Your first paragraph is a pointer to the fact that this thing started and spread everywhere. Thankfully, a Yoruba man owns this forum. I have created a thread several times to call Seun so he can put a stop to this nuisance but he wouldn't do anything about it. It's either he has an evil agenda which he wishes to accomplish or he is being paid for it...he wants to see the country burn.

Though I am not surprised because he is someone that is very rigid to the core.

We need to put pressure on Seun to put an end t this for good. That is the way I see it. By the time people get 10 years ban for constituting tribal nuisance and their IP banned, they will adjust.

But Seun does not want it. If he is not benefiting from it, he would have done something about it long ago.

Seun himself is overwhelmed by the Nairalanders coz even if you ban someone for 10years, they can open another account right away. That negates the effect of banning people.

However, the cancer ravaging nairaland also affects other online platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. But I think Nairaland is more pronounced because it is a faceless forum.

There is also hate speech on Facebook but people are a lil not cautious on those platform that can reveal their identities.

With IP ban, it will minimise it drastically.

There is an international forum where I belong.. If you create a different account using same IP, they will close it and warn you with your first account.

That will be a fantastic idea. People will be careful of what they write here when they know their IP address will be banned.

Then sanity will be restored to the forum.
