This question comes up on this page most times and the answer i see is "Be sincere as much as possible"

There are places your sincerity will get you, and there are places you can decide to be Yourself.

Most of the time, If your application can station on what you have achieved rather than doing....

You could have been a hair dresser, sales girl, or some one that does "something"!

I repeat, the Uniqueness is what gets you a visa!

NwanyiOkpa:

Your point is clear and straight to the point. Thanks a lot.

What do you advise someone without a job currently do about his visa application? Thanks.

TUFIAKWA!!!

Don't o

How will it sound?

Your SOP is a Description of the picture of your Decisions, why would you include a picture again?

Just learn to write very creatively, don't talk about anything that is not documented in that application!

NwanyiOkpa:

Hello, can i include images in my SOP?

I submitted a TRV paper based application at VFS early this month..but the man at VFS didn’t collect my family pictures nor asset pictures..he told me that the embassy don’t really pictures..and I heard some people submitting pictures..how true is this, because I am very concerned! those are part of my proof and ties in my application

Hello Tellalexander,

You should have submitted a coloured paper print out rather than pictures, which is not accepted excepted you are applying online. However, you don't need to worry about not submitting pictures. Its not a requirement.

All the best.

I just got refusal of my study permit yesterday. This is my second application that is been refused. The ground for refusal different from the first one. I have already defer my admission to may intake and I want reapply as soon as possible. Please Gurus in the house I need your. I don't want to get another refusal.
The two reason for refusal is in the attachment. I am waiting for your responses.

Hello CHRISPLACE,

Don't just rush to reapply, request for your notes and take out time to analyse your situation before reapplying.

All the best.

Good day everyone, please what's the possible of trv , if one uses loan to fund tuition accommodation and textbooks, then family as sponspor, your prompt response will be appreciated. Thanks

Hello Onyemaxie,

There is no one here that can tell you if you stand a chance of being granted or not. The only advise I have for you is to endeavour to package your application to the best of your knowledge after analysing your situation.

It is good to take a loan to pursue your study but you have to justify your reasons for the loan when there are similar options in your CoR. Also, endeavour to provide evidence of the loan and delineate on how its going to be offset. However, there is a way you collect a loan but not necessarily justified as a loan but other convincing reasons...

Family sponsorship is good but endeavour to show proper proof of relationship and if possible, evidently show proof of pass commitment.

All the best.

Attention: Justwise, Frank, Vibrant and all Canadian student visa gurus in the house.

Good morning Ladies and Gentlemen,

Please my lil cousin was offered PGC admission to study Information Technology for Spring(May) at Confederation College, Ontario, Canada. We have been so confused with the next steps to be followed given the raising rate of visa refusal at the Canadian Embassy.

Please my immediate questions would be?

1. is the application for study permit different from the application for student visa application?

2. At what stage, is he required to go for medicals and biometrics?

Thanks.

Hello Elsteve,

If I am not mistaken, I think Confederation college is in Thunderbay, a little bit far from Ontario. To your questions:

1. Most applicants confuse the two or use them interchangeably. Thus, a study visa is the application which allows the person to travel or board a flight if approved. While the study permit is issued at the POE prior to arrival in Canada along the work permit.

2. For the biometrics, it is very compulsory to do it unless the said person has done it before. The choice would be his if he decide to do the medicals. Normally, a medical can be done upfront prior to or after submission, or wait till its requested.

All the best.

For MUN undergraduate degree, TOEFL is mandatory.
There are other schools that don't require it

He has paid the 500$ To accept the admission now he plans to file for visa
Hi, his chances of pulling that off are very slim. Even if he gets the visa, he cannot get registered without paying fees, and even if UoR allows that for him, he cant raise the complete fees, using a part-time job, which is a condition for study permit. I believe the course in question is a one-year program.

Okay, well he can give it a try if he wishes to... although he needs to note that 'insufficient proof of funds' is a huge red flag for visa approval.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Mudicua: 6:39am On Jan 31, 2020
This is what happens when people have false expectations about a place they are going to. The notion that you can work to survive is what puts people in a lot of trouble on this travel abroad journey.
This journey entails a lot of financial obligations no matter how we want to think otherwise.
why put yourself in a quagmire thinking things will work out just like that?

Even in Nigeria, we pay tuition and fees before we start school or register for classes... max before exams.
Why do we sometimes think abroad where things are much more organised is where we can get away with it?
The perception is a false perception and I think your friend has to rethink this decision.

Your friend is setting himself up for trouble, and these are my reasons below:

1. His chances of pulling that off is very slim for the following reason:
a. He has to be enrolled /registered for courses and he cannot do that without paying tuition.
b. Even if he does not pay and feels he can work, he cannot really work with the study permit cos he is not enrolled, and as soon as he tries to use that or his SIN to work, it will be noted in the system.
c. That puts him on the streets. (which i am sure he will not like)

2. He can get to Canada without paying the tuition, but as soon as he gets here he has to pay. Some schools can do payment plan that enables him pay in installments. That way he does not pay the 18k at once.
So my best advise is that he should have some savings or some money from Naija to get him by for the first few months, (accommodation and fees) until he gets a job, and be paying tuition little by little.

I do not know much, but these are my 2 cents.

I wish him well.

Not all schools waive it for Nigerians and I think MUN doesn't do that for undergraduate students. Try to talk to them and explain that English language is the language of instruction back in Nigeria (though they are aware of that already) and you will like them to waive the IELTS/TOEFL score for your sibling(I doubt if they will accept though but no harm in trying).
They will be in a better position to assist you

Good day all
My younger brother applied for admission in Lethbridge college.
He got this in his mail this morning.
Please is there still hope of him still getting admission into the college?
If there are any suggestions, I would be more than happy to hear them.
Thanks.

Hello there
To my understanding it’s a 50:50 chance he is qualified for the program but the amount of people admitted makes the space full so Incase any one accepted doesn’t accept the admission and there are Spaces he can be enrolled or better still change the course of study from business administration to another course that’s not filled up
I guess that’s what it means
