Oh. Uhm, I explained this during the Ellen's arc where I mentioned that Alex was in one of the private universities for his first year before his issues with his stepmother came up during the holiday. It was during that time his father had caught him on top of his wife and had more or less disowned him after.

Perhaps watching his friend having sex with a female friend in a secluded part of the university due to the strict standards adhered there might ring a bell if you don't remember the first part of my explanation.
