I think there is a new requirement that unaudited results have to be filed with NSE, What I am not certain about is if it was necessary to publish it on their website. Why are the banks exempted from this? For those that play the international market, how is it done?
CashDiMkpa:
Why are they releasing an "Un-audited Financial Statement" to the market? Dem no get auditors?

Oh Unilever, how are the mighty fallen.
How the strength of youth is dew,
Thy friends watch thee like a leper,
Thy days of glory knocked across the border,
The thousands you fed now curse thee.
Tarry no longer, humble thyself,
Drop thy high heels, remove thy make-up,
Visit UACN and thy glory might be restored.
The market appreciates the humble.
Thy time of affliction has come.... grin

There is no systematic problem with Champion breweries as a company. The brewery industry is going through a particularly tough time now and as such one needs to be cautious when investing in brewery stocks. The challenges facing the industry may not abate anytime soon and it is the effect you are seeing in Champion brewery. Most brewery stocks (Nigerian Brewery, Guinness, International Breweries) have witnessed steep drop in prices, ditto Champion breweries.

The only issue with its stock is that it does not meet the free float requirement as ownership (Raysun/NB - 60%+, AMCON - 12%+ and AKSG - 17%+) is concentrated with only 10% in the hands of retail investors.

Do you even know that Unilever does not pay tax? I was there last December with my colleagues to verify it's tax portfolio. For your information, this multinational is totally exempted from tax bu the present Government. Unbelievable!!
They are on tax holiday yet they are making losses what will happen they start paying tax?
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by rebekah2011(m): 11:07am On Jan 24, 2020
It is not correct to say Unilever does not pay tax. They pay taxes.

According to the post listing requirements
Un-audited within 60 days OR
Audited within 90 days
This might mean that the audited result will take longer than 90 days

* Board meets to decide and deliberate on the FYE (financial year end) results. FYE is a cycle of one year.
* Decide on the dividend payment for the year end. How much to pay as dividend per share.
* AOB ......any other business.

After the meeting:
* Board decision is announced.
* Qualification date is announced
* Dividend Payment date announced

That's what I know. smiley

For banks, the results will be sent to CBN for approval before public announcement.

In the case of banks as I understand it - if the board agrees with the result, then they are sent to CBN for approval. If CBN approves, then it is sent to NSE. If NSE approves, then those corporate actions follow.
