You don't need birth certificate to apply for study visa. It is for children within a certain age bracket... If you have downloaded that form from VFS site, you will see that the birth certificate requirement is for children not adults.

Koval12:
thanks so much for your response, I actually lost my birth certificate, so I had to go get Affidavits from court, does it mean that I can't submit the age declaration in place of my misplaced birth certificate?? What do you mean by Birth certificate is for minors??

Use the city tour bus to make your tour wonderful and safe. Just goggle city tour bus and book with them. It’s easy and cheaper.

Try and visit Pretoria as well

Visit joburg zoo
Nelson Mandela Square in Sandton

I just tweeted about the delay in issuance of study permit at the Abuja high commission, I’ll advise everyone that has a delay in Abuja to do same and call in the home affairs minister to intervene. Let’s see what happens. Fingers crossed

Hello Brother, I can see from you Bio on twitter through the link you shared here that you are now in Pretoria, SA.

I want to ask how long does it take to get your study Visa and which University are you study? What degree?

Thanks

I won't advice you to reapply tho

That issue of "fake document" have to be addressed first

What about if I try applying at Abuja ?

How can the issue of fake document be addressed ?

Nice one mate:

kaakaa:
Hello all, just to drop something positive....
so I applied for South African visit visa on the 11th of this month at the Vsf office in Port Harcourt and i picked it up on the 20th from same place with 3 months visa in it.
I have been to USA thrice, china twice, SA once.... I heard having a previous sa visa shortens subsequent visa processing time. Quess that helped...

For the first time am happy I didn’t check Nairaland first b4 applying bc I would have been discouraged to apply with the many delays n refusal here.

After reading most of this page and seeing many long processing time,I was already planning a withdrawal by January cos I need to use my passport for sth else by January and boom, I got a msg to come pick up my passport... I couldn’t believe it, I was so relieved, wasn’t even worried about not getting the visa, just knowing the result on time was sweet....

Please if you want to apply, do so without fear, every case is different!
Good luck!

..You don dey think of Migration already when you haven't even seen a quarter of Capetown.

Go to Camps Bay or Bantry Bay and experience premium quality life, e go be like say you dey America: Sea Point, Mowbray, Rondebosch, Waterfont, Table mountain.

If you are a wine lover and could spare a day to yourself visit Stellenbosch.

Cheers man!

I passed through camps bay yesterday was just shouting Jesus under my breath. The place fine die. The scenery is out of this world.

Visited the botanical garden, birds and monkey sanctuary, and one other place in Hout Bay.

I hope to visit as many places as possible before I leave. In fact, I’m spoilt for choice.

I booked a five days tour ticket, with about 70 attractions to see.

Abeg, where the blacks dey? I hardly see blacks. I see mostly whites and colored people, except when I visited one shanty part today on tour.
I’m beginning to think that the population of whites and other races in South Africa are more than the blacks

Their clubs on long street are like European clubs with whites everywhere. I’m not getting the vibes I got in Nairobi, as per clubbing.

If I had known, I would have come to Cape Town straight , instead of stopping in jo’burg for 3 days.

As per migration, Make una find me one Southy chick to marry. grin. I can take care of her.

No doubt, SA is a very beautiful country. If you want to see the black south africans.. just take the 99 trains from cape town train stations. Majority of the blacks reside in Khayelitsha.. also thats where you will find SA babe with big booty grin but be careful of your belongings coz you might get robbed.

For clubbing activities, visit cubana if you want a familiar clubbing experience but trust me it isn't close to the Nigerian experience. There are also some local clubs that offers full Nigerian vibes but you may not be able to locate them.
