Re-read your first statement and see how confused you are.

Am not confused, u said whatever one study here in Germany there’s always a job for that person...and I disagree with that

Forget the wishful thinking or all nahh Gold mentality

No one want to come and study after the stress then find it hard to get a job cuz the rate of job offers re too low. It’s more or less that there no job opportunities for that person cuz that’s why the person left Nigeria in the first place, they re job there but u send applications for more than a year and still get nothing.

So why would anyone in their right mind want to pass through that again in Germany.

That’s my point

By someone's logic... "If you study in Germany you can only work in Germany" ... Damn... Even studying abroad has not changed some people's mentality.
There are numerous opportunities all around the world. Be good at what you do.

You guys should ignore that pessimist Know what you want to do with your life and plan accordingly.

Good! I just wanted you to correct the notion directly or indirectly that other fields shouldn't bother applying or coming to Germany, which you just did.

I agree with you, you might get job easier in these fields compared to others but you still need to be good at what you do, like very good! Cause the competition in these fields aint joke
princejck:

There always competition in every field and but you can’t compare engineering or IT to other field cuz u get job offer faster the only problem is if they will pay u well

May God help us to achieve our aims. This tread has witnessed lots of argument and even confrontations this month. And I know it was because of the delay in AD. I decree that God in his mercy will use AD to put an end to all these needless argument and confrontations, so that our story, experience, information, clarifications, requests, responses and ideas will henceforth change positively towards actualization of our goals and objective of this tread in Jesus name.

AD will start raining upon us, AM will begin to fall on us and Vissum find its level to our place as from now by the special grace of God. Let's keep hope alive as we are preparing to move to Dutch Land.....

Is it possible for one's family member who is a legal resident in germany to help me apply and gain admission from there? That is if I send all the relevant certified docs to the person.
kryptonite44:

Which of the documents are you using to apply for the bsc?
If its just waec alone, it can't get you admission in Germany. So that you don't waste money for nothing

Good evening family!!
I am so happy to be on this group,
pls I have a question and I need urgent answers
I have a family friend who is helping me process my admission(B.SC) in Germany, sometime September last year I sent him my WAEC result now just last week he asked me to go to ministry of foreign affairs and ministry of education to Attest my result and still send to him..
pls my question is does it mean he has not been doing anything since then?
or is this also part of the process??
if he is successful in helping u gain admission, I think you would still have to pass through the difficult process of getting AD here in Nigeria. Getting admission is quite easier, getting AD is the problem

Hello house, does application deadline mean deadline to apply for the course or to resume after embassy interview?
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by IceColdVeins(m): 12:38pm On Jan 29, 2020
I don't know why and how you have the time to be arguing with these people...Let them keep basking in their delussion
My friend got in during 2018 winter for Masters in Tropical forestry, Dresden.....He is now in Soest running a fresh B Sc. Business management and informatics......He didn't even complete 2 semesters in Dresden. When I asked him why, he said many things not different from all you've written above. You have spoken well, so will you retire from arguments already?

Hello house, please how or from whom should letter of recommendation come from??
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by Fabcol(m): 1:49pm On Jan 29, 2020
I can bet with you the major reason your friend left Dresden is because of "students job" opportunities. Dresden is quite dry and he's definitely among the people that entered Germany with any admission not minding if they have interest in the course or not.. I also know someone that studied international Agriculture management living the life here, he works with CLAAS group. It didn't work out for your friend doesn't mean there are no opportunities there. SOEST isn't far from me, I know a graduate of that same course doing a second masters because he couldn't secure a job.
Like what's your point exactly, people that are in other field and have the passion to continue shouldnt come to study in Germany or should end up studying what they don't have passion for?, Who said you must even work in Germany and not other countries?...

Okay. Mr Omniknowest, so you even know why my friend left Dresden. grin
For your info....he had student jobs in Dresden that are not so different from the one he gets in Soest now. I already said his reasons are tantamount to what that guy has been saying. You are the one not getting princejck 's point, he only implied that if your purpose in Germany is to pursue a career, there are far more opportunities in some certain fields than others, since you are not ready to face the reality...Bro kindly look away

We re talking of job opportunities for blacks, which means the rate at which people that look like u and I get employed...there always one black person in some high position.

Let me make it easier for u how many times have u visited any company here in Germany and u see black receptionist ...they re there but not common

But go to Logistics companies, old age homes, hospitals, Amt u will find a lot of blacks working there

So don’t tell me anything u do there’s a stream of job waiting for u

Don't mind these people, they love listening to lies.

What you are saying is the reality but they won't listen. Being black limit your job opportunities, it's sad but that's the truth.

It doesn't matter if you are intelligent or speak perfect German. Most companies won't employ you simply because you have a foreign name, forget about this diversity most companies talk about.

Kindly study a lucrative course or you will have yourself to blame. Someone mentioned getting PhD as if that's the koko, I know Nigerians who are doing their PhD, no big deal.

The real deal is getting a job in that field afterwards, that's when reality hits you!!.

I would have love to write more on this but it's not my story to tell.

Imagine a German couldn't get a job because of his Spanish name lol. Once he used only his German name to apply for a job, boom he started get offers. So, imagine you with an African name wink. Let's not deceive ourselves please, if your course is not lucrative in Germany, don't waste your time coming to Germany except you have a plan b.

They will tell you to learn German, after learning the German they will say it's because of your name lol.

Remember you have 18 months to get a job after studying. And some cities don't issue residence permit if you get a job in a field completely different from what you studied!!. Bear that in mind!.

Please if you are told it's not lucrative, seat back home and not pursue your dreams ok! smiley
Nobody will tell you about that friend that got a job studying a non STEM course, it's always about that friend that got rejected because her/his hair is short.

I'm studying a non STEM course and the OGs that graduated from my program, a good number of them are doing well. Get yourself properly equiped and you are good to go, if Germany doesn't work for you, your degree is very much valuable in other countries. Don't let anyone tell you to stay back just because one of there friends wasn't successful.

Won't you want to thank princejck, he has made some good points as well. Studying good courses in Germany and with lang and some skills lands u job faster than some "kind" of programs coupled with your good lang skills might still be difficult to get job after studies. Some job opportunities are somewhat reserved for German graduates( unofficial but that's the reality). I hope we choose wisely and make best use of our time.

While some have made important points I'll also say never I repeat never make permanent pronouncement on the state of things;because no one knows it all. Any programme you have a passion (sciences, social sciences etc) follow through, excel, gain necessary competence and adapt to the needs of the environment. Don't let anyone tell you a programme has more benefits than others. Dont let that fire in you be extinguished. Try your luck because there are no losers in this hustle, we only learn.
