While some people are against the Lagos State Government decision on this ban I think the state government averted a major security threat with the Chadians, Nigerien and Sudanese trooping the country in numbers and pretending to be "Okoda riders", someone would have just woke up one morning and discover Lagos State have been captured by Boko Haram.

Go around Lagos at night between 11pm to 1am and see how this guys stuff up in a tight corner littered with Okoda, some even sleep on the Okoda.

They speak hausa during the day but at night speak a foreign language...I caught one recording a voice note on a WhatsApp group the other day (Yes a WhatsApp group) Trust me this guys got a mission and I hope Lagos State Government make the Lagos State Neighborhood Watch more effective (I don't even know what Neighborhood Watch does apart from riding biscycle and sitting at bus stops all day)

I heard the reason why they banned Okada and Keke Napep is because some people are using it to commit crimes.

Hopefully, they will soon ban all cars and buses too since those criminals will most likely upgrade to using cars and buses.

Banning Okada and Keke Napep is not the solution to security challenge.
Can buses easily access places bike can access?

Muslims would use their hands to destroy their homes/country and then run to non muslims region and still continue their useless sharia chants.

It's madness!

Lagos State just subscribed to hardship
No, they just gained freedom, because most of them are almajiri from the North and they were overpopulating Lagos, people with links to herdsmen terrorists and Bokoharam. I finally agree with the LASG, this was a security move to naturally checkmate the flooding of Lagos with criminal elements under the guise of okada. God bless Sanwoolu with more wisdom. All other southwest states should follow suit. And they should ban okada completely. They are going back to the were they came from. Same way the killer herdsmen are panicking over Amotekun. Infiltration mission of the Southwest has failed. Let them try their luck elsewhere. Even the Yoruba criminals that rob with motorcycles will be having sleepless nights now. Karma has reached their doorstep with vengeance.

People commenting good development, nuisance will reduce in Lagos... Nuisance will reduce for banning Keke napep and Okada really?... Between Danfo drivers and Keke or Okada riders, who create nuisance more?. Even agbero Lord, their king in Oshodi knows the truth. I don't see any sense in this sanctioning to me. Render people jobless without creating any alternative for surviving is a bad governance

It is easy to use them than cars. Aside that the rate of bike accident are rampant

Nice move. Lagos needs to update itself as a mega city, nothing good comes easy.

Let the population reduce small

This is fine but mega cities have good transport system and road network.

Those are Northerners relocating to God-knows-where.

They come into Lagos with truck loads of people and motorcycles and now that the state government has said no to them, they are left with no option than to leave the way they came lest they die of hunger.

Some of you have never been to Lagos before but you are pseudo-knowledgeable about the affairs and activities of the state. Beats my imagination.

You're very correct. It's a security move by the LASG government. At first I didn't agree with the ban but now I see things in better perspective and the LASG was being proactive to avert a major security disaster in future. With one move they just cut off their massive inflow into Lagos. I totally agree with your post. You are wise. God bless Sanwoolu. He did the right thing.

Let them relocate, it's only people who think and have mentality like them will see nothing good in what the government had done, let them go and learn a trade, they are dangers in the waiting, okada had been banned in ABUJA, KANO ANAMBRA and Co, people didn't die and heaven did not fall, so why LAGOS?more so they are only banned in 6 out of the 20 local government in lagos.
So let them ply their trades in other local government if they still want to remain in lagos or move to other states which will welcome them
