My Empty Flight Experience: What Is The Emptiest Airline Flight You've Flown On?

Good afternoon, I'm here sitting and reminiscing while going through all my travel photos, I saw some photos of myself on EgyptAir from Cairo to Athens on July 30th, 2019, I was the only passenger at the economy back seats with a Chinese girl at the front. I was happily jumping from seat to seat.

Why was the flight not cancalled?

Though some aircraft has been reported carrying a single passenger on a flight before.

I read that flight with just one passenger may still fly because the airline needs that aircraft at the next leg.

The aircraft may still be making money by carrying cargo that is contracted for delivery

Scheduled and the aircraft is traveling a final series of routes on its way to the facility. It can still earn some revenue hauling passengers & cargo as it gets closer to that facility.

A flight is about moving four things:

An aeroplane
A flight crew
Cargo (often filling up the hold)
Passengers

I once traveled on an almost empty Ethiopian airline flight from Johannesburg to Madrid.

The only difference is that these guys below were the only passenger on board on their flight, apart from the crew and pilot!!

All the planes are overused.. Most are always on transit

Passengers are already waiting for the said plane.. So Na double loss if they did not take the single passenger

this is a comon thing on return flights back to Nigeria, except for December time

Flights to UK and Dubai/Abudhabi on Emirate or Etihad from Lagos is always filled up but flights back are mostly empty and the Air hostess let you seat anywhere you like, infact you can snap in the FirstClass section to scam your friends,

This makes me always ask why people are running away from Nigeria every day and only few are returning
