The points are not reducing, those that are waiting should give study route a shot if financially bouyant or opt for Canadian PR.

It is seriously well....189 is now a long-thing although, some occupations are still hot-cake for 190 and 491 especially.

When you get nomination from a state, do you still wait to get ita to apply?

Thank you Sir
tunlex01:

Since you reside in NSW, create EOI for 190 and 491 for NSW.
For NSW 190, you must have been employed as a Mech Engineer for at least 12 months.
For 491, your office and house location will determine if you qualify. You can check the requirements below
https://www.industry.nsw.gov.au/live-and-work-in-nsw/visas-and-immigration/Skilled-Work-Regional-visa-subclass-491

ACT, NT and QLD states are also nominating the occupation but it may be difficult to get ITA from any of those since you don't reside there.

Not sure, you may have to come to Lagos or Abuja or Ibadan. These are the places I know of and one place like this in the north.

Are you sure there is a centre in Ibadan?

Pls permit me I dont know the difference between Abeokuta and Ibadan but I am sure it's one of them cos one of my friends wrote there, a friend I actually taught and he passed. So I guess Ibadan or Abeokuta. But it should be Ibadan.

Yes he can nominate you for family sponsored visa. Just be sure you have documents to prove your relationship (that he is your family member and not 'an elder') and he's willing to provide documents to prove he lives in designated regional area.

Good morning house, my date of birth on my transcript is different from what I have on my passport. I want to assess my qualification with vettasse. I contacted the school and was told nothing can be done. I will appreciate if the house can advice me on how to go about this major issue. Thank you
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Goodman25: 12:10pm On Feb 25, 2020
Please how did you resolve this issue with unilag and vettasse.

Dave4eva:
Hello everyone,
Please, I dey beg una. Has anyone had an issue on a wrong date of birth printed on their degree transcript? I will need help on how they were able to resolve this please so I can quickly resolve mine.

First was to provide more evidence on experience (tax, payslips for all duration worked and explain other things). All these were done.
now, on the second contact, it is on the discrepancy of date of birth on the transcript and my international passport. Birth certificate and international passport has same date of birth but the transcript has a different one.

In particular, it is the University of Lagos. The school sent the transcript initially with wrong date of birth. When the school was contacted, they sent another one again (still incorrect) and admitted that the first one was wrongly typed and were sorry for the discrepancy (Yet still incorrect and different from the first). I just tire for our schools. Now ''my application can't be processed until the issue is resolved and that I should check my registration with my school and that the information on my passport and my credentials must be aligned.''

The same transcript was sent to WES canada and no issue was raised about anything apart from an omission of an alphabet on my other name on the degree certificate.

And unilag will not even give you a student copy so that you can even see the information typed in there, way ahead of anything. Na wa oh. Please i need urgent help to quickly sort this out. I hope to positively resolve this matter on time. Please assist.

Thank you.

You need to declare the amount required for your family size to get a nomination from TAS.

First of all, who made a mistake in the DOB....you or your school?

Please house, I have an Australian friend who I've been working together with on several projects. She's a bonafide citizen of Australia and has lived there all her life. Now, seeing how difficult it is to get Australian PR through the conventional means, is there anyway she can make the process easier for me - maybe sending an invitation, maybe there's different kind of visa for it, anything at all?

I have discussed with her and she's willing to assist, but she doesn't know how.

cc: tunlex01 bellong

The easiest option way will be marriage. Any other way may be 'suffer head' and most likely won't be rosy.

If she invites you on a visit visa, you cant work with that. You will still need to be out of the country to apply for any other visa.

Sincerely, there is little she can do except she's your relative (family or by marriage)

Good day everyone, no knowledge is a waste, so they say.

Currently doing MS Mathematics here in US and trying to switch to Data Science career on graduation. With the way the US system is going, trying to get a plan B on ground, just in case.

To the experienced fellows here, please how can I navigate this route, hopefully with like a year or two years experience as a Data Analyst here.

What should I start working on from now, with a goal of moving next 2 tears through skilled migration or can I just move with my MS from here?

NB: Currently working as a Teaching Assistant in my dept here.

Thank You

Get them to correct it. If possible, scare them with a law suit cos you will still have to submit the transcript when you are applying for visa and you will need to explain to the CO why you have different birth dates especially if the years will give you different points in the age grouping.

Your occupation will determine the process. If it's Mathematics, lecturing or data science, qualification only does not really help. You will need a verifiable experience (at least 1 year) to get a positive assessment from Vetassess or ACS.
