential PhD.
If not for God and the support I got from people like @Walspring @texterem and many selfless individuals, I would not be in the US myself.

So, glory is to God. We will continue to give back to the community for God's love.
Insha Allah, I will pay the application fees for them before December ending or first week of January.

Congratulations,
I'm also applying to NCAT, same course.

Can you please share your application profile

Sunmboo:
Visa approved
Interview date: Dec 17, 2019
Location: US consulate office, Lagos.
University applied: North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, Greensboro
Course: MSc Natural Resources/Conservation with $24,000 Research Assistantship. Bal ($7000)
Travel history: UK, US (twice), Australia, France, Ghana, Benin

Had the interview at window 8 (can’t really remember the number, but I am sure it was the last window). Everyone before me was denied including a couple who had been to US not less than 3 times. The consulate officer on window 4 was just denying people except extremely old people.

The interview went thus;
VO: Good morning
Me: Good morning

VO: Pass me your i20 and passport
Me: passed the i20 and passport

VO: Scan your right four fingers (excluding the thumb)

Me: I did just that

VO then typed in my document id on his system and began to make funny sounds with his mouth for like 10secs………. then, he faced me and asked

VO: why did you want to go to the US?
Me: I would like to go to the US for my post graduate program in Natural Resources/Conservation in the department of Agriculture and Environmental System at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical (NCAT) State University, Greensboro.

VO then concentrated on tying speedily on his system for many seconds. I was just thinking, what is going on here? Then he faced me again and continued

VO: why did you choose this course?
Me: I chose this course because the first postgrad program I had wasn’t thorough enough (I had already studied masters in the UK). The research methodology was qualitative, and I wanted something quantitative. And I’ve had several discussions with Dr ******** who is the head of the graduate studies in the department at NCAT. He has assured me of getting what I want. More so, I have gone through the curriculum of the course and I could see that they are wider enough in scope to deliver what I want.

VO nodding his head as I was speaking.

Believe me, in my mind, I was already thinking that all I’ve said doesn’t really answer the question. I was just tensed with the fact that the fate of all my stress on getting the admission and securing the fund would be determined in few minutes.

VO: what will you be doing after this program?
Me: I just said PhD. Then I continued by saying, I am currently in contact with **** university and ******* research organisation in New Zealand to take up a project in Nigeria towards the award of my PhD.

VO was just nodding

VO: Who will be sponsoring you?
Me: I just answered my uncle, then paused for like 5 secs because I never wanted that question as it raises concerns from what I’ve observed in visa interview trends. After pausing for a while, I continued by saying he owns an integrated farm after he retired as a bank manager some years back. (This was not how I planned to give my response)

VO: But you have an assistantship
Me: (I had already forgotten to mention this. I thought in my mind that it’s been discussed). So, I quickly said yes, I have a full graduate research assistantship.

Then VO started typing profusely till he said today, we are going to issue your visa. At that point, I wasn’t even interested in anything he was saying after as I was too glad that I just wanted to leave to call my loved ones.

I have really learnt a lot on this group and that is the reason I am providing this transcript as it would help others in one or two ways.

There are a couple of groups you can join on Facebook; there you can get answers to your questions. FPGEE and NAPLEX forums
AkeNathan:
Please is there any US resident who did his first degree in Pharmacy back in Nigeria?

Like someone in US who obtained a B.Pharm ( Bachelor of pharmacy) here in Nigeria ?

Or perhaps you know about that profession in the US?

Because I'll soon conclude my Bachelor of Pharmacy and would like to have an insight into my options in order to make an appropriate decision as soon as I graduate.

Hello...Happy New Year to everyone here.

I’ve been admitted for a Masters in Communications at Grand Valley State University but no funding/ GA yet.

Please I want to know if I should go ahead and pay my Sevis fee for my I-20 to be prepared or wait till I get a GA cus I think a funding/GA status is something that reflects on the I-20 document.

Please anyone with a helpful response...I will
be reading.

Cheers

If you're for fall semester, there's still time, so wait for the GA offer, and you can't even go for your interview until around May, so why the rush. Wait until you get your GA

And your i20 has to be issued before you can pay your Sevis

Good day,

I’m planing towards going for my masters degree this year. Pls how can I get a fully funded scholarship in the US and which exams do I’ve to write?

Also what would be the equivalent of a 3.21/5.0 in a scale of 4.0?

Thank you.

You have to write GRE bro, English proficiency test can still be waived depending on the school you are applying to.

Please do WES evaluation if you can afford the money, it usually results in a higher gp than in house schools evaluation. Your 3.21 gpa should be around 3.0 - 3.1 by WES evaluation. Also, find schools that accept WES.
