$51.4B in 1982
$35.45B in 1983
$28.5B in 1984
$28.87B in 1985

It's no coincidence that Buhari comes from Katsina, one of the poorest regions in the world!

The chart below is for GDP growth rate from 1982 to 1987.

What does 1983 - 1985 tell you?

Watch how he would avoid it.

So you can't see he could never steer an Economy to positive growth ...the man is bad news so bad the NBS are even ashamed to release their regular Economic stats ...show us one thing Buhari has achieved Economic wise for Nigerians , poverty is still escalating , unemployment still escalating , insecurity still escalating ..keep Supporting failed govt okay

Don't pretend to be an illiterate.

We had negative growth before him but yet he moved us into positive.

Buhari is in his fifth year as president , has Nigeria rating on the world poverty clock slowed down at any point during this period ? Hell no , instead every 6 minutes and counting a new Nigerian is being thrown into abject ..if Buhari had any solution in his sleeves don't you think 5 years is enough time to see some results in some stats ...check out Donald Trump whose results are showing everywhere in US economic stats daily ...Voltron face it Buhari is an irredeemable failure who will not achieve a single thing even after 8 years

How would you not be shocked, when you are so intellectually lazy that you do not know the primary thing that drives your GDP!!!!

GDP was getting better before Buhari dethroned shagari. GDP nosedived in 1984. GDP rose again during gej despite massive corruption. buhari took over in 2015 and GDP dropped. try to compare gdp during obasanjo regime in 1979 and 1999, judge yourself. Buhari may be fighting corruption but his economy policy is retogressive.

my brother don't fall for their incessant shout of fighting corruption, they are not fighting anything any resemblance is a means to an end, either to score cheap political point, gain an advantage or fight an enemy, buhari and his party are a cesspool of corruption disguising it with propaganda
If he is sincere all the tools and institutions are already set up for him but he lacks the political will because he is integrity challenged

You mean the Trump statistics that shows that employment has been up for 5 years before he took over ?

Or do you mean the stats that suggests for every 80 good jobs in America, there are 100 bad ones?

Anyway, this issue here is about Nigeria and from the argument you PDP apologists tried to put forth, your stats suggest Buhari actually did well compared to those before him, especially in 1983-1985.

Only a dunce would not factor in the drop in the price of oil 2015 -2017.

I work in the oil industry and I know how many oil companies, oil servicing companies had to shed staff globally during that period.

Saudi Aramco was forced to sell shares to the public as a result of the global oil market collapse.

The PMI for Nigeria actually shows local productivity is improving year on year.

Purchasing Managers Index (PMI), manufacturing in Nigeria, November, 2019: For that indicator, Central Bank of Nigeria provides data for Nigeria from 2014 to 2019. The average value for Nigeria during that period was 52.37 index points with a minimum of 41.9 index points in June 2016 and a maximum of 61.1 index points in December 2018. May your life and your generation in 2020 and beyond be like the buharis tenure indexes of his time ruling Nigeria as shown in the chart. Amen

Oh quiet pls, Buhari/Idiagbon devalued the naira,
For an economy to grow, certain prerequisites has to be met, Buhari did zero.
Didn't build infrastructure, instead he cancelled major investment opportunities to Lagos for example,
5 years into his tenure and billions of dollars after, mention TWO major infrastructure initiated and completed by Buhari.
Instead we have single digits growth and almost half of foreign earnings used to service debt.

Make una continue

But the stats prove otherwise.

Now that he concentrates on infrastructure from 2015, you are still complaining.

Yourba cowards and Fulani ass lickers should answer this question

Atiku and Atiku are Fulani. How then are they Fulani a***kickers?. Did you vote Atiku? Is he Igbo or Kanuri?

The statement above is a tribute to your tribalistic line of thought and not a mirror of who the Yoruba are.

Jonathan won in all Yoruba states in the Southwest in 2011 except Osun state.

Jonathan lost in the Southwest in 2015 because of the endemic corruption that flourished under his nose.

In 2019, Buhari lost in at least 2 Yoruba states in the southwest and just narrowly won in the Southwest

Yoruba are swing voters.

You vote on tribal lines and feel Yoruba do the same. They don't. Both Buhari and Atiku are Fulani. What you are saying makes no sense.
