Humility017:Which Edo? Be careful of women from there. Marrying from there is like buying ‘bend down delect’. If you are not careful, you will get an Italian returnee of many battles, or a deported old girl from Germany and other parts of Europe. They are very promiscuous and will disappear with your baby/babies at the slightest domestic issue or run away with another man. The seemingly naive ones who haven’t crossed the Mediterranean Sea would deceive you and elope with an Indian or Lebanese who would abuse and dump them later. Avoid Edo women. |

Sirseedorf:Don't try what the op said he did, its not advisable, its only good for reading and entertainment not to be practiced. They were lucky to have escaped poverty as a result of their irrational decision. Marriage is not a do or die affair, if you can't afford it, stay single Keep working, praying and improving on your finance, don't be in a rush, focus on improving your current financial earnings pls, don't marry with that salary, it has landed so many Nigerians into generational poverty, and reason we have so many poor Nigerians today. What if they didn't get a job ![]() Having a masters degree today is no longer a guarantee that you will get a better job. He and his wife were lucky they reside in the north where there are jobs for graduates ready to work. Any youth ready to risk the insecurity in the north should go to the north, there are plenty jobs and you don't need to marry to get those jobs, all you need is qualification and readiness to risk the insecurity there, that's why most people relocate to north, they have so many NGO jobs waiting there |

Sanchez01:In the South West, the brides family is responsible for hosting the guests. In modern times, the grooms family often supports the Brides parents especially if they both expect large numbers of people. |

Sirseedorf:do you have a degree? Even if no? Are you aspiring? Do you have dreams? Are you willing to pursue the dream regardless? Then find a lady who is also working and receiving something no matter how small to support and plan your lives together. Life isn't hard. Make it easy on yourself. |

defashan:In as much as you sound harsh, you made very valid point. Edo guys alone should marry Edo ladies, only Edo guys can deal with Edo ladies because they understand them better. Any guy from other tribe getting married to an Edo lady is playing with fire! |

elektra:wow... Impressed. Not sure I know any lady who shares your opinion, at least as an original thought. The ones I know always want to follow the crowd. If it's not others deciding how they wed, it's when they wed. Can be freaking tiring when you are the guy (and value your sanity over the satisfaction of random guests there for the entertainment). |

Personally I don't like flamboyant weddings but you see my sweet mama? She'll have none of it, lol and I'll do whatever will make her happy. Wedding is a one day stuff but with a memory that'll last a lifetime, Whichever way you do it now that seems to be trendy will be so obsolete when you're discussing to your grandchildren tomorrow so just do what makes you and those around you happy and also within your means. |

SecretSpy666:I know 2 couples who towed your path. One couple is yet to have a child. They quarrel and fight. The man cheats like hell. The second couple are currently living separately with two kids. Dude lost his smalljob and is currently managing another small one after 2/3 years of walking the streets. Next time you want to give this advice, say it like it is and tell them the advice is for those who have job connections with brain nuts tightly screwed. That you were lucky doesn't mean it would work for others. To each his own. Regarding your testimony, that was low. That's why I always pray i never beg a negroe for money. I don't like weddings and will never attend one like yours. Even your wife knows that's why she wants a church wedding. Her request has defeated the whole purpose of your epistle. |
