They are working so hard to gather points they'd consider enough to curry the Eastern votes in 2023.

But hey, I think I need to remind us that the Second Niger bridge was commissioned as Public Private Partnership Project.

What that means, as I remember president GEJ saying then, is that once the govt pays it's counterpart fund for the project, which Jonathan did, the project will go on irrespective of who is in power.

That's the truth they don't want us to remember.

True Igbo sons and daughters will never drive, ride or walk on a bridge built by Fulani man through Public Private Partnership . I know this poster is a true Igbo son, if however this poster drives or rides or walks on the bridge, then it means that we was born after the civil war, so he has conflict of identity.

Very stupid comment.

So it was better for the FG to have abandon the project.

Why can't your brother do the bridge to get more votes from his people cos he lost more votes and prevent Buhari from having 25% in the region? I don't blame most of you guys, u see nothing wrong in your brother that earned trillions of dollars from oil boom but looted away everything and also bleeped the national treasury but detest a man building your future with less earning.

Jonathan paid indeed?

In fact, Jonathan paid for every project that will be delivered in Nigeria from 2015 till 3015. What he didn't pay for are the projects done or expected to be done from 2010 to 2015 when he held sway.

In the time Amaechi delivered Lagos Ibadan rail from scratch, FAshola has barely improved on what he met on Lagos Ibadan express.

Lag-Ibadan rail has not been delivered it's still under construction but in advance stage, while Lagos-Ibadan express way (with NASS slashing its budget) has really improved with more KMs completed, you don't have to lie to prove a point, It's what y'all do on this platform, Non of your parents would be proud to see what y'all do here, well that's if they re not bigots like you lots...

Go to school for English lessons. I never said Lagos Ibadan rail has been delivered. Feel free to show me. What I said is that the rail has been completed, which is a remarkable feat considering this project was only started in 2017. The track is completed the trains are running, it is only the stations remaining. FAshola on the other hand inherited a project which was already approximately 50% complete when he became minister and their has been little progress. The other thing I said which you are free to prove me wrong is FAshola has not completed ANY meaningful project or come close to finishing any in his 5 years as minister. Furthermore he was a complete disaster as power minister...hence his removal.

I don’t know why the need for insults and how bigotry entered a debate about facts. I am Yoruba, if anything I suspect you are also Yoruba, this proving you are the bigot. As clearly you are more interested in defending tribe that facts.

Amaechi is a super achiever and the best minister Nigeria has had since 1999, FAshola has exposed himself as overrated...these are facts. FAshola has nothing on ground to show! Amaechi completed, Abuja Kaduna rail, has completed itakpe Warri rail, has commissioned airports, has more of less finished Lagos Ibadan and is already embarking on others, yet FAshola has yet to show a completed project.

Amaechi gets on with the job while FAshola is always giving one excuse or the other always blaming someone or the other. The truth is if you examine his performance level while governor of Lagos, his only major achievement was security and increasing IGR but what did he do with the IGR? You guess is as good as mine, a few token poor quality projects for a people used and content with mediocrity! . With the amount of money available to LASG, he was a monumental failure. He is now being exposed at the federal level.

The Lagos-Ibadan railway line and Lagos-Ibadan express way may not be a fair comparison considering the fact that the railway project is fully funded by the Chinese and Amaechi wouldn't be hindered by funding and budgetary process while the Ibadan expressway is funded by the Nigerian government and it has to go through appropriation. Knowing how slow our budgetary procceses are and coupled with the fact that the national assembly may not appropriate as much as is fairly required for a project in a fiscal year, then you may want to cut BRF some slack.

A similar arrangement as the standard gauge railways with the Chinese loan completing what the Jonathan administration already paid.
That explains the speed of works on the Lagos-Ibadan railways while the express road is at a near standstill.

GEJ was a complete disaster. Never in the history of Nigeria has so much been received and yet so little to show for it. If we were a nation of serious people he would not be able to show his face in public again.

You are correct to the extent that the railway project has local funding component.

However, what I meant was that because of the Chinese counterpart funding and the consequences of breaching the contract, FG has made available the complete local funding as early as 2017 and there was no need for a yearly back and forth on appropriation and budget defence.

While in the case of the expressway, funds have been made available piecemeal, on a yearly basis. Infact, there were reported instances of the budgeted amount being slashed under the leadership of Senator Bukola Saraki, the Senate President, as he then was.

Now, I'm not in any way defending Fashola but I just like for us to compare apples to apples. If you, as a person, were to be evaluated for performance and non-performance; I would try to do that vis-a-vis the resources that were made available to you.

"Fashola said the budget for Lagos-Ibadan Expressway was slashed by more than two-thirds from N31 billion to N10 billion, even as contractors have demanded an outstanding payment of N15 billion."

I mentioned the Yoruba thing because the person I responded to brought it up.

I don’t like FAshola, never liked him even when he was Lagos governor, always thought he was overhyped by an electorate accustomed to mediocrity.

The track is finished. That in itself is an achievement. Mind you it was started in 2017. All FAshola had to do was complete a road that was already more than 50% completed in 2015, what has he been able to do? Again I ask you to tell me what project FAshola has completed in 5 years? He incompetence was so exposed he was removed from power ministry.

FAshola talks a good talk, but if you examine what he delivers, you will find emptiness. If he wasn’t a politician or a lawyer, he would be a salesman or a pastor! We all know the requirements for those professions especially in Nigeria.

His incompetence you say... lipsrsealed
All these yen! Yen! Yen! Yen! About fashola. When last did wheel on the Lagos ibadan express way?

Or some housing projects he delivered in Abuja dropped down from heaven?

Lagos abeokuta road renovation is also there...

I guessed ur 24hours power supply is now intact. Power generation now under Salem mannamah is worse than it was under Fashola.....

One was given 3 project to work on before a slot was taken from him due to the fact you guys were complaining it was too much....

Won't take anything away from amechi but as transportation minister, it's just rail..... Fashola would have done much more better on that....
