Please, I am new here....

I have been offered admission to do a Masters Degree for the August 2020 semester

May someone pleases advise on the possibility of a 37-year-old obtaining a visa for this Masters Program?

What is the age bracket for the Master's Degree program?

Is it true that the new Schengen Visa rule states that one can apply for their Visa 6 months from the date of intended travel but not later than 15 days to the same date? Initially, Before the new rule, it was 3 months...How true is this?... Like, one can get the visa and then wait until it is valid (Usually very close to the commencement of your studies) to travel

Just to answer one of the recurring questions I have seen here concerning VFS, see below

From what I have read here so far, I found that people are frustrated by VFS's inability to accept more applications now. I complained to my school about the same issue and they told me that submission at VFS for Nigerian students will resume in March.

Are the schools in Lithuania tuition free? if not what is the estimated amount for tuition? do the Lithuanian embassy ask for proof of funds like the German blocked account?

1. This your question is broad.
If someone asks you if schools in Nigeria are tuition free, what would be your response? (No offense intended, I just want you to understand better).

Check for schools in Lithuania, google is your friend or the names of schools people have mentioned. Tuition is dependent on course. (In Nigeria for eg, Medicine and Law Tuition is more expensive than other courses.)

Yes, they ask for proof of funds, or scholarship is any is granted. Check this link for more info ( Click on the checklist pdf link on the page to see documents needed for visa application).

My First Degree is a foreign degree. Yes, my school insisted that I send certified copies of it and that of my transcript. Certified by the Foreign country's ministries of Education...I also on my own got the foreign affairs of the foreign country to certify the same documents too.

VFS Lagos and Abuja has suspended collection of visa applications to Lithuania at the moment. If you get any update on the date they reopen collections please post.

Called VFS on Friday the 28th and they said they will resume collection of new visa applications from Monday 2nd March 2020 but strictly for SHORT-TERM visas. For long term and student visas it's still until further notice.

Goodday Brother, I have a hnd in Mechanical Engineering. Due to the hnd/bsc dichotomy,
I decided to go for a one year top up program with the university of south Africa. I'm looking at going for a Msc in Lithuania and possibly working while studying to help fund myself. I'm also looking at staying over after my studies to become a citizen (marriage, etc), what would you say to me. By the way, I studied mechanical Engineering.

Yes, it is something you can do on your own.
The steps are quite easy and please have a basic understanding of the course you are looking to study. If there are any other questions, feel free to ask.

Regards.

Hello sir,

I think all of what you've listed is possible. I have done a bit of a search through their industry, and apart from IT, I think engineering is a big deal, and you would land good offers there. You can check the following:

Full-Time Jobs

Part & Full-time jobs

Student Jobs

The first step, however, is to look through the list of institutions and email them about your proposed program, sharing your background info with them. I'm almost certain they would respond in no later than 3 business days.

- Be prepared to learn their language. It is expectedly a faster route to getting well-paid jobs & promoted.

Read through this to understand everything else you need to know about permanent residency after schooling.

All the best.
