Ramsey Noah...I was 8 or 9 years old at the time, he happened to be at the venue of my uncle's wedding. He was such a chill guy.

Smiled at us a lot, asked our names and what class we were in, real chill guy and his smile is just as great in reality, as it is in the movies

Have you met any celebrity?

Okay guys, just to get the weekend started, let's relate any encounter had with a celebrity. You can also share an encounter you had with them before or after fame.

I'll start...

I grew up in kaduna state, Nigeria. I had a cousin who was a local musician and a DJ who was only popular in our hood that time. He met me one day and told me he was going to organize a free show in order to give up coming artiste a platform to be heard in that area...

At that time, I wasn't interested in music at all, I was just going with him because he was my cousin. So before the day of the show, he introduced me to a young rapper who was not even known at that time. I could bet nobody knew him in his own street, lol.

So we got familiar with each other, meanwhile this was around 2008 or 2009....

The day of the show finally came, every artiste performed and that young rapper that was introduced to me earlier on got noticed by a record label agent or so, because I couldn't even remember what happened or how it happened, but from that day till this day, I haven't set my eyes on that rapper again, except on television...

That rapper was SKALES of E.M.E

Is skales from the north ?

One came to my office and I didn't even recognize her or give her the regard most give to them. She was like, you don't know me?
Then she removed her shade then she repeated, you still don't recognize me? She said, my name is Toyin bla blah blah and I still couldn't recognize her. So I pretended to remember/recognize her and apologized to her and told her am a very local person
I'm not really a celebrity freak

Truth be told, I have never seen any celebrity in real life. Ok maybe only 2face when he came to Uniben to perform at sport complex, i was even late to the enter. I was entering, he was leaving.

I have never ever in my life seen an popular figure, Or to even talk to them upclose and personal.

Well, they are celebrities but are rarely regarded as one. They're soldiers, the ones who swear an oath of allegiance to Nigeria, yes, some of them are terrible but truth is most of them are amazing! They get stipends to fight for this country, defend this country and ensure that there's a level of safety in this country (they're trying their best). I'm currently serving in a barrack and I must say that my encounters with most of the soldiers here have been nothing short of amazing. They are kind, hardworking, valiant, etc. I've had the privilege of directly teaching a battalion commander who was and still is nothing but Godfearing, strong and kind, he commands the battalion well and ensures everything goes on smoothly. He is always ready for battle and doesn't fear death (most soldiers don't!). Most of the soldiers who act like they're crazy have probably been to Maiduguri and seen hell, it greatly affects them to the point that if care isn't taken, it shatters them! I also have a friend in a colonel ( the current chief of staff of where I am working), he is nothing but strong and also ever ready for battle! Their motto is "no gut, no glory'. They all have gut and are ever conscious. I have met quite a few number of celebrities but none compare to the soldiers I have met (both officers and soldiers--- privates, last corporal, corporal, staff sergeant, master warrant officers, warrant officers, orderlies etc). They have their flaws but majority of them are superb and are trying their best to ensure there's safety in the country! Kudos to the Nigerian Army...

Hmmm.

Most of mine involve professional footballers.

1. Entered a plane where Genevieve was sitting in first class. I was being a bit loud as I boarded so she was looking up to see who was coming. We made eye contact and I recognized her. Wasn't going to speak to her as I wasn't a fan but she quickly looked away and that annoyed me and I have disliked her since.

2. I have shaken hands with Gambia's ex president, Yahya Jammeh, and had a brief chat with him.

3. When I was still an artist I performed at the same event as Alvin Slaughter. Jerry Omole was also there.

4. I was at the gym using one of the leg machines and there was a vaguely familiar guy next to me using a similar one. As he was leaving I observed he was a Gambian national team player. I have crossed paths with a few of them including this way.

5. Current Gambia National team captain was a guest at a wedding where I was best man.

6. Walked past 9ice and pasuma once. Didn't recognize them though.

Do C suite level bank managers count?

When Derenle was still hot I was at a sit out somewhere in Abuja and the guy man catwalked past us with those humongous high heeled shoes he wears .I looked at him and I am sure he saw the shock in my eyes. I told myself so this guys mode of dressing is actually real.

I just moved aside and gave him space to pass grin before the craze in his head spreads to me tongue

Back then at the University of Nigeria, Nkem Owoh came to see a lady in Bello Hall .The whole female hostel almost went gaga that day .Celebrities don't freak me ,I just look at them and go my way.
