Can one get a 16-18 months ICT course in UK for £12-13k? Reason for such duration is because I need ample time to work to pay off my tuition balance, integrate more into the UK society and get longer UK work experience. One year is just too small methinks.

A lot of January resumption I noticed is not one year. I didnt see any ... most January resumption tend to be 18 months program. As for Sept resumption I have no clue because I didnt check

Hello, im a prospective student like you, just want to confirm if your came with any waiver/scholarship?

Mykaelolalekan:
I had my English Language Proficiency Interview today with Teeside University. I received my results shortly afterwards and my unconditional admission offer almost immediately. I was required to pay 4k pounds deposit to secure my slot. Now that I am contemplating paying within next week, I will be glad if any Teeside University current or past students can shed more light on the prospect of attending the school.

Good day, Justiwise and others.

1. Please I need your expert advise or opinion on this: let's say I have a baggage allowance of 50kg by Etihad airline, can I have a bag weighing 30kg and the other weighing 20kg? Or must the kg be evenly distributed?

2. Another one... is my hand luggage and laptop bag amount the allotted 50kg?

3. Is my laptop bag gonna be weighed?

Thank you for your response!

Yes I'm going for the two years course particularly for the PSW and also to acquire international work experience during my vocational internship. I don't have experience tough tbh but I don't mind as I will eventually acquire that from my internship.

Thanks once again. I'm very grateful.
If you apply for one year MSc beginning in September 2020, you will still get PSW.

What you should aim for is Tier 2 or UK post brexit immigration which can lead to permanent residence.

Check my below quote on gsk4reality comments.

What are the examples of marketable courses you can study in the UK with high possibilities of securing a tier 2 visa?

I intend studying Petroleum and Gas Engineering....what are the chances of securing a job after study?

And again.. Which courses are in high demand over there apart from the medical and health related courses.
Any help will be appreciated .

I like the fact that you are emphasising on Tier 2. Many people here are focused on getting student jobs and PSW. PSW and student jobs does not lead to permanent residency.

However, Tier 2 and the recently announced UK post Brexit immigration ( to begin in 2021) can lead to permanent residency.

SO HOW CAN I GET TIER 2 VISA?

1. To get Tier 2 visa, the employer must be registered in the government tier 2 sponsored list which gets updated.

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/register-of-licensed-sponsors-workers.

So if you are applying to companies that is not on the sponsored list, then you cannot have Tier 2 visa.

2. The minimum threshold limit is 30000 pounds for graduate role. This limit is higher for experienced role. What this means is that your Tier 2 employer must pay an annual salary of 30,000 pounds above. This is very hard. Even fresh doctors and nurses (entry level) according to NHS payment scale do not earn 30,000 pounds annually.

WHAT TO DO TO MAKE YOU SECURE TIER 2 VISA AND UK POST BREXIT IMMIGRATION

Try to apply for jobs in the shortage occupation lists: Chef, Geologists, Mechanical Engineers, Civil Engineers, IT, Teachers (science, maths and physics teachers) and many others. Check the below link for more information:

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration-rules/immigration-rules-appendix-k-shortage-occupation-list

The advantage of working in any of the occupation in the shortage lists is that the minimum threshold is reduced. This will allow you to be more employable. Also, for the UK Post Brexit immigration ( to begin in 2021), those in the above shortage lists will be awarded more points.

Good luck and take care.

It is through a Skype video call. You will be called at your appointed time. The questions are not structured. Just to examine your listening skills and how you can flow during conversation. In my own case, I was asked the following questions:
1: why Teeside University?
2, why studying Accounts and Finance?
3, Talk about your memorable Journey you have ever embarked on?
4, What are the things you wish Nigeria government should improve on the transportation system..
It is an interactive session. Not really a difficult one. I was a bit nervous before the interview but the flow was ok as the interview progressed.
I scored 80 for listening, 80 for speaking at the end.

Please, house.

I graduated with a CGPA of 3.43
What chances have I to get a scholarship to study in the UK? Are there possible scholarships one can get?

I want to embark on this journey of doing my masters in the UK. Is 5 million naira budget sufficient for this?

Please, how do I go about this?

Most schools in the UK usually give international students discounts from £1000 to £2000 for their first year tuition.
As for scholarships, I’m afraid only 2:1 and first class are qualified to apply.
As for 5million? Try Birmingham city university, Teesside university and most of them outside london.

Oh. Never knew it is banned in your travel section but it is allowed in Education, Career and Job nairaland section for people to get awareness in job and scholarship. All the moderators cannot be all wrong and I have been posting the Facebook link since 2011.

Educational awareness is not advertisement. Advertisement is for business to get money. I am not making any given money. I dont even have that given time. Facebook is not my personal website but for Mark Zuckerberg.

If it is your policy of not posting scholarship information here, then that will be stopped.

My salary is less than 100k and I am being sponsored by my brother, he intends to move all d funds to my acct thou for the visa process.

For Teesside you are to pay a deposit of £4000 after you receive your unconditional offer letter.

This is your poor attempt to divert attention to the main point of my initial comment, this got nothing to do with you posting job or scholarship materials here, I'm referring to your attitude of inciting your website to your posts as a reference even when that material has nothing to do with your website.

Feel free to pull that tricks in job or Education section but please avoid doing it here. That's just my point.

Bro i was told to upload my WAEC result with atleast C6 in English by Teesside uni so as to get my unconditional offer letter, my problem is i have a waec result but the person who helped me to register my waec then made a mistake and added a year to my age and it's evident on the WAEC certicate, the age on the certificate is not in sync with the age I'm using nw so I have been using my NECO result since then.... Will teesside accept a NECO certificate please?
