If Pogba stays, then we are fine in midfield. With McTominay, Fred, Pogba and Bruno, all we need do is ease the likes of Garner into the first team. I reckon Matic will stay one more season.

He's not a defender like I said, he's a winger/playmaker. He used to play centtal midfield for Liverpool reserves, until Klopp found a way to crowbar him into the team so that he could harness his passing ability.

Go and look at the history of how each broke into the team, and you will see how important Trent is to Klopp.

Out of the the two, TAA is the indispensable to Klopp. Trent takes almost all their set pieces minus penalties, and is their main chance creator.

Miller can play Robertson's role in that team, like he did many times last season, and heaven will not fall.

If Trent gets injured, then there is a big problem for Klopp.

The problem was not the diamond formation itself but our lack of good full back play.

When playing a diamond you need good overlapping full backs that will give the team width.

One time crosses should be the rule, but yesterday we played with 2 full backs that like to kill the move first before trying to do something with the ball.

Shaw tried to offer some width but he is not a natural going forward, but AWB in particular tucked in too much and did not offer the width that could have opened up the game more.

Our 4 midfielders played well to varying levels, Lindelof was shaky as usual, and DDG is no longer indispensable. To be honest even though he is our most talented keeper he is our 3rd most consistent one. If he leaves i doubt he will be missed but i don't even think anybody will want to buy him for serious money at this time.

look at the scenario when Bruno led a swift counter off an Everton corner, we could see Ighalo sprinting straight into the box and Bruno put in a smart cross because they were in sync. the only other person that runs into the box on a counter in our squad is Rashford and it's a problem. whatever it is I feel the coaching input will be crucial to it's improvement.

for DDG, it brings me back to my point about elephants in the room and Martial is in this group.
when you offer astronomical contracts to players, you tend to want to make them earn their pay by fielding them whenever they are fit.

if the said players deliver poor performances on a more regular basis, then discarding becomes a tug of war as nobody will want their services for such money and the players themselves would not fancy any pay cut.

Martial has occasional quality in him, the best is to get a good competition for him, he shouldn't be an undisputed starter, ole should have started Ighalo last match. Few minutes he was in, he made dangerous runs that disorganised Everton defence. We sorely missed Rashford! God!

For DDG, i was crying in the summer to get rid of him quickly or at least not to give him that contract. BOOM! a huge pay, I was surprised as was this an appreciation for the wonderful years his had with us or a reflection of his current ability? The former seems true for me. The signs are very clear, DDG is not even among the top 10 GK in the league, never mind the world. I think the best is absolve the loss and move on. But this has happened to us one too many times. But we understand its a gradual process, he could achieve this with both his quality and the will to want to play for the club with his heart this makes it easy for him to perform.

But this dolt called Pogba with his supposed quality has his mind somewhere else. if things go south again the Arrow will start manifesting his dirty attitude and feigning injury again looking gor new challenges in pluto Tueh.....

He should carry his quality and go abeg.

Ofcourse, he's a drama king, and i really don't mind him leaving as long as Sancho and two other midfielders are brought in.

However, no matter where he goes, his track record has shown that he can never be the go-to guy in the team.

Hope the scouts get another quality midfielder like Bruno. Grealish seems to stick to the left side of the pitch most times.

Sancho is a must.
