I'm just curious to know.
I would like to be more enlightened on this.

If my brother, I meant my own blood brother becomes an American citizen, I as a Nigerian, what do I stand to gain from it?

Will it increase my chances of traveling to America, will I have better chances to gain from institutions there, or and what other benefits do I stand to gain.

Even if you were given birth to by the same parent(mother and father) , it doesn't necessarily mean you'd find yourself in the USA because your brother is there . He may not have the 'willingness' to assist you and somebody else's (not related by blood or marriage) may be more than willing to assist. The latter is whom God has designed to assist you in life rather than the person you had earlier hoped will do it and confident about

Me that my mother is a citizen since 5 years ago now I'm still here in Nigeria despite all efforts to migrate me..

But OP your chances of traveling to america one day is high since your brother is a citizen over there.

You are even a lucky. You knew there are efforts to assist you get over there ,just hasn't pull through yet. There are some people(same mother same father oOo) that will only be posting you and telling you to stay over and that just remain hopeful and actually ,the person isn't doing anything about it.

but in reality theres nothing a sibling can do, Parents still have some right or lee way in 'assisting' but two grown up individuals nothing in the law can nudge the decision process.

Op, normally it should increase your chances of travelling and enjoying other benefits associated with someone having such a person over there BUT individual differences is a major factor irrespective of being related by blood.
