One mistake our people make it thinking we are somehow bounded forever by educational qualification so when they relocate they still keep looking at only areas where their have education back ground regardless of if they have relevant work experience...……. make sure you free yourself from that . You have many transferable skills and shouldn't be bounded by your educational qualification or lack of educational qualification in a particular area …….. I am in IT implementation now both my BSC and Master is in something totally different . Find an area, package the packageable and keep trying to target how to enter...… Learn how to package and most importantly learn whatever that area very WELL so that when the door opens, you deliver well which keeps in you inside that door and leads to more open doors

I'm currently on tier 2 visa. I've been trying to get a job related to my qualification but it hasn't been forthcoming. Will continue pushing though hopefully something comes through soon enough. I just wanted a backup plan and viewed doing a nursing degree plausible.

I agree with my madam @lagosismyhome, spending so much on a Nursing degree may not give the financial satisfaction you seek. I understand the frustration that can come with searching for a job, but I believe you can still get something with your degree without having to study a new degree all over. To get a good job takes time and for some lucky ones they bag it in 1 to 2months while it can take 6 to 9months for others, so basically you are still within a good timeline.

For Geology jobs as well, if you are based in Scotland e.g Aberdeen it's a good location since that's where the oil and gas sector really works out from, I may be wrong though.

So I arrived UK Nov last year to be with hubby and applied for B.Sc Nursing which was the plan.
Thing is I'm currently expecting with by resumption will have an infant God's willing.

I've been trying to see how possible studying full time will be especially with an infant. Hubby says child care is quite costly not sure how possible it will be for us adding that to our expenses.

Just got a job as a care worker but I really wanna go to school. I'm reasoning if I could have other better choices that could be part time.

You need a job offer and your employer will then sponsor you for the Tier 2 (General) visa. So if you can find a job and they are willing to sponsor, then you are in business. Agents are very unlikely to be able to help with tier 2 because of the employment part.

This is true. I understand Lagosismyhome’s point of you don’t need to study, because you don’t have to. And yes, it truly is a Nigerian mentality to study. But not studying limits you. You may be an excellent dev but you won’t be allowed into management in a big company. You will earn, but not earn as much as you should.

I would say to the person should start working first, get money, then if they want more money, they can go back to school.

Postsmouth is no different from most other towns..... many towns are quite similar.

Rent wont be cheap like Coventry or some other towns but its reasonably priced and not as expensive as London

2. The purpose and circumstances of the intended stay have been insufficiently demonstrated

Should he Appeal or How would he solve this issue on his next application??

Did he clearly identify and document this ties?....

Appeal or new application, this ties issues, must be evidenced and documented.........

NB : What they are clearly saying is, we are not satisfied you would depart on or before expiration of visa...........

Apart from London. Can people tell from experience good places to stay for family in the UK. Raising children, goods schools, affordable cost of living, and affordable housing are my priority.

Secondly, must my marriage certificate (for proof of marriage) be from Ikoyi? Someone said it has to be from Ikoyi registry and i didnt go there for my registry

Your marriage can be anywhere as long as it is a valid certificate... no embassy can dictate to citizens of another country where to marry

Regarding the rules for their 4 Visa. No child can apply without the two parents applying or else the child will be rejected. There are some special circumstances but anything special is always hard to prove so the easier route will be for a child to apply when the two parents are ready

I told her the same thing too but she argued that its ONLY Ikoyi certificates that can be confirmed as they register all marriages online.
I was then wondering if the embassy actually confirms certificates, that if they do, a lot of those who didnt go to ikoyi would have been denied simply because thy wouldnt have been able to confirm their certificate.

Reason for trip was vacation .. submitted employment letter , leave APPROVAL, letter of INTRODUCTION from the company..
