Like always I salute ur creativity, but pls if u permit me to say, don't b railroaded by our hunger for updates. Rather let it fuel ur creativity even more. Criticism exists to point out that ure doing something unique some may n mayn't understand, so it shud b expected bc human wants r inexhaustible (even me isn't left out although I av no clue the perils of sitting down to craft even a page of a story).

So I found myself here after I sworn never to return to nairaland because of how you ended kings book 2, what you did was extremely bad silver1996, you got fired up by some people who were seeking for the end and you abruptly ended that amazing story, since then I sworn never to return to nairaland to read any story here, kings was my first here, you really broke my heart when you ended it like that, lots of my friends were following Kings because of me and they liked the story, you have no idea how angry they were when you ended kings like that, some were asking for your number to talk to you to continue, many emailed you but you never replied.

Please critics shouldn't make you put an end to any amazing work you're doing..., don't be sway from the path you're heading just because some people say they don't like it.., even if you had ended kings 2022, many of us would have still followed you but instead you ruined that amazing story because some people demanded the end, I believe you've grow past the point where what people say moves you and diverts you from what you ought to do, we are humans I know and humans easily get angry over these things but it's not right.

A friend told me you've started kings book 3, I didn't want to come here but curiosity took the better of me and here I am in your thread once again and I couldn't stop after I read the synopsis and proceeded to EPISODE one, I'm really glad you're still in good touch with your creativity, may God bless you richly.

I thought I'm the only one who isn't okay with the way the OP ended the book 2 of kings, the guy listen to those people who can't even write a page of a story let alone a full story and he ended it., like what the heck, after sacrificing my time to a story for two years only to be shocked with that shitty end, I didn't even understand the whole summary thing., sometimes I wonder if he thinks it's children who comes to nairaland to read stories, I was really pissed at him for ending that beautiful story like that, to tell you how we love this story, my friend who also writes, his wife gave birth and he name the child Francis after Francis in Kings because he really liked him, the OP have no idea how devastated he was when he ended the story like that by giving us that stupid summary like who the hell needs a summary.

We don't even know how the great wall he kept talking about ended, he didn't even explain how Taka met Francis and how Francis started his work as a KA-RU to ogini, the book ended with a lot of loopholes like he wanted us to imagine the end ourselves.

Silver please if you know you're going to listen to your critics this time and give us the same shitty end as book 2, please stop now, I wouldn't want to regret why I read this one.

The ringtone of the phone went off like an annoyed rattlesnake, chief Borgias scooped it up talk into it, listen for a moment before dropping the call.....

"What did he say....?"Antonia, his wife asked curiously as she walked towards him from the dining..

"Tiger brought in the AS squad..."He said crunching on a chair

"The advance squad...?"Antonia asked in acertation...

"Yes..."

"That woman must be really out of her mind.., what did she think, that that little squad of gunmen she brought in will protect her....."

Chief Borgias scoff...."The squad worships her..."

"That's alleged..."Antonia interjects sitting opposite him...."We don't know that for certain..."

"She owns them..."Chief Borgias said..."I've confirm it..."

"Those hoodlums are ruthless killers, how could she bring them to the palace..., have her husband's death caused her to lose part of her senses...., this action of hers could ruin our plans..."

Kess swallowed and sat up...."No...!"He reiterated..."You do know hiding the truth from the police is an offence..."

Kess sigh and slightly withdrew his back....."A man is dead chief...., we need to know every single thing he did and you said you two had private discussion not on one occasion but on several...."

"The king is dead sir..."Dorathy chimes in..."So I think it's relevant.."

"What if he does.., you think he's just going to tell us because you asked..."

"I know he wouldn't tell us.."Kess said entering the driver's seat...

Dorathy slipped in beside him and close her side door..."Then why did you ask..?"

Kess sigh and look at her..."I wanted to see his reaction...."

"His reaction wasn't even suspicious, you got nothing but he got something..."

"What do you mean he got something...?"

"Now he knows we are asking for the Godfather, this will make it difficult finding him..., finding the Godfather was secret to us, you just expose us..."

"Well I'm sorry about that, but these are rich men, one way or the other he would have known the police are after the Godfather...."

Kess smile slipped and quickly start the car at the sudden remembrance of Sonia....

For a while non talked to each other until the car engine swung into the lone roads.....

"Call the sergeant..."Kess said, eyes fixed on the road..

Dorathy nodded and took her phone out, without time wasting, she dialled the sergeant number, when the call connected, she put it on speaker....

"Dora..."The sergeant voice rumbled from the other end...

"What's the situation...?"Kess asked

There was silence before the sergeant voice came again...."They're all saying the same thing..., none of them seem to know who poisoned the king's glass...."

"Are you still at the palace...?"Kess asked....

"No, on my way to the station..., the queen took them..."

"Took them where...?"

"I don't know.."The sergeant said..."I didn't ask.."

Kess exhale..."Alright, we are on our way to the station...."

"Thank you..."Dorathy added before ending the call...
"You think they're telling the truth...?"Dorathy asked Kess..

Kess nibbed his lips..."The Chief could be right.., maybe the queen killed him...."

"Or maybe the chief did.."

"What chief...?"

"Dario, the one whose wife and daughter were killed..."

Kess glance at her when he returned his gaze to the road, he saw a man staggering on the road, he quickly hit on the brakes to avoid hitting him.....

They both waited in the car for the man to pass but what the man did sent their spines flushing with shock....
The man dropped down on the floor and began hitting his head on the road...

Shocked, Kess and Dorathy quickly jump down from the car and rushed towards the man....

Kess raised the man, the blood from the man's head staining his shirt....

"Are you alright...?"Kess asked anxiously...

The man laugh hysterically and all of a sudden he grabbed Kess and began hitting him with his head....

Infuriated, Kess pushed him off but the man rushed at him again...

"Get off..."Kess blare out and pushed the man off again.....

"I think he's mad...."Dorathy hollered....

The man laughed, lick the blood dropping from his head before running towards Kess car....., he laugh again and drove his head into the car side windscreen breaking some part of the screen and the other into fragments....

"Oh my God...!"Dorathy exclaimed, shock sweeping across her nerves.....

Kess walked closer and took a closer look at the man, the glasses pierce into his neck, his throat and his eyes.....

"He's dead..."Dorathy mutter crisply...

Kess pulled down the man's dead body.....
"Is this normal...?"Kess asked taking a closer look at the man's eyes......

"No, this isn't normal.."

"His eyes are red.., look like he got high..."

"Oh my God, check his pockets..."Dorathy said walking close....

Kess did and took a small sachet filled with white substance....

"It's the drugs...."Dorathy said.....

"The killer...?"Kess ask with a cringe at the dead man's body...

"Yes..., this is what it does when one abuses it...., it makes one go mad...."

Kess eyes burn with irritation as he stare at the man's body then his car...
"Call an ambulance..."Kess said..."And ask someone to find out if he has a family...."

"This drug is causing mayhem among the youths.., it's destroying lives, it needs to be stopped..."

Kess brows furrowed as he stare at the man's blood in his car seat...."Where did you say your partner find out they're making the drugs...?"

"The saluit house..."Dorathy said..

"Where can I find it...?"

"It's on the outskirts of town.., not too far from here. ."

"I'm going there.."Kess said opening the door not minding the broken glass...

"I'm coming with you..."

Kess sigh and drop the broken glass from the car seat, he took out his handkerchief and cleaned the little blood that fell on the seat...

"You need to stay here and wait for the paramedics to arrive...."

"You can't go alone..."

"I'm going alone...."Kess said back before sitting on the blood stained chair...."If there's any danger out there I need to face it alone..."

"We're partners...."Dorathy shouted..."As partners, we do things together..."

"I'll be back..."Kess replied, start the engine and drove off not minding her call on him....

She raise her face to see who was coming when she heard footsteps..., realizing it's Sulieman, she took another drop down of the wine before putting her full attention on him...

"No..."Sulieman said..."They all claim they know nothing about the poison..."

Sulieman fold his hands over his chest and step closer to her..."The king made so many enemies..., it could be anyone who poisoned that glass...., anyone could have paid a maid to do the job.."

"I know a maid did the job, the question is, who gave the order...?...."She queried, eyes sparkling with anger...."Could it be the Godfather....?"

"The Godfather...!"Sulieman reiterated..."That man is a ghost, no one have seen him.."

"Yet his name speak louder than the trumpets..."

"I don't know of the Godfather but I think Dario might be the kings killer..."

"He had a motive....."

Maria scoff calling it a bluff....

After packing the car, Kess look around the house, it was as Dorathy had described, totally secluded and bushy.., a convenient environment for such a killer drug to be produce....., he took out his pistol and tiptoe to the corner of the building, the walls were rough, severely marked with all sorts of things...., scary writings filled the wall, many saying what every knows...the ghost house...

Kess ignored the writings on the wall and slowly pushed the house door open..., his heart raced when he heard a noise, later did he realise it was just a bird....., he drag in a deep breathe and moved forward, the house was quiet that he could hear the sound of his own heartbeat......

With the pistol firmly in his hand and his grip around the trigger..., he pushed a room door open but there was nothing inside, just debris, papers and cobwebs that clungs everywhere..., he sigh and moved over to another room, there was still nothing.., the place look totally deserted and it quickly occured to him that whoever was here could have moved..

He dropped the gun at his side totally disappointed by his findings..., he decided to walk outside when he stepped on something..., he stopped, took away his legs and step on it again..., it was a wood, he took out his legs again and listen to the way the other places sound.....

Satisfy, he step on the wood again, then he lour down, sweep off the dirts littering the spot with his hand....

"Son of a bitch..."He cursed when he realised there was an underground basement and the wood he stepped on was a door....

The gun in his hand, he slowly raise the wood up a bit scared it's crackling sound will chase away whoever was under....

He slowly dropped the door and look down, there was a staircase leaving to the ground..., he mutter a silent prayer and quickly climb down, eyes widely open and finger around the trigger to open fire on any danger......

He pointed the gun towards the open space when he got down.., there he saw a large table filled with the drugs..., he scan his eyes around in search of anyone but there was no one around....

He walked closer to the table, the drugs were arranged in heaps like they want to be moved....

"Shìt..."He mutter and took out his phone to call Dorathy...

He blinked when he saw a shadow on the wall.., just then he realised he wasn't alone, before he pulled his own trigger, a bullet came for him, lucky for him his shooter missed....

Kess wasted no time in shooting back before pulling the table down to shade him against his attacker's bullet...

Another bullet hit the table almost blasting through...

Kess gulp a dry lump in his throat as two more bullets hit the table..., he soon realise the table will torn open if his attacker's bullets keep hitting it and the bullets will come for him...

He took a deep drag, calculated his attacker's move, when his attacker shot again.., Kess wasted no time in coming out from his hiding, and with a swing, he fired two shot and heard his attacker screamed..., he scurried off immediately to where his attacker is and found him laying on the floor struggling hard to pick his gun...., the bullet had hit his rib...

Kess kick off the gun from his reach and pointed his own gun at him.......

"You bastard...."Kess sneered...."Is this where you make the drugs...?"Kess queried...

When the man gave no reply, he realise he was fading from the bullet wound..., he heaved in a frustrating sigh and rushed to the man side before taking out his phone to call for help...

Still keeping his smile, Lawrence, The crown prince of Saruza dropped his passport in his side pocket and began to make his way outside....

It wasn't long before he saw a known face, one of the palace workers waiting for him....

"Crown prince down...."One of the guards shouted as more bullets rained on them, some hitting innocents civilians...

The bullet and the people dropping dead created chaos as people scream and began to run helter- skelter...

Lawrence widened his eyes with shock when a bullet hit one of the guards and he dropped dead...., he looked around and realise the shooters were far off...they were using snipers making it useless to shoot back at them...

"My prince..."The driver from the vehicle he's to enter call out to him....."This way..."

Lawrence took one last glance at the guards firing back blindly before he crawl on the floor to the driver..., he opened the car backseat and crawl into the car, the driver didn't waste any time in starting the car engine and they quickly drove off.., away from the scene, from the bullet sounds and dead bodies...

With all composure, the man on the doctor's uniform trot towards the hospital room..., he heaved in a deep sigh before walking towards the policemen guarding the room...

"Is this the room of the man the inspector shot...?"He asked.

The two policemen glance at each other before one of them replied..
"Yes and who are you..?"

"I'm the doctor.."

"The nurses has already taken care of him, the bullet has been removed, we are just waiting for orders before taking him away..."

"I was told by the nurses the wound could be infected, I need to check it..."

The policemen glance at each other..., not bothering to waste their time with him, they stepped out of the way and allowed him in...

The man closed the door when he was inside.., he walked towards the injured one laying on the bed.., he smile before taking a syringe from his pocket...

The injured man suddenly woke up, shock swept across his spines when he saw the other man in the doctor's clothes..., he wanted to shout but the man gagged his mouth with his left broad palm...

"I have a message from the Godfather..."The man said before injecting the contents of the syringe inside his body.....

Satisfy with his work, he dropped the syringe back in his pocket and walked out of the room passing the police who didn't even bother to ask questions.....

Few minutes later the real doctor and some nurses came running to the doctor..., they tried to walk in but the policemen didn't allow them...

"I need to see that man, I'm the doctor..."

"The doctor just left.."

"What doctor...?"A nurse shouted...

The policemen glance at each other, just then it hit them, they quickly opened the door and saw the man swollen stomach and foam formed in the corners of his mouth..

The doctor touch the man's body and shook his head...."He's dead...."

I thought I'm the only one who isn't okay with the way the OP ended the book 2 of kings, the guy listen to those people who can't even write a page of a story let alone a full story and he ended it., like what the heck, after sacrificing my time to a story for two years only to be shocked with that shitty end, I didn't even understand the whole summary thing., sometimes I wonder if he thinks it's children who comes to nairaland to read stories, I was really pissed at him for ending that beautiful story like that, to tell you how we love this story, my friend who also writes, his wife gave birth and he name the child Francis after Francis in Kings because he really liked him, the OP have no idea how devastated he was when he ended the story like that by giving us that stupid summary like who the hell needs a summary.

We don't even know how the great wall he kept talking about ended, he didn't even explain how Taka met Francis and how Francis started his work as a KA-RU to ogini, the book ended with a lot of loopholes like he wanted us to imagine the end ourselves.

Silver please if you know you're going to listen to your critics this time and give us the same shitty end as book 2, please stop now, I wouldn't want to regret why I read this one.
