Update reaching me on IPPIS for Federal University workers is that we will be paid what we were paid last month.
What does this imply?

1. Implementation of Minimum wage has not taken effect for Federal University workers
2. Our arrears is now 11 months rather nine months
3. There is no idea or any hope in sight about when the implementation will take effect and arrears paid ,as FG appears redundant about the IPPIS issues.
4. There may be industrial action possibly a week after this month salary is paid.

Ladies and gentlemen, IPPIS is not paying us this month. I can authoritavely tell you. National Vice-Chairman of SSANU said so in the Zonal Executive Council meeting held in my school today.

The funny thing is that they don't even know for sure when IPPIS will be ready. Issues plenty. SSANU and other unions may revert to strike

Do you have any idea whether we will be paid minimum wage this month{February}?

For January salary,we were paid the old wage and it was not through ippis.

All staff in all Federal Higher Institutions of learning are not yet payrolled on IPPIS. Until they're payrolled on IPPIS, no minimum wage, no arrears for them. Just remove your mind. Both the government and the unions are not serious.

What are the Unions doing, federal government is just using IPPIS as a delay tactics, if the arreas accumulate to a year now they will say there is no money. Fg does not need IPPIS to pay our minimum wage arreas, if IPPIS is not ready, gifmis can be used.

I heard that there is no minimum wage increment for federal varsity workers. That the workers are already earning above minimum wage.
Can someone help justify this?
Meanwhile, we have not seen salaries for the month of February here in UNIJOS.
