With due respect, the bolded is derogatory and should'nt be used especially in this forum. There are times I will like to express my view on some particular stocks but will always see some people reacting to my post negatively as if I am cursing their stocks. I keep saying it that this forum is meant for members to say their mind freely on stocks. But due to our nature, we always view some people's sincere opinion as being negative when actually the person is trying to create an awareness on some particular stocks and the market as a whole. Afterall, what will I gain by misleading anyone.

For the upteenth time, I need to remind all, that the stock market can never keep going up everytime. It is rather a cycle, so the best thing is to always position yourself at the right time to buy and sell. I wish everybody goodluck in the market.
I think he is being sarcastic. He is referring to himself as how people view him, me, others.

Thank You Sir. I wonder how he missed that!

First of all Sir, what's the definition of "Doomsayer"? And how's it a derogatory word to use? We saw some results yesterday and predicted that they will take a sharp downturn today, is that not "doomsaying"? Abeg no light fire where none is needed.

FYI Chief. I am one of the doomsayers, I expected some stocks to be on full offer today and they are not doing as bad as I thought! My post was meant to re-emphasis the fact that Mr. Market has a mind of it's own and all we say here are not certain at all.
Keep looking for trouble.

Why don't you let them trade in peace? grin

I have resorted to just watch the market while relaxing on my mattress.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Nobody: 11:55am On Jan 31, 2020
Is this the FBN someone bought at best price yesterday?

With all due respect, is this your conscience telling you something else? I never mentioned your name anywhere.

If I predict that a N9 stock will go full offer and rest at N8.10, is that not a disaster for those in it? As I no go school, maybe I was not taught properly on use of english.

With all due respect avaiable on NSEMPA.
Whatsoever is said here is meant for everyone. We are all one, the forum has binded us together. I just brought that issue as a point of correction please, not to start a fight. I don't even have strength to fight because I still want to have a good blood pressure to enjoy the money I made in the stock market and anywhere else grin

Have a nice day please.

Bolded means "Someone that predicts Disaster". By God's grace, I will never be one. To me it is a derogatory word. It is better you say that those that predicts a fall in price and not DOOMSAYERS. In addition to this, I have attended at least 20 forum/seminars/workshop on stocks and never have I heard such word used on stock.

With due respect please.
grin grin

What of grave-digger? I was called 'Grave-digger' even with pics showing a man digging. I vex?

Na the fun of the market be that.

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Chibuking81(m): 12:08pm On Jan 31, 2020
Most stock making more gain before releasing of their result always release bear bomb, while those their stock witnessing small drop in price, or slow movement before releasing of their result always release bull bomb.

Stock like UACN in the first category
Stocks like Zenith, GTB, UBA in the second category

I doubt it , except those that fail to answer bonanza call. Those who answer the call will at this point only lose some percentage of their earning. Like Fidelity/FCMB @ #1.40, Zenith at #16, GTB at #26 and many more. The like of Zenith and GTB will still rise above #24 and #35 soon. One can bail out if you see a good stock that loose more, and you feel that you can make more gain from it, one can come down from his vehicle and enter that one.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mcy56(f): 12:29pm On Jan 31, 2020
Banking stock is highly unpredictable in their movement especially during this season.
FBNH is getting more bashing ............but does it always ride on results as such? What of UBA that joined in the race southwards?
Think the big guys are just using the opportunity to depress prices to enter cheaply........because, what can we really say has changed?
By the time we know it, they start moving them up again when they get enough fill. Just my opinion o.

Access Bank:
Bonanza declared around 9.50 ...................back to 9.90/9.95.
Lets wait and see if it's going to declare another one..... grin
madam,

If Access at 9.50 was a bonanza, what can we say about Access at 9.15 and the more to come? Triple bonanza?

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by rebekah2011(m): 12:33pm On Jan 31, 2020
It is a function of how you see this market. If I do not sell, I have only lost the opportunities that I could have derived if the cash was invested elsewhere. when I will say I have lost completely is when there is no recovery for the stock. UPL, if the price goes lower, it is just an opportunity to average down because I know the cash position is not bad. with the right focus of government on education, it will spur the industry again and I can bail out and never look back into that industry again. The banking sector is just the best in this market. Buy right and you will just relax and be enjoying nice dividends.

You don't need to console any one sir.

Stock investment shouldn't be treated as a get rich quick venture

Knowing fully well that the market is highly unpredictable, the best way to approach it is the way oracle said ealier, which is buying into dividend paying stocks. And collecting your yearly dividents, while waiting for any year foreign investors show up inorder to sell.

If everybody go into jijo ... How do u think the market would look like.

I so much like the spirit of agbalowomeri, he said, he would only start to look at uacn price from 2nd quarter.

THAT'S HOW THE HEROES OF THIS MARKET TRADE

Why making those in the market already to feel like they committed murder? Market is going nowhere.
We might miss the opportunity to enter lower but in as much as we dont sell, its not yet a loss.
I'm in UBA and I'm not selling.

Lol........Every sale is someone else's purchase.......Every loan is someone else's receivable.........This brings up the issue of value and risk..............The folks that bought Diamond Bank at sub #1 were not stupid, they cashed out handsomely.............Had they been listening to the tune of the daily market, they would never key into the opportunity @ the time they did.......Moreover Someone here predicted way back that this current bull ride was audio in nature and we branded him Babalawo............ Your 1 million today can become 100k come February ending an can become 1.7 million come March 1st........it all depends on when you bought
