ENIGMATIC2023:
For the children in the house....

This is the beginning of the case

Lower courts earlier decision

Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court in Abuja had, on November 12 2019, disqualified the APC governor-elect on the grounds that his deputy provided false information to INEC.
Mr Ekwo held that there was no connection between the name on the candidate’s school-leaving certificate, first degree (BA), master’s degree and the affidavits he swore.
However, the court of appeal set aside the decision of the trial court and affirmed the election of the APC candidates.
The three-member panel of the appellate court led by Justice Stephen Adah said that the PDP did not prove their case against the APC candidates.
The court held that Mr Degi-Eremienyo submitted an affidavit which showed evidence of his change of name from Adeyi-Eremienyo to Degi-Eremienyo.
“I agree with the appellant that the owner of the school leaving certificate and the GCE certificate are one and the same and I, therefore, set aside the judgment of the court below,” Mr Adah said.
Dissatisfied with the decision of the court of appeal, Mr Diri and his party filed an appeal at the apex court.
In its judgment on Thursday, the apex court set aside the judgment of the court of appeal and affirmed the decision which nullified Mr Degi-Eremienyo’s candidacy.

Of course, the judgment made zero sense, obviously, the idea was to sack the incoming governor by any means necessary so they came up with the most absurd and ridiculous infraction that's not even a technicality.

What they should have done, have the Deputy governor-elect submit an affidavit to clarify his real and preferred name since the issue was not a case of about impersonation, but a candidate using different names.

Unfortunately for the SC, they boxed themselves in with their judgment because the person they are trying to rig into office doesn't have the constitutionally required spread to be sworn in, unless the SC is asserting that the constitution and electoral laws or even the laws of Nigeria are all totally irrelevant and beneath the SC.

The SC with this judgment looks like dumb crooks because they did not think through or closely scrutinize their judgment or consider what happens next per the constitution and electoral laws.

Please don't put incorruptible and Mary Odili in one sentence so you don't abuse the word incorruptible. We're talking about a woman that helped procure an injunction that prevents her husband from being investigated and prosecuted perpetually after his time as governor. That's the highest form of corruption. Just because she is doing the biddings of you and your tribesmen and party just like the other faction in the Supreme Court are doing doesn't mean you should insult the sensibilities of fair-minded people.

Let's stop bringing Imo State and PDP into this matter. Has Lyon and His Deputy presented us with the facts of what they submitted to INEC? Have they claimed that the Judgment is perverse?

If they feel the Judgment is perverse, let them present the facts let's analyze it dispassionately.
You reasoned intelligently. Lets wait for APC's facts on the allegations.

PDP have facts which everybody understands, hence their protests.

Please explain to us here what technicalities are in judgement.

Thanks.
