True, since it was Hausa/Fulani who dominated the recent list of fraudsters released by the FBI.

If this is the extent of your intelligence then I feel sorry for you.

If you think the government would ban Nigeria because of fraudsters you aren't that bright.

It's specifically because of fulani and muslim terrorists.

Truly breaking news. This will affect large numbers of ppl. sad

"Nigeria, for example, Africa's largest economy and most populous country, is a U.S. anti-terrorism partner and has a large diaspora residing in the United States."

Donald Trump is planning to add Nigeria and six other countries to his travel ban - which could extend to more non-Muslim-majority nations

I am no fan of buhari in anyway but inclusion of Nigeria in the travel ban list is nothing but racism!

I will never understand why Nigerians support trump, a known and verified racist. It's even more ridiculous when you realize that Saudi arabia, the proven number sponsor of wahabism and terrorism in the world do not have their citizens put on a travel ban list. Rather Saudi military personnels are trained in the US and their government supplied with weapons and logistics to commit genocide in Yemen. BUT Nigerian immigrants who make a huge bulk of highly successful integrated list in the US and who have been actual victims of terror get put on a list?!! Absolute madness!

Any nigerian that celebrates this as some good news because of your hate of the government should have their heads checked. If you think this travel ban will only affect northerners, think again!

And sincerely, if you are black and you are a trump fan-boy, you are a dunce!

It will be a total failure on the part of PMB if Nigeria indeed enters that ban list.

It will totally rubbish the continual message of this administration that, they have the BH and security situation in the country under control. Though millions of Nigeria home and abroad know this to be false, but placing Nigeria on the travel ban list based on security reasons will be the proverbial 'breeze plow fahwo yansh open'.

Lets keep our fingers crossed, words on the street have it that, the list is not yet final and their are last minute efforts to remove one or two countries from that list. I see the political argument why the Trump Administration will consider removing Nigeria from that list, being that it is the largest black population country on earth, it will further cement the belief that he is racist.

But, Nigeria Government no try at all at all....I guess, we will all know on January 27!

This will affect me personally as a relative I sponsored on Green Card will be having their interview in about a week's time....and two are in various processing stage with the NVC.

Was it not a Nigerian that was threatening Trump on Trump’s tweeter saying Nigeria a giant of Africa would deal with Trump if Trump try’s with Nigeria the way Trump was dealing with Iran. Of course, Trump saw the tweet.

I’m not surprised about the ban. Just unfortunate

Again you guys have forgotten about the statement Trump issue on tweeter in response to some northern Nigeria Muslims protesting because of the killing of Suleiman. He is aware of the support the Iranian general had in Nigeria. I would not be surprised if Trump or his informant even visited nairaland and saw how Nigerian Muslims were bashing him over Iran.

US has a very good visa screening system that can be used to separate North Nigeria from South Nigeria.

Each country has a visa quota.

They used it successfully in Iraq. Kurds were preferred and approved in higher numbers and with less stringents than say Sunni or Shia. The last two were seen as hostile to US interests. Kurds ended up using most of Iraq quota.

They should not punish all of Nigeria.
Terrorism and Jihadi is hostile to American value system.

They needed an ally in the south in order to take over their 'birthright' from GEJ the 'usurper'! They found that southern ally mainly in the Yoruba...and now they're zeroing in on the Igbo for 2023! The major problem i see are greedy and self-centred southern elite that are prepared to throw their people under the bus to ingratiate themselves with the Fulani Oligarchs....all just to play second fiddle or for a few crumbs from the 'masters' table!

Mister man I am Niger Deltan confirm. GEJ is an inept politician. He lost the election because he lost control of his government. Don't blame Yorubas. And lets be honest, Buhari has done more in terms of infrastructure for the SE than GEJ has ever done. My main issue with Buhari is that he is not addressing adequately the herdsmen problem (GEJ was also useless in this area). Buhari has been far more effective than Jonathan. Buhari vs Atiku was a fight between two Fulanis. Either way you will be supporting a Fulani. Things are not white and black as some of you like to claim on NL.

As for Trump. If you really think his relationship with Nigeria would be different if GEJ was president then you REALLY do not know Donald John Trump. You have alot to learn.

After travel ban then will follow economic sanctions.
Nigeria must get sense by force.seems the united States is on a mission to destabilize the Buhari administration. I see a lot happening between now and the end the next three years of Buhari régime.
They many eventually be a civil disobedience that may lead to the major shift in the structure of this country.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Trump administration is planning to add seven countries - Belarus, Eritrea, Kyrgyzstan, Myanmar, Nigeria, Sudan and Tanzania - to its controversial travel ban list, according to media reports on Tuesday.

Some countries will face bans only on some visa categories, the Wall Street Journal reported. The list of countries was not final and could yet be changed, according to the website Politico.

U.S. President Donald Trump said in an interview with the Wall Street Journal that he was considering adding countries to the travel ban, but declined to state which ones. Politico said an announcement was expected as early as Monday.

This is unfortunate if true. It will put a strain on US - Nigeria ties and ultimately hurt our investment opportunities. It is clearly a result of failure to deal properly with the Boko Haram menace and rising cases of human rights abuses.

The administration should prioritise engaging lobbyists to fight this because youths seeking education and genuine businesses would be affected.

There is no cause for alarm over this looming travel ban that will exclude Nigerians both rich and poor, from reaching the shores of the USA in the future. Donald Trump is merely hoping to revive the Nigeria's tourism industry, by encouraging Nigerians to take vacations WITHIN Nigeria or Africa, rather than by visiting the USA. For this initiative, Big Don must be celebrated and appreciated.

If you are accustomed to the clean streets of the USA, then simply get out of your car, and hand-pick as much trash and litter as you can find, in order to transform at least your own residential street into a microcosm of America.

If your children had in the past enjoyed visiting Disneyland in California, or Disney World in Florida, then as an alternative, take your family to Benue state's farmland, in Nigeria's agricultural middle belt, where the entire family can spectate as hordes of cattle-herding terrorists do battle with desperate farmers trying to protect their crops. Your entire family will jump for joy, and clap with excitement as live gunfire is exchanged between the terrorists and their intended victims.

Perhaps it is the beaches of Florida and California that happen to be your favored American holiday destination, because you can enjoy the ocean breezes and sound of the crashing waves, while taking in the wonderful sights of young fit women wearing next to nothing in the Summer. Not to worry, because being BANNED for life from visiting the USA, is a good reason to look inward , and thereby visit NIGERIAN beaches instead, where your family can spend glorious days photographing the fresh sausage-rolls of solid human waste that washed up on the golden sands while you swim.

Perhaps it is the freezing cold and snow of winter that attracts you to America. Well, now that such visits are consigned to the dustbin of history, a ready local substitute would be for you to visit the freezer room operated in Mushin, Lagos, by Iya Modina Eleja, where you can relax in the cold room, while recordings of snowball fights and Xmas music, can be fed into your rented headphones, to create astounding sense of realism that will encourage you to forget all about those travel plans for a costly snow-ski vacation in Aspen, Colorado, and instead, look inward for your holiday plans.

The list goes on, but you get the idea. Being forbidden from ever visiting the USA should not be regarded by Nigerians as bad news, since this newly implemented travel ban is in fact a clarion call for Nigerians to better appreciate their own nation, and other exciting African tourism destinations too many to mention.
