You don't get first class through "sorting and bribing". And majority of the 2:1 is through hard work. Those who graduated with 2:2 knew the reasons.

I graduated with second class lower too,ten years ago. I was able to show my skills and prove my worth to my prospective employers then, I was retained in my NYSC PPA, I rejected it. I was giving appointment by one private college education, which I also rejected due to the condition of service. I am now a full time businessman with great fortune by God's grace.So my brother, there's deposit of ideas in us,if we can think and didn't allow circumstances to define us

First and foremost let me congratulate you for graduating successfully form Uni.....Now the truth is when there is life there is hope even for the person with pass. This is what I am going to advise:
1. Develop your self on a skill set or something..
2. If you have the resources go for a Masters or better still save for it..
3. Take shots at getting a job or doing something.....never mind the pay yet...just build your experience first
4. Finally always be close to God
The truth of the matter is life will not give you what you want but what you demand....everything is in God's hands....time and chance comes to all men...Take care bro and see you at the top! Peace!!

It is comparatively as bad as getting a score of 200 in UTME is to a university applicant. You are not exactly rejected yet, but inside you, you know that you need to have an uncle who is a faculty dean or the VC; as well as score at least 90% overall in post UTME if you want to get a toe in.

So in this case, you either get someone who is an oga at the top in the organization where you wish to work as your uncle, and/or you upgrade yourself with additional academic certifications, professional qualifications or relevant certified skills.

Oga it not about what you came out with ooo. But what you make out of yourself. I graduated with 2:2 too. I saw it coming sha. I started learning graphic design same year. Today now. I work with international coy. I ve not collect my cert sef. Make dem still holelam small.

Bros go and learn skill... Employer concern themselves with what service you can render to improve their business strategy and development.

Your life will be dependent on your skill sets and imagination. Which labour market? What are you offering the market? If u have a skill then you sef can be an employer of labour. First class sef dey find job. Jobs are so scarce they are not on merit like you define merit. It has changed. Good luck in acquiring a skill. Even wood working is a skill. We call it carpenter and belittled it.

Op, i suggest you should not look into the labour market but keep an eye on the money market instead.In this day an age, it is what you know and can implement that earns.Get a lucrative skill.Use your education and initiative to make the skill atrractive.

Even me my 2.1 cert is just useless because I threw the certificate under my bed, I will advice you to do the same and hustle, learn a skill just learn anything, with what I'm doing I earn $100 plus daily trading and am not talking about my other streams of incomes, the truth is that even if am working in a good firm I can never make what am earning right now, I'm fully independent and I've employed 5 people so far and I plan on employing more if my business expands, so I'm telling you to never rely on that cert, go and hustle.

You should be concern if you have the experience required for the job you want to apply for. There are a lot of advertised banking job for young graduates, preper yourself if you actually merit the 2:2.

Most students these days read/plan just to get 2.2/2.1 and not really to have the knowledge, and sees 2.1/2.2 as express to get job, which is far from that their ideal.

You only get to know the applicants capacity during interview with the 2.1/2.2

2:2 simply means that you did not do what 1st class and 2:1 people did.
That is past tense now.
Now looking to the future, are you still going to behave like a 2:2 person? Or are you ready to repent and behave as a 1st Class person?
Be honest with yourself.
Do you know how a 1st class person behaves? Do you have any friends like that?
Have you studied them? How they eat, sleep, play, interact?
How they priorities their duties?
Are you ready to change your attitude like them? Or are you still going to continue f**king around and be expecting 1st class treatment?

Human beings will always have someone to blame for their failure.

I would have probably believed the emboldened if I didn't have the chance to attend a university.

Please leave your lecturer out of this because there was no way you could have aced all your courses. You would always have courses that you didn't do well at.

Coming to the labour market, it's not going to be funny if you have no connection. By graduating with a 2'2, you have automatically denied yourself many perks, including working with good companies as a graduate trainee.

However, all hope isn't lost.

You should go and acquire professional courses just to make your CV look attractive to employers. You should do plenty of it, and apply for jobs meant for 2'1 graduates. Believe me, it works.

If you don't do that, two things are evolved: You will stay on nonsensical jobs for years or you will end up creating a job for yourself just like the rest of us did.

I have not been opportune like you guys that got parents support in school...na struggle i take go part-time school at the same time i was working with one small company to cut the story short at end i come out with 2:2 to be honest with you the cert was not any valve to me after graduation because i have reached hight at place of work company are not looking into my certificate anymore what they care about me is the services i render that's all.
Today, our society really care about what's services you can render to their establishment.

From my observation 2.2 graduates are the most successful because they are ready to do anything meaningful.

Most 2.1 and first class graduates are selective.

Start little and grow big
