Hiii Femicjk. Great job you're doing here and God bless you for your assistance to people. I have read the requirements of NZL visit visa in their website and i think i can actually meet those requirements. Now my question is, is, if i succeed in getting 3months visitors visa, can I work over there and the change my status to working visa and then process PR eventually? Thanks in advance.

Hello SAT123

I'm trying to get an Accredited employer also for a while now but they all keep saying once I get into the country (NZ) then I should come to them. I've submitted my CV to some recruitment agency in NZ and they all saying the same thing. Kindly elaborate more if you have the time, how you went about getting Accredited employer.

Also Femi, please if you're reading this, I will like you to advise on what to do here.

I plan to relocate with my fiancee down to NZ, I want to run school application for her (Msc), while I tag along as benefactor because according to NZ website I can easily get a work permit if she is in school over there.

Please what do you think about this process? Anyone in the house can advise also.

SAT123:

I came in on Work to residence (Accredited employer) visa.

The INZ website will give more clarification on it but it was sponsored by an Accredited employer.

Please guru in the house I will appreciate your kind advice. Thanks.

I have called her to take the 150k and return my passport. Once I get my passport I am planning to report her to the media there is a popular radio and TV program, MAN AROUND TOWN. So to see if they can help stop dis criminal lady frm collecting money frm people on pretence. I need advice if to go ahead or mind my business.

Hi,

My case is entirely different as I didn’t search for any accredited employer,my employer in Nigeria is an accredited in NZ and they had openings which need to be filled urgently by experienced hand, that created the opportunity for me,and my entire process was handled by the company,I also came here to seek advice whenever am lost.

Here is a link to the NZ accredited employer culled from immigration NZ website.

https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-zealand-visas/apply-for-a-visa/tools-and-information/tools/accredited-employers-list

I will advice you mail them and see if there is opening that will suit you.

yea, being a dependent on your spouse student visa is a very good option......you will get an open work visa for as long as she's in NZ. Either study or post study work visa. Also, as a dependent, if you get a skilled job, u might be eligible for residency and your wife will also benefit.

You have a skill which is needed in NZ......however I will advise you to do some google search on how to get a job as a crane driver from oversea....the resources are available online. Read and understand what u looking for and how to apply or calculate the points. come back with any questions then we might be able to help.....but advising u when u dont have any idea about what visa or process u looking at is quite tedious.

If you can afford it, your fiancee coming to New Zealand to study is a good way of coming to New Zealand. However, if you can't afford the cost of her MSc, let her do her masters degree Nigeria and apply for a PhD admission. Tuition fee for PhD is way cheaper than masters and undergraduate.

Happy New Year Everyone,

I arrived NZ, Hamilton safely on Sunday 19th January.

Thanks to everyone here with advice and a lot of useful information been posted here.

I will work on getting as much information as possible so that I can contribute my quota in making this platfom better for as many people that requires the information.

I still need help with where to get what here in Hamilton.,any African store for something close to what we have in Nigeria?

I won't mind meeting up before I resume work fully.

Wish us all a fulfilling new year.

SAT123

I offered to assist you with information and connect you to some Nigerians over there in Hamilton as I have lived and worked in Hamilton. I'm not usually online on Nairaland these days and obviously I can't share the contact out here on a public forum. If you still need any information or assistance, feel free to send me a PM.

@ Fazbuk,

To help you, what is your misision and visa status?
Where do you intend to visit or stay?
What type of challenges are you envisaging?

There aren’t any challenges so far provided you have made up your mind to pull through.

You will adapt to food and get stuffs that suit you but don’t expect swallow 100%,you will get Semolina and okro at chinese stores, palm is available in Auckland,am yet to go down there.

For accomodation,be prepared...it is very expensive but you can pair with people in a flat;avg 200-300NZD/week.

You can ask further and specific questions.

I didn't send a certification of my passport either and was offered PhD admission into the University. I will advice you to focus on other things for now especially how to secure a visa. I feel this can be sorted out when you finally get to the University.
