Also still waiting on United Securities. A problem with these registrars is how they don’t usually give feedback unless you pester them. In the days of paper communication, I recall First Registrars will send you a paper where they tick what the problem is so you know what to do. This feedback issue is one reason I think e-dividends keep piling.

I just stumbled on this; I hope you have sorted it out? I did mine through GTBank and it worked. To my surprise, I had outstanding dividends from Red Star Express since around 2007-09!

You know, the epidemic is not even about money, the rich or the poor, it can affect anyone regardless. It's airborne.
If it were to be African countries, different theories and wrong assertions would have been formulated. Trust the Western world to use this to deal with Africans.

The situation in Africa has whipped a lot of people into submission. Most were promising when young. Unfortunately, the African situation has battered our brains, making most resign to fate. The situation defies logic. I said the majority of Africans o. Individuals can exhibit brilliance but collectively, we're dumb, can't define & achieve common objectives. Religion has become our escape route, our opium.

If you don't have the temperament to start a business, have a flair for Investment, get enough knowledge, information and education about either the stock market or real estate.
Manage your emotions and be focused, invest in fundamentally sound businesses that are growing their earnings and have honest management. When you make good money from the stock market, always diversify into real estate, money market fund or bonds. Invest for cash flow from your investments. Unless you have taken very good care of your personal finances, do not use borrowed funds for stock market investments.
If you are consistent, you will do far better than the average Nigerian. You will be in the top 5 percentile of the population as per financial freedom

I was just passing by but couldn't help stoping to applaud the ever increasing wisdom from this guy. In a single piece, he nailed the fundamental principles to financial freedom, made a public spectacle of them for all that truly cared to look up to and be saved! grin grin grin

Nice one Pa Emma, keep the wisdom flowing! Many Greetings to all my brothers and sisters in the lord. It's nice being part of this family!

it is actually 80k final dividend. The company must have failed to update that section of the audited accounts.

Im definitely one of them but not a fanatic. I believe in God thru Christ and I love God. Note that He first love us. God is real and alive.
Atheists can say whatever they like, I just pray God will reveal Himself to them and they have personal encounter with Him, cos He's the only one that can preach to them and convert them.
The question you should ask yourself is this: Did the endemic just surface? Why has the many intelligent brains cracking till now?
Only God is able to turn the wisdom of man to foolishness so He can glorify His name.
Until God gives them solution, the brains will simply continue to crack with no solution......but we have a God of mercy, who will show compassion because of His own. He will hear our prayers soonest IJN.
Anyway, make I check UBA result wey carry me come first............. grin

UBA would have fly small with this result if not for the bad news in circle.
Still looking promising. Its those outside that will reap the gain mostly.

Third quarter result was not audited, so we should not accept everything seen between the second quarter and third quarter.

It will be better comparing the second quarter with the fourth quarter.

Corona virus will likely push Nigeria stocks further to southern pole this new week irrespective of good dividends on the ground, as Brent crude oil remains below $50, and Dow seriously losing, foreign investors will be bailing out around the world to get ready for investment opportunity in USA, and other strong economy like China and Japan that are really affected by this dangerous virus. When ever the world economic will improve, those country with strong economic will pick first, because of that investors preferred them first.

But local investors has nothing to lose, only momentarily paper lose , because after the current falling in price, stock will pick again and will still rise above the current price. If one still have cash to invest, it will be good for him to wait a little, because there will likely be further stock falling in price within the first week of March. But if one lack patience to wait, he can buy more.

Reading from the side line, I can not help but laugh at some input from certain analysts and investors alike. grin grin grin
Its almost natural that in times like these, u tend to see 3 categories of investors;

1) Those who would look to exaggerate RISK by spreading the FEAR gospel, so they can get assets at a cheap in their quest to time the market.
2) Those who would be infested by the 1st group and become so engrossed with too many extrapolations that they end up missing out on some clear opportunities.
AND
3) Those who can manage to alienate FEAR from RISK, avoid timing the market and shrewdly seek REWARD by tapping from any great opportunity in between.

Some folks talk as if they don't understand the structure and dynamic nature of the market.
Both the BULL and BEAR mkt can make u money if u know ur way around it. ...but the latter, can deliver even more !!
Like I always tell folks;

A period of BULL in the stock mkt is like 'an unnecessary party' and a BEAR phase like 'a trade-fair'.
The latter is when the manufacturer's of great assets put it out for sale at sumptuous discounts.
...and since no one knows the weight of their inventory or how long they intend to sell, it makes sense to gradually cherry-pick when there's an on going 'trade-fair'.
Because once they stop selling, the thing about the forces of demand and supply means that the price of such assets will head back up to reflect 'the mkt perceived price' or the 'manufacturers supply price' at the very least.

Unfortunately, only those in the 3rd group have a complete and better understanding of this.
The funny thing is; even if ZENITH should come down to N10, those in the 1st group would still be FEARFUL and look out for unworthy reasons that'll make them believe that its only worth a price of N2. wink cheesy grin
...the simple reason is because they lacked the qualities of the 3rd group, which includes; having a clear investing STRETEGY and knowing how to properly detach FEAR from RISK when pricing an asset.
Admittedly, there are a few times(very few) when those in the 1st group, might succeed in their quest, but over a time tested guide(time value for money in view), the 3rd group are the biggest winners !!
Time will not permit me to prove this with several Nos from past and present performances of coys in the NSE.

This is without saying that those in the 3rd group are immune to losses, but without a doubt, they WIN MORE !!
Personally, I am carrying a few losses in my trading portfolio, but the gains in my investment portfolio means that I can even stand a further high double digit % drop in certain select coys without ever loosing sleep. ...and that, excluding the proceeds of past cashflow from dividends.

Bottom line: Be wise and know where to align among the 3 groups.
Needless to say that those in the 2nd group are the biggest losers because they are neither here nor there.
With the worries from COVID-19 and instability in oil price, those in the 3rd group will see OPPORTUNITIES in between, those in the 1st group engrossed in timing on the back of the thinking that 'Armageddon is near', while those in group 2 won't know what to believe. grin grin grin

But then again, all 3 group are needed to help create mkt circles as money flows from one hand to the other. ...that's how the mkt works.
The choice to choose where to align is anyone to make.

As for me and my household, we love both bull and bear mkts !!
...both can make u money if u can manage to assign a working STRATEGY to ur PERSONALITY and match it with ur INVESTMENT HORIZON.

Like I always say;

"When the stock market request for 'a drink' from u, give to it but ONLY if its a sound but cheap one.
...and when it offers u 'a drink', take a sip, then drink a bit more but try NOT to get intoxicated.
It's a great way to benefit more from 'him' over TIME."
~Sinclair

"If u want to KNOW if u can SUCCEED in the stock market, then 1st find out where u fall in between SMART, INTELLIGENT and DISCERNING.
...but remember that the market has been CONFIGURED to have and work with all 3 attribute as a collective."
~Sinclair
