my dinner!

no other choices . the only eatery house near the station. it was tucked away in the street in front of the station. i used my own utensil to take this food to my room to enjoy it.

my sleeping bag unrolled as a mattress.

500 rupee , 2500 naira, for a fan room. half of the air conditioned one.

but in future days, i sticked to the A/C room after this first night's lesson.

outside the window were lots of rubbish.

butter milk, with a strong curry smell.

i regreted to buy one, but very cheap, 25 rupee, 120 naira.

very nauseating taste, unless you are an indian.

it had many other bag dressings, which tricked me to buy it again and again.

indian desserts. pretty sweet. i had a full tummy already, so i did not buy them this time.

there was no wifi in the guesthouse, but the owner allowed me to use his megabytes . so, i had to linger in the first floor hall for a while, the hall was very bleak.

end of the first day.

igbesachick:

some welcomed me, even beckoned me to come inside to have a look, some refused me by saying there is no room available.

in southwest india, where racism was most rampant, i chanced to be told ALL rooms already taken by others. 20 hotels/gusthouses in 2 cities refused me. very impressive !

in kochi, i had to reveal my passport and ask the railway policemen to help me to solve the problem. they phoned a hostel and finally put me in.

next day, full of anger, i deliberately went back to EACH hotel which had rejected me , and asked again. surprisingly , they rejected me again, and said all rooms taken. how can that be possible ? at 7am all rooms taken?

i told one owner of the hotels, i said he was lying. he was furious and hard to resist to beat me.

but, some other indians were nice. it is a big country, anything could happen. be open minded.
Indians should repent from this selfish acts.

vendor on the train, concocting some sort of snack, looked a bit disgusting.

sticky , mucous stuff, maybe rice and peanuts, churned in a plastic cup, and doused with lemon juice, ornated by cucumber slices.
