You just have to leave that guy in his ignorance. The same way he has been arguing with me blindly telling me Nigeria is the best country in the world, Everyone is making it there, he makes a deal of N3m in one minute, he travel to Dubai and other countries of the world. He just believe in argument and will never see any reason with you. Let him remain in his foolishness

If you never made it in Nigeria doesn't mean that others aren't...don't use your misfortune to categorise others ..folks are balling also...just like in Europe....a lot of Nigerians are suffering living on social welfare

we just hired an Indian .....I personally interviewed him...he has been looking for a job like forever...the hutsle is real

So an Indian comes to Nigeria with a visiting visa
Probably an illegal

And you hired him cheesy

Most of these guys come in either with sponsored visas by the company here
Or using business visa.

So this Indian must really be an outlier

This is a lazy guy that wasted his life away, it ain't worth it, how much life does he have left?

How does he sleeping in a bus at night translate to laziness? What is the connection between the two?

Can you marry a man that sleeps in a public bus?

That does not answer the question. How does his sleeping in a bus translate to laziness? That people encounter misfortune does not mean they are lazy. Let's try and have some empathy.

Did you say £100k.yoi mean £100k per month or per anum.if it's per anum,we are talking about 8000 pounds per month .how many Nigerians abroad fall into that category pls be honest with yourself.bring 10 Nigerians living abroad and let them tell you what they earn without lying.when you get one out of that 10,taxes will take 50%.the more you earn, the more tax you pay.then you have to pay for rent monthly and other things.my dear, everything is regulated abroad, the people with children in Oxford or Cambridge will not tell you that the children are on scholarship or they are paying thru some bank loans which is paid over some period of time.I don't think you know that the government monitor everything you do in europe, any illegal earning outside your normal earning is problem for you.evading tax is a crime .it's possible for you to see people earning £100k per year .how many are they and how long have they worked to earn such .there are some Nigerians who collect bank loan abroad and divert it to housing project in nigeria.this people wil never tell you they got it thru loan or several years of saving or a combination of husband and wife building.my dear ,not everything eye see ,man go talk .you can come over and see if you can earn £100k

Your story is one sided. Yes not everyone make it abroad, how about telling us about those who made it. Those Nigerian living in houses valued at more than £1m, those doing job and earning over £100k, those with children in Oxford or Cambridge Uni. Yet these are many as well in UK, US , Canada. Those ones wont make any noise but living a quiet life

He did it and it paid off. Maybe he "wasted 21 yrs" for his kids to have a bright future.

Kids? Lol. He should even forget about having kids. What kind of bright future can he possibly give them now?

in Nigeria tribalism, LAGOS and onitsha madness. No where is a bed of roses but London is trillion times compared to Nigeria. Can someone survive in Nigeria for 21 yrs sleeping in a public transport? As a homeless fellow he still goes to the library to read books, do we have libraries in Nigeria? Now if he marry and get kids(British Citizens) the kids will enjoy that his "wasted 21 Yr". Is that not why we hustle? For our kids to have some sort of comfort.

And do what? To come and face harsher one here now we have Buhari as a president.
Presently, sleeping in Buses in UK is far better than sleeping in a mansion in Banana island, Lagos.
Serene environment, security fully at alert, good paying jobs to sustain, no stray bullets from untrained policemen, but in Banana island, flood fit come your bedroom come carry you enter sea.

You most likely have never been out of nigeria. Or to banana island. The average networth of African Americans is $7. Let that sink in. The reasons Nigerians fare well abroad is because we are insulted against a lot of issues due to our community and culture. I don't know what you are going through but your mindset is hella warped. Any nigerian that has attained true degree of global wealth live in naija. All the looters why do they not move? The billionaires why do they stay behind? You have freedoms you dont recognize in naija until you leave. Nigeria is broken and wasn't our idea no doubt. It needs fixing. But your own thought process pass me. Na youe kind go say anything to gain ayslum come de travel back go the country wey you claim them wan kill you in. I hope things get better for you. No one should think what you think. It is the same way Americans will tell you slavery was better than the lives those Africans had in their homeland. Yet when people fought to return they were stopped. Like Dredd Scott. I hope you get the opportunity to travel far and wide one day. And then have enough money to be comfortable anywhere you choose to live in life

Not at all. The kids here are trained by the govt. Your responsibility as a parent is limited. You don't have to pay school fees, So any British kid has a bright future by default. That does not mean they don't go astray.

The society is programmed to help every citizen. What you struggle to get in Nigeria they get at a snap of a finger. I can give example if you wish.

A lot of people still struggle in UK and USA to make ends meet, not to talk of an immigrant at 55, no need to give example. What kind of job can he possibly get now to have enough income with a saving to go with it? Let's start from there.

Not going to dispute this, they have a robust system in place for such. But for the man, his capacity to earn a decent income for decent living has reduced drastically. What skill does he possess?

Wow. South Africa's budget $130b, Nigeria's $29b. And some clowns like to pretend that Nigeria is a rich country. Nigeria is potentially rich. We need to unlock that potential by restructuring Nigeria. Nigerians made a big mistake by giving Buhari a second term. Terrible mistake.

Nigerians didn’t give him second term, he forcefully reinstate himself. This was done through election malpractices.
