Former borno governor, sen Ali modu sheriff .... AKA SAS is a big culprit. if the Feb 18 2006 crisis didn't claim my life then I know my life is in Gods hands....I lost friends n famz in Maiduguri that year, it was a Muslim man that have to hide I n my family in his own room n that's the reason I still believe not all of them r bad..... that week we slept in customs barrack n yet the stupid govt or Governor didnt do anything or send military men on the streets. The man man created and supported the then former book harram leader Mohammed Yusuf until things went bad n he was killed in 2009 under president Yar adua, the rest they said became history n we r yet to recover from it.

You were not born during that time so I don't expect you to say it's true. I remember when obj appointed service chiefs of northern extraction who were Christians and those appointments did not go down well with the Northern leaders. Some foreign officials at that time raised alarm about the level of poverty in the North and secret militant organizations sponsored by powerful people and that if they are not dealt with, it will spell into religious crises. Unfortunately obasanjo and co called it bluff and did nothing.

Former Governor Ali Modu Sheriff's name was mentioned as a financier of the group once. He later became the PDP national Chairman. Goodluck Jonathan also mentioned Boko Haram members had infiltrated his government.

The clergy ought to mention the names of those involved. That Obasanjo was silent, Goodluck was handicapped and Buhari is clueless shows powerful people are backing the group. Do not be surprised that those who lost out in the power-play, post-Abacha may be involved.

Since that day I made up my mind that I lose any family member to any group of Islamist abokis in nigeria, I will resign and come home to fight.
