E.H, soon we will wait no more. Everything that has a beginning must have an end. The GTs wailed like the APL release for them had no end. Today, they have gotten theirs and moved on. We too will see positive closure and move on positively.

Thought as much. I think with this NNPC can be said to VERY considerate to the plea from "Contract Staff"

However the right thing that most companies do, is for them to do the normal recruitment procedures like ithers and be given preference to fill in qualified positions. The good side of this, is that less money is spent on training them, but the downside of this, is that they hardly bring in innovations. That's the reasons why new guys are brought in to bring in fresh blood and ideas and change the way things are done

Well organizations differ! I know that those days in GTB, once you are a contract staff u dnt have the opportunity of ever being a full staff. Na there you will remain with 50k salary forever.

Have you ever heard NNPC conducting interviews to employ contract staff? Seems you are a contract staff yourself. I never said they didn't have qualification but they got into the system through the back door. Meaning they didn't follow the NNPC recruitment system

Whether it is back door or front door, all door nah door so long as it leads them into the system. They have the experience already and if they also have the required qualifications, it is only fair that they are converted. I believe this will not diminish the chances of EH candidates.

If they are to rely on this,they will never advertise.There is nothing like conversation.
Any vacant position is open to any Nigerian that emerged as being eligible and have satisfied all requirements above other contestants. Contract staff can never be converted, unless they fulfill all requirements of passing interview and test to be a normal staff. They contract staff have experience,but it's limited,because there is limit to what can be assigned to them; and even thier engagement is limited to some activities. For instance, you can't see any contract staff in a management meeting. They are only attached to some officials to help in doing the job and not an independent staffon thier own...

Be there deluding yourself that it would not diminish the chances of EH. Have you asked yourself why the issue of their conversion is just coming now that the NNPC is doing a regular recruitment? Why didn't they convert them silently in-house? Whether you like it or not, the EH chances would be reduced with this whole contract staff conversion issue.

Even promotion in NNPC is based on quota and we are here discussing contract staff conversation. Contract staff are support staff,so how can they become full staff in the senior cadre? Contract staff are given specific assignment under a normal staff to assist, Infact they are not reflecting in the reporting system.because they are to help a normal staff to meet his own target for the company overall success. So they are tools to get what you want and not what is wanted by the cooperation.
For instance, as an officer, you now come to report that your tools should be recognized,

Bro!that's not true oo...I know some contract staffs that if you weren't told you will assume they are full staffs..and yes most of them are independent not just mere attachment..is it the audit staffs,HR staffs...

He just told you they didn't come through the back door. For your information, Thier recruitment then was based on former ITs with ond or HND, though some BSCs found there way in and they all went through interviews just like they did for you guys, so don't think they are nonentities, na condition make crayfish bend o.

I can clearly state it to you that this contract staffs are doing more than 50% of the jobs in NNPC, especially the plants, quote me anywhere
