Boss, this situation also resonates with me.

I am a graduate with second class lower, I am sure I am free from all those diseases, but I will still do a medical test to re-confirm.

As for the certificate authentication, I don't know if it's necessary for me to do that, because the field I studied is not where I'm working in currently. I am a graphics designer with 7years experience in branding, motion design, visual arts and print design; but I studied History and International Studies. So, I'm still not sure if there's a need for me to still do the certificate authentication, though I have a certificate I got from an online training on graphics design, I don't know if that is eligible for authentication.

I am not married, I don't have any children, and I'm barely 2years post graduation from University.

What do you think my chances are? Do I still need to authenticate my BSc cert, even though I don't plan on using it?

I have also started applying for jobs from Nigeria, and even got 2 interview invite last month, but on hearing that I'm not in Dubai, and I'm from Nigeria, they stopped responding. Hence, the reason why I am thinking of coming down to Dubai to scout for jobs directly.

Or what would you advise I do instead?

You need Certificate authentication.

It is a good thing that you are getting interview call ups, it is normal for them to stop responding since you are still in Nigeria. You are free to try your luck with 3-months visa but must be prepared to face the challenges ahead, majorly financially.

All the best.

Why do u say Deira is not a good place to live while searching for jobs?
Also which areas are the best place to search for jobs. Thank you
Best way I can explain it to you is using Lagos as an example, Deira is like Ajegunle or Mushin; the kind of people you're likely to associate there will demoralize you in terms of getting a job, all you will hear is agent, agent , agent of which 95% of them are scammers.

Though the cost of living in Deira is so cheap, it's the part of Dubai which you don't see on the media.

I will recommend area like SATWA, it mostly dominated by Filipinos and few Africans, cost of living there is moderate, not too far from downtown.

It clearly showed that you didn't listen to the briefing from the officials there. They always explain everything in detail every morning before they start their job. Ask them.

You don't need to authenticate NYSC Certificate.

RESIDENT PERMIT: ITS PROS AND CONS.

It is no longer news that RP Visa is the best option to reside in UAE for a duration of two years but subject to renewal. I will try to give the following information based on my research which may not be 100% perfect but will surely guide you on what to do.

PROS
1. It gives you the right and freedom to move in and out of UAE legally.
2. Freedom to choose whatever job you are qualified for.
3. Health insurance, should you be sick.
4. Emirates ID.
5. You will only buy one-way ticket when coming to UAE.
6. If you are a graduate you will get a job of between N250k to N700k depending on your qualifications and experience.
7. It allows you to bring your spouse and children easily.
8. You stand a better chance to get Visa to developed economies after six months once your salary is around 5k Dirhams monthly.
9. No police officer will arrest you inasmuch as you obey the law. But if someone like drinking bears, prostitution, stealing, fighting etc and the person is caught, he/she will go to jail and later be deported.
10. It is most advantageous to graduates and few technicians.

CONS
1. It is expensive and range between N1.3M to N1.5M.
2. It is only limited to two years, meaning you must have saved close to N1m when it expires to renew it.
3. You can't do it on your own from Nigeria but a registered company in UAE must do it for you. This is where the bad agents feed on you if you fall into their hands.
4. You can't migrate as Permanent Immigrant here except you are a multi-billionaire with major purpose of investment worth Billions of Naira in real estate and other businesses.
5. It takes 10 years of legal residence to cross to Permanent Resident by law, but the discretion of UAE government officials might not allow them to give you even if you have spent 100years.
6. Once anyone has any of the following diseases HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Hepatitis B, he/she will surely be deported.

Major Graduate Jobs available are for Teachers(for primary and secondary schools), Accountants, Administrative Officers, Marketers/Sales Representative, HR, IT and Computer scientists, Nurses, Engineers(mechanical, building technologist, civil, refrigerator and air conditioning), Hotel Managers etc

Major Jobs Available for Technicians who are not Bsc or HND holders.
Mechanics, carpenter, tillers, Refrigerator and air-conditioning Tech, etc

Major Jobs Available for SSCE holders are hotel attendants, house keepers/maids, restaurant attendants, security officials, drivers with licence, etc

Download Telegram App on your phone and search for 'JOBS IN DUBAI' join the group to see job vacancies.

WARNING
Jobs are no longer available as it use to be because too many people are pursuing the fewer jobs, hence it has resulted to job buying and Visa fee payment before you can get job. This is so much disadvantageous to those coming with 3-months tourist visa. You must be loaded with money to survive.

HOW TO DO THE RP?
For those in Nigeria, it will start from a registered company here in UAE, then completed in Abuja for medicals, biometrics and Visa Stamping. (Check the last 3 to 4 pages for details). While those already in UAE need get the company to do it for you.

For my other experienced friends who are already in UAE, you are free to add your own experience to my write up.

Kind regards.

This is so helpful, thank you so much

Thank you for the response boss, I'll just arrange money for my certificate authentication. My mind is already prepared for whatever happens, based on the experiences shared here.

Thanks once again

i will be very brief guys.

last year june 2019 i got an employment visa from uae, i flew into the UAE and few days later the company folded up with my passport in their possession.

i did not do medicals, my visa was not stamped and i have no emirate ID.

The rest of my stay was trying to get my passport back from a company that had all its contacts switched off but the grace of God prevailed and my passport miraculously appeared back to me, by this time i had 1month and 1week overstay.

i want to all agencies trying to clear my name from labour, to immigration to all al weel and tasheel office you can think off ALL SO I COULD LEAVE LEGALLY AND RETURN LEGALLY.

All said and done i cleared everything and paid an extra 1800AED overstay. i asked if i could come back to the county, the immigaration man said if i liked to come back even tomorrow it is possible.

so i returned Nigeria with a loss of over 14,000AED.

fastforward to feb 2020, i applied for a 3 months visa and it came back denied(rejected)....i was in uttershock. it said my visa had being rejected for security reasons.

how could this be possible? i am stranded in Nigeria my peeps but for how long i do not know.

That means you had a ban. It might be labor ban or immigration ban... if it should be labor ban, that should probably last for a period of 6 months to a Year starting from the date you exit the country.
