did you reapply by submitting all your documents all over again or you just appeal by submitting your hotel reservation only and appeal letter?
my wife was denied and this would be her second time

Please advise

Teefab:
In the spirit of giving back.......

I applied for my visiting Visa Jan 22nd and got a pick up notification on the 31st of Jan.....picked up but it was a Visa denial.....
Been to SA about three times so was shocked.... because the reason for the denial was just that my hotel could not confirm reservation....

It was very flamsy" then i thought maybe they were just angry that i was given my 4th Visa to SA last year"2019 Oct" and couldn't make the trip, because by the time my daughters Visa came out mine had expired....

To cut the long story short....i reapplied last week thursday and i got a notification for pick up 4 working days after(on wednesday)got my passport yesterday (thursday) and my Visa was there.

All the very best to all those waiting for theirs.
Best Regards.

Please is there any applicant here that submitted since November, 2019 and has not gotten back his or her passport? Despite weekly reminder to those emails provided here nothing has been done neither did they reply any of the emails. Please what can the applicant do again?

Yes, i reapplied by submitting all my docs all over again (But more recent and freshly printed up to date docs)and i used the premium (thats about 12k+ extra)
I wouldn't advise anyone to APPEAL because i certain it will take months before its comes out.

Moreso, what was the reason for the refusal?
And as she been to SA before?

Good morning all, I'll really like to know, why Nigerians are still going to south Africa with the recent xenophobia attacks and a ok so as a fresh chemical engineering graduate just out of school, is the land greener in South Africa if I decide to pursue a masters program in any of the SA schools?

Best Wishes

Hello, Please when you reapplied, in the column where they asked if you've been denied entry into the Republic before, what was your response?

Hello, Please when you reapplied, in the column where they asked if you've been denied entry into the Republic before, what was your response?

When you apply for a Visa and the response was negative, then your application is denied but when after you were granted Visa you arrived at the country but the immigration officer denies you entry into the country (most likely you were unable to convince him/her of your purpose in the Republic), only then have you been denied entry.

So if you are filling a Visa application form and you get to the "Denied Entry" part, they are not asking if your application has been denied before, they are asking if an immigration officer has bounced you at point of entry before.

Hello everyone. Good day. I'm looking to apply for an undergraduate study in a university in South Africa and most of the leads i've seen on this thread are for Masters and PhD students. My questions are:

1. Are my chances of getting a study visa for undergraduate program slimmer than for Masters and PhD?
2. What are the requirements and documents that i need to provide including amount range for bank statement?
3. Which universities(especially around Joburg or Pretoria) have high acceptance for international students?
4. Has anyone been granted study visa for an undergraduate program recently? If yes, can i get their contact to reach out to them?
5. Can my wife change to my study visa within SA as a tourist or does she need to apply to come with my study visa from her home country?

If you can help me navigate through this, i would like to contact you for more info, please email me at phantomxcess at gmail dot com.

Expecting helpful detailed replies or references. Thank you so much.

Good day nairalanders. Please I want your advice on this, I have applied for study Visa twice at Abuja and I was refused on those two different occasions. Reasons are:
1st application on the ground of insufficient fund(600k plus) and no evidence of examination by radiologist even when the radiological form was submitted(stamped and sign at state government hospital)
2nd submission, I submitted statements of account of my cousin with balance of 4m plus and with sponsor letter written that she will sponsor my study program but I was refused Visa on the ground that my sponsor hung up phone when contacted and of which there was a network failure when my sponsor was contacted. I tried to apeal to explain what happened but vfs Abuja told me that they don't accept apeal letter for study visa. Please what should I do

Can somebody help me with the Lagos vfs address (The way it will appear on my self introduction letter)
2. What are the documents required in Lagos that differs from Abuja because Abuja requires submission and certification of your certificates at federal ministry of education in Abuja .
3. What's Visa application fees for study Visa in Lagos because I was told that as at December last year it was 45k
4. Can I still go ahead using the admission letter(because on my admission letter it states that am expected to register btw January 1 and June 6 2020. Or I should ask my school to issue a fresh admission letter to me.
5. My medical cover is January 1-Dec. 31 2020. Can I still go ahead with it to reapply or I will need to pay a top up to make it 12 months . I will be glad to get possible answers from you guys. And your advice to guide me on submission of my third application will be appreciated

1. If you mean getting admitted. YES, slimmer. Why? There are more South African applying for undergrad & schools must cater to their citizens first. However, with an A level or already BSc in Nigeria you can get. If the undergraduate degree you going for is not in a STEM-related field. Or if you already have a BSc from Nigeria, I wouldn't advise has this raise an eyebrow to why you need another BSc to the vo.
2. The same requirement as MSc PhD, but put in mind undergraduate degree are more expensive, depending on the course you may have to pay within R50,000-80,000k as an international student (depending on the school) without accommodation fees etc. A fat bank statement from sponsor, parents etc is advisable.
3. UP, UJ, & wits undergraduate structure put their student at first & usually have a budget class structure they can't go over, would advise applying to most unis including those outsides Gauteng.
4. I'm sure there are. besides, you don't need to know any. Just read the previous posts & have your docs, admission letter, Hesa(saqa) etc and apply.
5. she needs to apply for an accompanying spouse visa, applied from Nigeria using your study permit etc

1. You don't put the vfs address, but the South African Embassy address.
2. 3 months bank statement in Lagos, compared to 6 months in ABJ is what I know
3. Check vfs website, its grouped under long-stay visa.
4. It's fine, registration opens till March and if you postgrad(research only) you can register any time of the year
5. The medical cover is fine, the embassy would see its a whole 12 months

sup bro, how about masters program, what's the average tuition. Thanks bro UCT, Wits, Stellenbosch and UO
Msc (research only) is quite cheaper than those with coursework. It ranges with unis, some schools like ukzn you only pay token as registration fee, some like UCTs, UWC,Cput, ufs, stelenbosh maybe around 30,000k.

Hello,

Can you send the link to the five day tour you booked for five days?

Would be in Cape Town for six days and would like to maximize my stay there.

Thank you.
cucumbar:
I passed through camps bay yesterday was just shouting Jesus under my breath. The place fine die. The scenery is out of this world.

Visited the botanical garden, birds and monkey sanctuary, and one other place in Hout Bay.

I hope to visit as many places as possible before I leave. In fact, I’m spoilt for choice.

I booked a five days tour ticket, with about 70 attractions to see.

Abeg, where the blacks dey? I hardly see blacks. I see mostly whites and colored people, except when I visited one shanty part today on tour.
I’m beginning to think that the population of whites and other races in South Africa are more than the blacks

Their clubs on long street are like European clubs with whites everywhere. I’m not getting the vibes I got in Nairobi, as per clubbing.

If I had known, I would have come to Cape Town straight , instead of stopping in jo’burg for 3 days.

As per migration, Make una find me one Southy chick to marry. grin. I can take care of her.

Hello house,

I am traveling to South Africa in less than two weeks and I am bothered about a few things.

My tourist visa came out after my travel date so I couldn't make it at the time, I had to move my travel date to February instead of December that was initially stated when I was applying for a visa.

I was wondering if I should change my hotel reservation to the new travel date or leave it unchanged as I am not sure if there are checks done by the Immigration officers at the port of entry to validate these things.

Please help!!!

Yes. Book a new hotel with the date you will stay, I will also advise to pay for a day or two to avoid drama at the entry point.
