Let us include in our prayers that oil price doesn't fall below $22 otherwise, EH should not expect any list now. That's reality. They would rather maintain or even cut cost than to add to it. Nigeria needs to think beyond oil as a major source of foreign earnings. NNPC has 50 cargoes of fossil fuel and 12 cargoes of LNG without demand. You know what that means? Dangote has loss #240b in 5hours just because of naira crashes against dollar. Egbadura!!!

All the same, just a chain reaction or a ripple effect.

With Corona virus, countries closed their borders... with borders closed, oil price crashed... With oil price down, FG is now running on deficit budget... Hence the suspension of all recurrent expenditures including all recruitment.

We just pray that the EH category be concluded as promised... even as we pray for the oil price to swing back, and the corona pandemic to disappear.

In all, God will see us through!

One thing about covid 19 is that even if it ends up infecting just a few, it has affected all of us in one way or the other.

Indeed COVID-19 is part of it. But the crash in oil is basically because of the price wars between Saudi and Russia, with the latter seeking to weaken US position on oil production. There is excess supply and an ever decreasing demand. Storage costs is driving down the price for oil as supply increases. COVID-19 has caused restrictions on airline movements as most economies are closing down their borders in a bid to limit spread and flatten the curve of the virus' spread. With the reduction in airline movements, demand for jet fuel will be lower and cannot cater for the increasingly crazed oil supply between Saudi and Russia. The only reprieve that can come for oil price is if OPEC(Saudi) and Russia come to an agreement on an oil production cut to stabilize price which is what is needed in this pandemic situation.

Truth is, we are in serious precarious times. I hardly doubt that the Nigerian economy can survive the bust and COVID-19 at the same time. Recession may set in again, companies will lay off and bankruptcy of many companies will be imminent. Our prayers should be that we should not face both at the same time. If we do, i fear this recruitment may be halted for a long time. However, i am optimistic and pray it ends sooner than anticipated.

Firstly he gave a coded info to the house and it blew so fast that everybody in the towers heard it including the "informee" which caused him a lot of distress and mistrust. Then again he told the house a first hand info that GT's APL will be released in short while but one Teddy X and a few other naysayers called him a deceiver and looking for cheap popularity. One thing I really like Nigerians is that we forget things so easily

Primarily price war between Saudi Arabia and Russia leading to surplus supply.

Things can change anytime at the towers and even some key managers can't authoritatively tell you exactly when it would be released. He (Mr Jarus) was only informing the house based on the information he got from his sources at the towers which is sometimes subject to change.
Complete silence is sometimes depressing. These informations gives a sense of Hope and relief to us.
Now that you've discouraged him and accused him of being a scam, I haven't seen your updates filling the blank space by giving us relevant info.
