What if FPI's decides to start buying tomorrow? Stocks will just fire up.

Bottom line, none of us here and Nigeria as a whole is in control of our stock market. We are at the mercy of these foreign big shots.

I have always known that FPI's play important role and twice they have proven to me that they are more than important.

I got very bad signals after JB released their results and an entity kept selling, sold over 11m units. Similar thing happened last year and also in 1973. I quickly closed shop. Traders could have read meaning into that activity and quickly take a decision across other stocks.

In summary, FPI's will dictate how the market will flow going forward, we are all gamblers and noise makers here.

My advice to any newbie wey no too get money ( e.g. u get less than 1 milli in NSE) be say get out of any stock you're in today. When PFI or asset managers decide to exit a stock, there's nothing u can do, the price will continue to drop. Don't average down, u lose more that way. If you've lost 25%, cash out and move on. If u don't, and the market keeps falling, you'll lose more than 25% in 1 week. Wait until people here start to say the market is on the move, then jump on the elevator that is going up. Start to learn stock market charts and how to interpret balance sheet. Know monikers on this thread to follow, they give hints subtly. Charts are very important. Pay attention to what the chartists here say. But when the market is going down, please get out, you're NOT a Nigerian politician. Forget all that resistance or support level for now.

Seriously, sir? I guess the best advice is for newbies like me to set their objectives and follow their plan. All chartists, except one, here saw uptrend throughout the month. So ayam not understanding sir. grin grin grin

U've not been paying attention to details. Ifà first predicted a downtrend. A few days ago, Agba started saying "wait o, e be like say I dey see something like a downtrend", then he was no longer commenting like b4, that #20 for UACN is for quarter 2. Fxuser came begin dey mention say u fit they see pullbacks. Yok come dey talk no worry, dem never breach 28000 angry. Now couple this with the ASI which started to weaken. Finally Morgan come send report wey show say FPI dey exit, net net. Day 1 be suspicious, Day 2 of trading should confirm your suspicions, Day 3 execute your decision.

The fear of corona virus is the beginning of wisdom. That was the cause of all these unwarranted sell couple with increase in TB. Most chartist bailed out this week, so don't tell me that they saw all these coming. If u sell today, is it nt going to be somebody that will buy it? Everybody can't be right at the same time and no body can accurately predict the market. We all dance to the tune of the market the way we wish to. Your action depends on ur entry price!

Wonderful result. Like a thief in the night.

Over to Mr. Market.
Let's watch and see how their this year dividend will look like. If they keep on been stingy, people will not come near them again, look at Afriprudent always at #4+ because they pay above 50% of their earning as dividend, also UCAP. But fidelity find it difficult to pay 15%.

APR pay above 50% of their earning, then tell me why one will not be happy to buy APR above #4. But those who retain larger percentage of 85%/90% of their earning and pay only 10%, will one day record a huge loss as a result of bad debt, and will write it off. Then all the accumulated earning will be reduced and they will start building up again.
I prefer seen and benefiting from my earning than watching it write off in the name of bad debt.

If Fidelity appreciate more due to this their result, I will likely sell all my holding in Fidelity and Chanel it to Zenith, UBA and GTB bank for better dividend payment. Then I will enter Fidelity back later in the year for capital appreciation when their price will return back to below #2. Fidelity do well in capital appreciation, but very poor in payment of dividend.
