Lol, why southerners give these people money beats me. One yeye idiot said the other time that begging was their culture.

Dear Southerners stop giving people who feel they are entitled to your money, let them starve on the streets if they want to or let them follow tomatos lorry back to their various states to continue their begging culture there.

The day I saw a Hausa woman beggar eating food I cannot afford with two meat and pure water is the day I stopped giving these beggars money,to think all her kids were there too hustling and holding people's clothes to beg for money made it even more disgusting.

Baba now you see, these beggars are eating what the givers can not eat because they don't work for the money they only beg and the money will be given to them

I don't give Hausa beggers my money including d kids cos their mother seats idly & heartlessly doing nothing but to watch her children suffer that way. They should put them all in jail & subject them to labour, except those ones that re serious in dis life. undecided

Gbam!
Exactly the same thing happened to me,
These people make so much money from begging,

The one that pain me most is after they beg finished, they will go and wash the money,
They do that because the money was given to them by infidels, kafir or unbelievers, so to them the money is unclean.

you need to see the way they harass people while begging.they will grip your clothes as if they gave you money to hold for them angry.so they can read and write, then they should make themselves useful.

So they were buying tricycles, bikes from the proceeds of begging but some were still begging, and this also confirms that most of the Keke and okada riders were from the north(possibly not even Nigerians) there truly is a serious security risk, I noticed I am starting to see northerners selling gala in traffic and working at car washes....interesting times
Go to ijeh barracks Mami market there In obalende, they re errand boys to those women selling food stuffs now. They re paid 1k a day From morning till d lady closes.

people should stop giving them money ,it only encourages them to breed like rabbits so their children too will come and join them.

Personally I don't see anything wrong giving to those in genuine need, particularly those with a disability of some sort.

My main annoyance is seeing young able bodied persons taking to begging.

Take those young girls holding the placards, for instance. They clearly look okay and not physically challenged in any form, so why on earth take to begging??

All I'm seeing are northerners. They look like refugees in their own country. The poverty level in the North is very alarming and yet the president is from there.

what of some older disabled beggars, who already have two or three houses to their name giving them rental income, but they're still out on the streets begging

Huh! Should we be fearful of an impending 5th generation war?
Poverty as a result of the seclusion of the citizens from the benefits of good governance and outright denial of their rights to basic amenities by the rulers that take pleasure in displaying their pelf; would unavoidably lead to war...5th generation war!

I pity my country.

Thank you.

No government failed them, this is what Sanusi has been saying.

They born anyhow and expect the nation to take of care of them.

Born what your means can cater for rather than the almajiris everywhere

Them go gree hear? Our former maiguard who couldn't boast of more 20k a month had 2 wifes 5 children. And guess what? He was planning on taking a third!!

Honestly until we tackle the population issue especially up north, all the talk about reducing poverty will be empty noise.

yes naa. Sanwo joke with hausa people and he will be dealt a heavy blow like my igbo brothers dealt with that lagoon common chief. Lagos is a no man's land developed by igbos and white men. And so it will remain forever
