This MI 9T bro. No offense. But the more I read your scenario. The more I think you're underselling the "little" water drop. I have been using phones since 2006. I have dropped phones inside water a fair few times and I have been lucky not to have dropped any of my androids inside any form of liquid as I strive to avoid it.

You cannot blame the company or the seller for a fault of yours made willfully. It's immoral. It is an accident nonetheless, but it absolutely doesn't absolve you of blame in this matter. My two piece is that you take responsibility, either replace the entire display and touch or sell it at a loss and be more careful with your next device sir.

I know a fair few people who use MI 9T and there has been zero complaint. Zero. So should they throw their devices away? So should people who have had their devices for years toss them out?

Sir, we're men and are supposed to reason rationally and logical and not with our sentiments or emotions. I wish you all the best in your dispute. Happy Sunday.

how much is this note7 pro?

Kinda looking at getting either Redmi Note8T and Redmi Note 8. Is there any reasonable difference between Note 8 and Note8T?

I would have gone for that Redmi Note 8 pro but i don't have the energy for mtk wahala and heating

Redmi Note 8 or Mi A3
At d moment am using mi A2 lite, having stock Android.
I almost ordered Mi A3 (with stock Android too) as an upgrade, but changed my mind. I needed to have a feel of MIUI, so, I went for redmi note 7 pro.
So, ur case is a matter of what u want.

I use note 8 pro.,. I can confidently tell you it's a top notch mtk chipset device.... I don't have issues with over heating whatsoever.... My previous phone was note 7.

Sorry for this experience of yours. I'm happy this isn't your first Xiaomi device and this will prolly be your 1st experience of a probable factory defective device.

I believe why people are not that supportive on this case is the history of the incident and your choice of words like blaming it on the manufacturer. The thing is, you can't absorb yourself of the blame here! A splashed water can hit anywhere on the phone and it is different from a drop/touch of water!

With the ghost touch you're experiencing now, I'm convinced the whole ish is coming from the splashed water not a factory defect. I might be wrong though and you should see to the end of the dispute. I'm not sure AliExpress will wait till item is received before refunding you; worst case is partial refund if they buy your claim.

One thing is certain, if you made mention of the splashed water scenario while given them history of issue, your dispute won't see the light of the day!

As per seeing people here as always having contrary opinion to complaints regarding Xiaomi devices, it depends on how the complaints were tabled, choice of words used, individual interpretation and the likes. But you know your notion of them being always defensive is not true (at least on this).

I wish you all the best. Either realme or Redmi or Sammy, a device not tagged as water/splash resistant should not be taken close to water/liquids. This is where I think you erred, but that's strictly my opinion and don't take it personally.
Thanks bro, this world would be better if there were more humans like you. I've just accepted that's it my fault that's why I'm ending the dispute and using the device like that. Hopefully my next device will be a flagship device. Thanks bro

Exactly! Zero evidence, zero logic and yet he expects to be taken seriously. I have not seen it anywhere that a few drops of water splashing on a phone's surface will ruin it. It's possible that it somehow got in through the speakers, the jack or other orifices. The other camel made a fool of himself too, I'm glad the way the new mi 9t owner replied him so I held my peace. Let him wallow in penury and abject poverty of both his mind and pocket. A10 my foot. The Redmi Go I bought for my mom outstrips the A10 by faaaaaaar.

Well said Oga jboixxx, if he had mentioned water coming in contact with the phone, the dispute would have been thrown out. If a phone is not officially IP rated, don't blame the manufacturer if you fail to need to the warning.

Well said too.
