I saw this coming like kilode! Do you remember when I told this thread I was worried the organization would hate on the “slimreaper” after he left?
If him begin talk now, dem go talk say him too dey talk or he is too emotional/sensitive. He has been unusually quiet since he left and avoided anything, including social media, that would bring any attention to him and I hope he continues that way.
It's disgraceful. Whatever KD may have said has not warranted such a classless move.

He helped them to a dynasty and whatever you think about him they begged him to join them. To leave him out of a video tribute for this past decade is pretty classless and we would be saying this if it were any other team. It's unfortunate because they portray themselves as an embodiment of class but they are showing true colors right now

I get your sarcasm.

For a guy that won FMVP twice for 2 of their 3 championships and sacrificed his ankle in pursuit of the 4th, mhen that's petty of the franchise.
Of course you should lol

What exactly has he said? In all his interviews or interactions he had always said positive things about playing for the Warriors so this has absolutely nothing to do with KD. Baba has been very quiet and has stayed away from the limelight.
If Warriors hierarchy can treat a player of such importance like this why should I believe their story on how they managed his injury then?

Whether I agree with leaving him out of the videos or not (which I don't by the way), I will rather thoroughly research if the opinion I have about the player I am defending is correct before casting aspersions.

For one, an organization that announced that his jersey will be retired to then leaving him out of the video months after should clearly show that something went south.

I don't even need to be one of the higher-ups to know what did. I laughed when I saw a post saying KD said nothing against the Warriors. In fact, the only thing he did not say was the one he knew that if he did, they would sue him for. Every other thing he said.

Those who have ears and eyes can do their own investigation. In a few years we will revisit who helped who. Whether GSW helped KD or KD helped GSW.

You have a point. Fact is, I do not know at this point. But as per talking rubbish about GSW, KD was doing it in his interviews. At some point, even SC had to remind him that he won 2 rings and got to 3 finals with that coach and system he claimed was not working.

Remember when people swore Rockets were going to beat GSW had CP3 not gone down? Remember when KD went down and everyone predicted that GSW will lose the series?

GSW did not. It was that same system and players without KD that beat Rockets and swept Portland.

But what do I know?

The injury thing is a different issue. They never mishandled his injury as several doctor's confirmed but people choose to believe what they want to. It's not possible that they did that and then not even include him in the tribute video. KD we all know would have said something himself or with his burner account but he confirmed they did everything right with his injury. The real scum move is the Celtics in Isaiah Thomas case who no one wants to talk about because it's Isaiah Thomas and then proceeded to give him a tribute like they ever cared.

Besides it's a 3mins video. KD is bigger than that. For me, I appreciate KD and all he did in that 3yrs and I would have kept him in the video and I'm sure the Warriors would do if they had the option. It's even likely he didn't want the tribute but the media will always talk.

What exactly has KD said that is so egregious enough to warrant such pettiness from the Warriors hierarchy? What exactly?
Would he be the first player to question the tactics employed by his coach? He did it respectfully and nothing was out of bounds. For those wondering, below are excerpts of the interview where he discussed tactics, please read and tell me what he said that is so damming.

The motion offense we run in Golden State, it only works to a certain point," the Brooklyn Nets forward told J.R. Moehringer of The Wall Street Journal. "We can totally rely on our system for maybe the first two rounds.

"Then the next two rounds we're going to have to mix in individual play. We've got to throw teams off, because they're smarter in that round of playoffs.

"So now I have to dive into my bag, deep, to create stuff on my own, off the dribble, isos, pick-and-rolls, more so than let the offense create points for me."

Heck, D. Green and K. Thompson is renowned to be very outspoken and no one misses a beat! K.

KD appeared on First Take and was honest that his clash with Green left a sour taste, D. Green admitted that his stubbornness was the reason he did not apologize earlier and that he crossed the line. He never bashed Green.

So what exactly has KD said that a player of his caliber can not say that should warrant such pettiness from the hierarchy?

Now, if KD specifically asked to be kept out of the video, then that is a totally different conversation and on KD, not the Warriors.

Oh yes! Let’s deflect the conversation from the Warriors to the Celtics.. how convenient....
No one, absolutely no one can remotely claim the Isaiah Thomas issue went under the radar, or that no one talks about it because that would be total false. The Celtics took a lot of heat and are infact still dealing with the narrative. Type Isaiah Thomas on Google and results would lead to something about his injury and time at the TD Garden. So that lie is dead on arrival.

Speaking about caring for IT, I always ask, where were the rest of the NBA teams when no one was interested in taking a risk at signing him, worth more, building a roster around him? Where were the other teams? When he rotting on the bench after having an ankle injury with the Suns and at the verge of being let go, where were you guys?

I have shared my thoughts about IT multiple times on this thread and owned up on where the Celtics failed and should have done better but let’s not distract ourselves from the main issue at hand.

There is no point in continuing this exchange until we know what's actually up. There are just some people you can't convince to reason with you. They already have a presupposition. All they need to do is make sure everything falls within, no matter how twisted. Always happy to jump at any GSW bad news. I mean, "we said it didn't we, such classless organisation". Even though i honestly don't like the turn of events, especially the omission of a guy -that clearly was huge in your back to back championships- from a tribute video no matter how short, I would rather wait to hear the entire story before making a judgement. Surely, the front office will provide an explanation for this grave mistake at a point.

They did him dirty and should continue to catch heat for it as deserved. And no it wasn't as blown as KD's case. I know you personally wouldn't support what happened but using "taking a risk on him" as an excuse is unfair. They failed especially when Ainge knew he was never going to pay him. See how he got traded. Anyways, IT too was desperate. Whichever way, it's nothing close to an omission in a 3mins video. I'm just using his case as comparison when people want to blow up this KD issue as if the tribute video would have helped anyone if they did him like IT.

I needed to debunk your notion that the IT/ Celtics situation was swept under the carpet or the Celtics did not or have not continued to catch heat for the way we managed his injury and subsequent exit.

There is a reason I continue to use the Warriors organization and not its fans because of fans like you that still keep it honest and 100. I have never defended what Ainge and the Celtics did, the records are here for proof. More importantly, I did not have to wait for a response from the hierarchy to know we could have done things better and maybe that is what I expect rather than trying to defend and apportion the blame on KD. Ironically, they have not heard from the organization that made the decision but still choose to blame KD who is yet to make a comment about the issue, Isn’t that hypocritical?

Nkan ti o da o da! The only caveat to this argument would be if KD personally requested to be excluded, other than that, it is petty and cheap. Call it for what it is rather than finding ways to blame KD because of his rubbish talks during an interview.

I am still waiting for the “ talk rubbish” about the Warriors he has said since he left Oakland they are hinging on as excuse.

When I initially saw it on Instagram I went further to read comments from fans alike. I even did same on Reddit. The consensus was that it was not right. I personally did not like it. I said so.

What I actually find hypocritical is the people whose modus operandi is to cry more than the bereaved. They blamed GSW for his injury. Even when the player said otherwise. Then they criticised GSW for retiring his jersey and called it fake - claiming it was done to cover up for the injury. Now they want to also feign outrage that he was left out of a video. LOL.

The outrage is fake. Pay it no mind. GSW should not have left KD out of the video but we should find out why they did it before blowing hot air. Don't forget when they came to talk rubbish about Iggy's comments here. It was proven to be the regular cockamamie. When KD said what we said. They claimed he was being a good sport. When the execs said nobody will wear #35 what was the outrage about? That it was playing to the gallery so KD will not sue. You can't please critics and it is not a bad thing.
Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 3:41am On Jan 01, 2020
GSW's domination over the last 5 years doesn't help, even moreso, KD' s move which precludes the invincibility makes it even worse. We cannot do anything right at the moment, and our situation looks even worse now that we are far down the pecking order. Until we get back to domination, this will only continue. It can't get any better. I can't believe the expectation has fallen as far as "we are 4 games from 8th place". How the mighty have fallen. But if they don't have any explanation for this, that move is hard-core mean.

Yeah, it's clearly agreed already that it would be pretty if they intentionally left his name out. However, I want to believe KD would have been the one to say no. I didn't see him slander the Warriors too. The worst he did was say it like it was everyone's fault including his which I even would agree to. But people wanting to tie the tribute thing to misdiagnosing his injury to call the Warriors classless is pushing it
