The banking index is at a very strong long-term resistance/support
There may be some slow down in the banks for a while
Other sectors may need to carry on with the bulls to take ASI to 31/32K before a rest

Pa Emma,

I agree that no one should be buying BUA at this time. However, I do not agree that he is the one selling and buying selling concurrently. Which of your brokers tell you? Rely less on the veracity of info you get from that your source.
Pa Emma wants to scatter my Brazil dey play,Nigeria dey score game.Better tell him to refrain from cement/ construction companies.

Why do I feel like you did what you did because of the things you read here..
I condemned UCAN but look here the stock is now.. BIG reason why you should always act on your own volition..

From today onwards I’ll never say anything either good or bad about any stock here.. so long as I’m not among the board of directors and don’t have first hand information on what’s going on in the company..
NSE now na try your luck..

If you want, email me let do forex.. I promise you, God with us, you’ll not regret..

I feel as far as you sold at profit, in accordance with your plan, you don't need to be bothered even if Access gets to N20 per unit. By the way, the blotted units of Transcorp in your previous post tells me you're in it in millions of units... tongue tongue tongue...Lol to over-analysis. grin

NSE is not a case of try your luck. The signs are always there but we refuse to accept them because of our emotional attachment to the stocks when their price starts climbing.

Like someone once said here, it's an emotional struggle between fear and greed. Hence, for you to out-perform the market, you need to first understand yourself and make the necessary adjustments.

Are you the type of person who attends a birthday party and stays till the very end to assist in packing chairs? Then I'm sorry, you will not make it in NSE in the long run.

Learn to exit the party when the tempo is highest and the attendees are still eating and drinking. You will not eat your fill like them, but you will not expend the one you have eaten in packing and arranging chairs for the host.

Finally, always remember that gravity exists. So when something rises, it will get to an extent that it will no longer have anywhere to rise to and the only place to face will be south. Same applies to its fall smiley

Gracias

I remember when the financial statement of UACN was released and was seen by many as disappointing, but in-depth analysis later revealed the reward therein. FCMB report was also heavily bashed here, in fact, it caused some rift and its price went south for a short while, then rose again. Bottom line, one needs to have a plan and follow it religiously.

OGG might be seen as controversial by some, but I'll always respect him and other gurus here. He never stopped to reiterate inherent benefit in UACN, FCMB, FIDELITY, UBA, ACCESS, ZENITH, FBNH, WAPCO, GTB, ETI etc. Love him or hate him, he's one of the best here!

I thought there will be a pullback since some that entered @#4.5k might want to profit take. but it proved me wrong although there was profit taking sha.

It closed @#10.25k. am looking at entering @ #10 on Monday because it has never pullbacked once it has found a new support.

So there is a high probability if you don't buy @#10, you might buy higher.
Same way I thought .. sold some ..But Will buy on monday if there is slight pullback or go ahead ..Rebalance

The price - volume analysis shows that the fair (or true) price of ACCESS is at 5.761

So the buy from 5.80 as seen in the price only analysis is pretty much in order.

Partial profit taking level still remains 7.10 - 7.15 region

NOTE: If the trading data for year 2008 is considered, the analysis will become skewed toward the twenty something naira handle at which the stock opened that year. So I completely removed the 2008 trading data before running the price - volume analysis.
My analysis for ACCESS last year.

Another trade recommendation showing my outlook for UACN

Someone on this thread insulted me just because of this counsel that I gave the poster.

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by meshpips(m): 6:00am On Jan 12, 2020
meshpips:
ACCESS BANK

Buy between 6.00 - 5.80

Hold until 8.10 - 8.15

You can take partial profit at 7.10 -7.15

NOTE: The recommendation above is based on PRICE analysis only.
I will do the price - volume analysis and post my findings later.
Analysis for ACCESS with a simple chart containing channels and horizontal support/resistance levels only.

This particular call went right into profit. There was no draw down.

This call was made at a period when everyone else was crying "bear market"

Bottom Fishing For Stocks Using Simple Maths - The Importance of A Datum (Reference Point)

In my last post, I explained how we can compute the 52-week average price using the closing price and an excel sheet. It is important to state that there are many other methods of obtaining an average price over the same 52-week period some of which are:

1. The typical price = (High + Low + Close)/3

2. The weighted close price = (High + Low+ Close + Close)/4

3. The Median price = (High + Low)/2 etc

All the above mentioned methods are ways of obtaining a measure of central tendency (remember mean, median, mode form elementary mathematics?). Now from this central value acting as a datum (reference point), we can now begin to say how CHEAP or EXPENSIVE a stock is. Remember, it is all done with reference to a datum.

A "tall" man in China just might not appear to be so tall if he stands amidst a team of professional basketball players in America. So the question then arises: "how tall is tall?" Is there a minimum requisite height to be attained before one can be called "tall"? If a 5 feet 4 inch 'tall' man stands next to a 4 feet 3 inch tall midget, the 5 feet 4 inched person is undeniably "taller" than the midget or would we have put it in a more appropriate context by saying the midget is "shorter" than the man. Because in my honest opinion, 5 feet 4 inches doesn't qualify to be referred to as "tall".

Same way, in the markets, the terms "overbought" or "oversold" can only be used with reference to a particular look-back period. For instance, I can say that stock XYZ is underpriced for the next 14 weeks . Yet this same stock might be over-priced for the current day.

I'm trying to make us see the importance of a datum or reference point when doing our math-work for a stock.

I will pause at this point and wait for feedback. I need to be sure that a few on this thread are finding the information useful and would love me to continue. I don't want to get myself into a monologue that is in actual fact irritating to members of the thread. So I will guage the "acceptance" of what I am sharing by the feedback (quality and quantity) I get before knowing whether to continue or just keep quiet.

The ball is in your court now!
Here I tried sharing a bit of useful education which would be beneficial to investors that want to pick from the bottom.

. . .

There is a stock that has done 2 consecutive bullish months and has exceeded its volume high for the past ten years. This same stock has taken out the previous 2019 high. Isn't that information people could make a lot of money from?

Instead una carry dey tell me say I nor sabi.

Anyways, I'm not the way many of you see me.
At this point, I noticed WAPCO. The words in bold are in reference to WAPCO.

People here were still too busy with name calling.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by meshpips(m): 6:20am On Jan 12, 2020
meshpips:
WAPCO

volume done so far this year is the highest seen since year 2008

We have so far seen two months close bullish (June and July)

meaning price closed HIGHER than it opened for these months

The HIGH for year 2019 has been breached to the UPSIDE

This therefore is positive proof that we are about starting a new impulsive wave (movement) to the upside

Last two weeks closed with a bearish body, somewhat marking the end of this prime bullish segment

Outlook:

I expect a retrace to at least 12.30 or slightly lower
current price is 14.00

Recommendation: BUY between 12.30 -10.70 region and hold until 54.95
Trade recommendation for WAPCO

Those posts were recalled to show that I actually came on here to offer value to everyone.

I always say that time tells the whole story.

A great many things we all could have done together.

Well, the past year is gone and a new one has come.

Let's be a bit more accommodating to new people on this thread.

Happy Sunday everyone!
