Keke Business. Advice Please by Selfkontrol: 10:09pm On Jan 14, 2020
Evening all, I intend buying a keke for a trustworthy person I know. I know there are lots of experienced folks here. I need advice from experienced folks that are into the business and type of keke to buy.

My budget is 200-300k for a fairly used keke. Thanks

Buying fairly used KEKE for another person is not a good idea, but if you like to consider the following:
1) The riders experience in the business
2) The location
3) The type of the KEKE
4) spare parts availability.
Also have it at the back of your mind that all business is a risk .

Forget this business except you will be the rider.

To make matters worst u want to do it with used keke

It will end in regrets, talking from experience
Re: Keke Business. Advice Please by jpride(m): 7:29am On Jan 16, 2020
Hmmmmm u want to buy used keke?
Don't even try it. You will lose your capital. That keke cannot give you that 200k. If you have money, buy new one. Otherwise, don't try it.
Before u but the new one, inquire from keke riders in your area to know if it's worth it. Keke tricycle has become too many in some towns that making money from it is now a no go area

My friend don't even try it. I'm a living witness too. This particular guy that I know very well approached me to buy napep for him, we saw one in a very good condition I paid for it and did everything necessary to making it join the tarmac. We initially agreed on a hire purchase, that week and subsequent weeks he turned up well. After a month of riding it he started complaining of faults from the napep every day. My brother to cut the long story short the napep have been parked since last year February and all attempt to sell it no work. That was how #300,000k vanished. I'm even contemplating oh how to sell it as scrap. Once it not a New one just forget about it .

I invested heavily in this business, I am not talking about second hand keke but brand new ones. Some were able to finish theirs successful but majority never did, even one did not get up to #150k and he destroyed both the inside and outside of the keke (something I bought for #650k). If you want to go into it, just know you are not going into a business rather poverty alleviation program.

U bought for 650k, how much do u put it for hire purchase or do u just give d person keke to be doing account for u.

The better way to do dis keke business buy a new keke and register it by yourself 670k for everything depending on d type of keke because they have d one of 800k then u may give it on purchase for 1.2m for the one of 600k nd d one of 800k goes for 1.6m, then u nd d rider will sign an agreement with ur lawyer then d rider will have someone who will also sign on behalf of him. Then in d agreement u guys will agree on d payment weekly or monthly and duration of him completing the money maybe 1 year or 8 months depending then if he didn't complete d money after d duration or not doing as agreed u can arrest him nd him will pay for damages that's why is very important to have a writen and signed agreement documented and a lawyer to make it official...

This business is helping nd empowering youths who really have future nd want to work because some won't have money to buy keke but u help buy nd give them nd tell them to pay some amount 20k or 22k depending on weekly basis to certain period of time, u are helping him because some areas like Onitsha, Enugu, Awka, and some cities i know keke people make at least 5k a day, if d person work and if he work very smart his going home with nothing less than 10k per day or more. If he compete d money d keke become his own so he will handle it with care

Easier said. In my area, I have become customer to almost all the police station around. I have arrested soteyyyyy the police are now making a living through my mobilization money. I don't just have a barrister, I even have military and guys that back me up in this business but what can you do when you arrest someone who will swear to heavens that he doesn't have 1 naira home and abroad and will choose to sleep in the police ceil for as long as you want to hold him. Mind you, after 3 days the police will release him. Even the military man I was working with later bought one keke and with all his military mights, the business was messed up for him. He couldn't even recover his capital. When these riders are coming for the keke, they will beg heaven and earth, use all sorts of sweet words but let the business start, you will suddenly become an evil man. Meanwhile I saw something like #1.6 million for hire purchase grin grin grin grin my brother whoever makes up to #1 million for you is a sincere rider. grin grin grin grin #1.6m indeed.

If he did not meet up, u will arrest him? Look at how inhuman u are. Have u rode Keke on hp before? Have u taken time to ask those riders the challenges they come across? How sure are u they make up to 10k?
Sometimes even the law gives room for consideration. Ask a Keke rider.....they all find it difficult to meet up.....
Keke business is entirely messed up because in all the cities I've visited, it seem like the number of Keke outnumbered the passengers....
Do u think there aren't riders that entered d agreement with good intention? Or do u think there's none that want to gain full ownership?
