Camera quality is not by megapixels, hope you didn't expect it to perform better than the likes of the iPhone 8 plus? Download gcam for better results though, check jboixxx compilation thread.

Download the rom from miui..com, then copy the rom into the internal memory of your device in a folder you should name downloaded_rom, then go to the updater app, tap the 3 dots on the top right of your screen, choose update package, the scroll down to the folder, 'downloaded_rom ', and tap on the rom. Update with begin automatically, don't stop it till it's completed, takes around 15 mins. Ensure you switch on data during the process.

Definitely not. You need to unlock bootloader, download a fastboot ROM and flash all these must be done with a PC

The bootloader is already unlocked, cause i think the seller did not confirm that global ROM has been installed before shipping the phone, so the phone bootloader is left unlocked.
